Reviewed By 187046JohnLovely and very comfortable hotel with excellent and caring staff who made us feel welcome. Only down side was a lack of drawer space for clothes when staying over 2 weeks. Sometimes a delay at breakfast due to the number of guests.

The hotel is located just off the main high street which provides ease of access to the restaurants, bars shops and beach. The staff were very friendly and helpful and a big thank you to Marie. The room and hotel were spotlessly clean so to was the patio area at the front of the hotel. The breakfasts were plentiful with a good range of food to choose from. In addition you had the option to have breakfast inside the hotel or outside on the patio which was nice,

Great place for a chill-out
Reviewed By jwdblytheThis hostal is in a good location, with a view of the sea (over the roofs of the houses opposite, though!) The room was comfortable, great shower although it's hard to stop the water going all over the floor - actually, that's wrong, it's impossible to stop the water going all over the floor! The balcony is small, but big enough and it had a cactus on it, which was a nice touch. The room was spotlessly clean, and a very short walk down to the beach, either via the public steps or by the road. Either route is fairly steep, you need to have good legs! Street parking was easy, whether it would be as easy in peak season I wouldn't know. The town centre is maybe ten minutes' stroll, along the seafront - very pleasant and romantic (but we like San Jose a lot and go there quite often). We will definitely stay again.

Plenty of natural light and with the best views of San José, this building from 1,960 styled like a traditional Basque House has become, with its refurbishes, and has known how to adapt in the time without leaving its origin to get the XXI century. Also is situated in the heart of the incredible Andalusian natural reserve of Cabo de Gata. The Hotel is just a few steps to the beach throw a stairway a golden sandy beach and cristalline water. This establishment has also free WiFi conection and a typical mediterranean restaurant with a beautiful views to the sea. The beauty of its surround, the sea that rounds the hotel, and the different places to read and relax, the dedication of its staff... are only some of the reasons to stay in our hotel. Beauty, peace, armony... Definitely, a place to escape.

Also the mainstreet in San Jose has some wonderful restaurants. We are going to stay here this year for the 4th time :-)

Reviewed By k_jgormanWe visited this Hostal after a bad experience in Murcia.This accommodation had everything missing from the previous property.The receptionist was friendly and efficient.The room was changed for us without problems as we like higher floo accommodation.The Hostal was well positioned, quiet and very clean.The breakfast was good and nicely served. Parking was free and easy.We will return.

A very service minded, helful, spanish hotel.

The staff were fantastic, helpful, friendly and very eager to please.(thank you Fatima :) We were greeted at the reception by a friendly man who showed us to our room. The place has an open courtyard where One couldn sit and eat or chill at Night or during the day. No breakfast is provided but the hotel is located just steps away from many restaurants, shops and the main town itself. Just minutes walk to the Marina where there are also restaurants, at a more expensive price. The hotel room was VERY clean, comfortable bed, air conditioning, bidet, towels, soap and toilets paper. IF you really want a balcony, just ask for one. Access to San Jose beach is just minutes away by foot. Thank you all soooooo much for your hospitality. Will be back. Highly Recommended!!!

Su arquitectura combina la tradición de los pueblos de la zona con elementos decorativos y un sentido del diseño que no deja indiferente. Finca Maltes cuenta con zonas abiertas junto a la piscina, distintas ubicaciones pensadas para ser el escenario de una ceremonia, un cocktail informal o un momento más informal con música. Y, además, con decenas de rincones encantadores por descubrir.
Superb Stay
Reviewed By MicknRuthLocated in a remote/quiet area but easy drive to Coba de Gata, we really enjoyed our stay here. We had planned to do a lot of walking whilst here but due to some issues with my health I wasn't allowed, so we hope to go back and explore the area in the future. All of the staff here were great! So friendly and helpful, although not a lot of English is spoken they really try and engage as much as possible. The owner has recently taken over the management and running of the place,(his English is excellent) and a fair bit of cleanup/renovation work was ongoing during our stay which, judging by what we saw, is only going to improve the place. Breakfast was good but the evening meals were fantastic. We had planned to visit some restaurants nearby but after eating here on our first night we decided there was no need as the food here would be hard to beat and we'd have that 'Fear of missing out ' as well :) The wine choice is great and reasonably priced and my husband got to try some very interesting bottled beers, which he hadn't tried before, so he was also very happy. The one bed roomed apartment we were in (Room 10) was lovely, lots of space, very clean and comfortable with everything you might need if you did want to cook for yourself. The room also had its own private 'patio' for relaxing in the sun with a couple of sun loungers, a table and chairs and a clothes drier. Looking around I got the impression most of the apartments had this same space. So would definitely recommend an apartment as opposed to a standard room if possible. They also have a wonderful lady who comes in occasionally to provide guests with a professional massage. I booked in for one of these and it was excellent, just what I needed after a stressful time of late. I also got to see in one of their larger apartments (Number 5?), which was unoccupied at the time and this apartment was gorgeous with amazing views. A beautiful, quiet, relaxing place with great food and drink - looking forward to a return visit.

Reviewed By Andrew GStayed here recenly when meeting up with friends when we were all in Almeria. Genuine Spanish hospitality at this fab hotel. Rooms very comfortable and well equiped, and the view from the balcony (which most rooms seem to have) was fantastic overlooking San Jose bay. Parking directly outside. Breakfast typical cold meats and cheeese etc, and very satisfying. Definately going back

“La Posada de Paco Hotel& Spa” is a small and charming hotel & spa with a bright and modern architecture integrated into the environment, which is located in the center of San Jose and just 150 meters from the beach, with parking facilities via the outdoor free parking (limited spares). Oriented to adults, the hotel offers 20 comfortable rooms individually decorated, some with higher category (this one include a spa circuit) . The rooms are equipped with hairdryer and amenities in the bathroom, individual climate control, comfortable mattresses, free safe, LCD TV with radio channels, minifridge, telephone, and balcony or terrace with furniture. Guests have access to free private outdoor parking (limited places), solarium with a lovely outdoor pool with jet massage, breakfast room, tourist information area and a wellness area where enjoy a circuit spa, the gym or massage. Also the hotel has a room for meetings and courses, and free Wi-Fi zone.
Fabulous stay adults only?
Reviewed By MkC1964Last minute booking (We walked in) should have stayed further north but the hotel and resort was flooded. Lovely lady on reception showed us 2 rooms a superior and a premium. Premium is best!!? sounds like others have been confused also. Also came with breakfast and daily spa. Bathroom is good but possibly time for a more modern look this is my only negative. As others have said should be higher than 2 stars. As for the lady who gave 1 out of 5 for no family rooms it's adults only!?
