Disappointing - worn down and not 4 star like

Reviewed By MarkVon7

Disappointing experience and not worth the 4 stars. I stayed here two nights on a business trip. Hotel is a bit worn down. In both the hallways and in the room, the carpet is dirty. The room smelled and was very hot, even with the heating off. There were stains on the table and on the bedside table. The water drainage of the shower was not working properly, resulting in water all over the bathroom. The bathroom and toilet are “plastic inserts” in the room (like they have at the Formula1 hotels…), which is not 4 star like, in my opinion. So all in all I would not recommend this hotel

Ideal location & SUPERB hospitality

Reviewed By ankf2018

Booked the hotel because of its proximity to Stade de France (my 12-years old son & I were lucky to attend the Champions League final). You cannot find a better stay if you want to avoid the unbelievable chaos outside the stadium after a football match (or any highly attended event) ends. Hotel staff is really friendly. Front desk manager had hands-on on everything. The hotel general director was always present with a warm and welcoming attitude, making sure that there won’t be any problem whatsoever and everybody is happy. A BIG thank-you.

Good stay

Reviewed By VixenBZZ

The room we stayed was on the 3rd floor, it wasn't very big , but was clean and modern decorated. The breakfast was great, it filled our bellies until noon, the croissants were made in heaven - soft and fluffy. From what I could tell, it isn't a very touristy hotel , but more of a one-night-in-town-with-business place . It is close to the metro, but it doesn't have any stores nearby, the hotel has 2 vending machines if you need water or something to nibble. It was OK for a 3 night stay, although one morning was very noisy at 7 a.m. on the hallway as some men were changing the fire estinguishing system in the ceiling. I was very tired then and 7 a.m. was too early to wake up from so much noise. I

Brief stay, comfortable room

Reviewed By LAH24

Stayed here after our airline cancelled our flight home and this was the arranged accommodation about 40 mins from CDG airport. Room cards were given out quickly. Staff did their best to communicate with stressed guests. The rooms were clean with two doubles in each and modern enough bathroom. We slept comfortably and left early the next morning. Breakfast appeared to be fine-we only had time to eat the croissants.

Hotel ignoring requests after they promised to deliver a VOUCHER as compensation of a cancellation due to COVID

Reviewed By Angelo Daniele L

I booked a family room over Easter, but at the last minute we were unable to travel as we tested positive to COVID. I contacted the hotel and I was told my reservation could not be reimbursed directly, but a voucher will be sent to me, which I could redeem within 1 year. I was asked to email the hotel and attach the positive COVID tests, which I immediately did. The Hotel Manager replied to my email confirming that my reservation could not be reimbursed, but a VOUCHER will be delivered. To date, I still haven't received the VOUCHER and the Hotel has been ignoring all my emails requestion when it will be delivered. Today I called the hotel asking to speak with a manager and was told to call back in 5 minutes and they were away but will be back soon. After 5 minutes I call back and, after repeating the whole story, I was told the manager was on holiday and back on Monday. So I was asked to send an email (another one). I told the staff I had sent already 4 or 5 emails and to look for them in their inbox, but nothing. I have just sent another email, but customer service has proved to be highly dissatisfactory

The hotel and room is basic but clean. No safe or fridge in room and breakfast is average with boiled eggs being the only hot food from the adjacent cafe. However , the problems start when you set foot outside for the Stade de France or plan to travel into Paris. This was the most lawless, crime ridden out of control area I have ever stayed in. Street robberies and cars parked in the hotel car park broken into in addition to police sirens all night long. If you are visiting the Stade de France be very careful on your 5 MINUTE WALK as local youths are waiting around to rob visitors

Terrible experience with respect to location and room.

Room and washroom was extremely small. Washroom was equivalent to size of a closet with almost nil space to even take shower. Even the bed size was not sufficient for two people, it was not even queen size bed. There was foul smell in the room. Hotel is located at Saint Denis and we got confused with other Apart Hotel in the city and mistakenly landed in this one. Saint Denis area was very far from city center and roads were very isolated especially after 10 PM. Breakfast was very limited with only cold items like bread, muffin, crossaints and whole fruits. Egg was to be boiled on our own. Only advantage was train station Carrefour Payel was 2 minutes walk from the hotel and it had kitchen in the room. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone especially if you are a couple because it is not even 1% worth the experience you would want in a city like Paris since it was a disaster for me and my husband. You might save on hotel but travelling would be painful to main attractions of Paris since it is very far from central Paris.

Dancing upstairs, film set next door

Reviewed By LolTM

Looks, it is an Ibis Styles so you get what you would expect. Well mostly.... I only had one night which involved me staying there for a few hours before a meal with colleague and an overnight before checking out early for my meeting. In this case, all I need is a bed and somewhere to sit - I had both. However, my room didn't have any working lights when I arrived. I didn't bother telling the staff and decided to speak to them if they were still not working when I returned later in the evening after a meal - fortunately they were. Maybe this was due to some work taking place in the next room as there were constant taps, knocks and drills coming from their. If their was no work going on, then someone was either building something or it was being used as a set for a murder movie! It was pretty warm the night I was there (too warm for someone from Scotland), but the aircon was working (sort of) and took the temperature from blazing hot down to hot in an extremely noisy way. It also leaked drips all over the floor, even some way from the unit - at least I hoped it was from the aircon, no idea where it came from otherwise. The hotel has sensing lights to conserve power which is great. However, the sensors seems to be miles away from my room leaving me to walk towards the single glowing LED of the lift in darkness until I got there and it triggered the sensor to turn on the lights. Celebrity also seems to stay here as I am sure Michael Flatley was staying in the room above! Some amazing tap dancing going on up there! I didn't have any pressure issues with the showers that others have mentioned - mine worked fine but the only want to stop the water was to turn the tap to about 5% stream - if you turned it completely off, the water came on again! Breakfast was poor to be blunt. A croissant and a pain-au-chocolate was pretty much the limit along with a coffee maching that reluctantly filled half your cup if you pressed the button enough times. Fresh OJ was good though. As I said, you get what you would expect and for one night this was okay even though the useless AC, the dancing upstairs and the film set next door meant I got little sleep on the overly soft bed. At least it didn't have a tall iron fence around it like the other Ibis I have stayed in around the corner! WiFi worked fine although like a number of hotel WiFi systems, it kept on popping up with DHCP errors. Others have mentioned the location - this is in Saint Denis which my Parisien friends say is outside Paris. I would not stay here if I was after a leisure break in Paris. Check out the map! Fortunately it is under 10 minutes walk from the Stade de France station which is on the mainline between Paris and CDG airport.
