We stayed here along a road trip. The off season price was CHEAP for all 4 of us to stay in a spacious 1 bedroom unit. Full kitchen, 2 bathrooms, balcony. We were very pleased. The staff were nice and the location was beautiful! It was very cold out, but the room had an electric fireplace.

Extremely poor customer service, NO heat in room

Reviewed By amcgarity27

Stayed here 1 Night April 9th. Upon arrival, rooms heater was not working. As there is no phone in room, we went to office to ask about changing rooms. The front desk person came into our room, stuck a metal object into the cadet heater to get it running. It worked, but put out very little heater as the fan was not running in the heater. Front desk closed at 9 with no way to contact anyone. Heater shut off, hubby was able to figure out how to reset it(we should not have had to do this) and it started for a few minutes. needless to say, it was a very cold night. Upon telling them at the front desk, all we were told was OK, we will let maintenance know". Nothing more. This is a FIRE HAZARD! That doesn't even cover how dirty the room was. With other guests items left under the bed, it's clear the staff did not clean thoroughly Not to mention all of the notes, through out the room threatening more fees. Would never stay here again.

Another Wonderful Stay

We have been staying at the Tradewinds for over 20 years. We visited again in early April with another couple and rented 2 waterfront rooms. This place is incredible. Always impeccably clean , Covid conscious and welcoming. Neil (the manager) his wife, family and staff are warm, welcoming and always go the extra mile to make your stay memorable. The views from your room are as good as it gets on the Oregon Coast. A few steps from your ground floor room is a grassed area with tables, BBQ and close to the amazing surf! Thanks again for an incredible 4 days with incredible weather that we are certain was organized by Neil!

Sea Haven Motel

We invite you to come enjoy our clean, non-smoking, pet friendly units. Each has a full kitchen, flooring that is easy care (ceramic tile and laminate style) updated decor, flat screen TVs and newer appliances. We are located one short block from beach access, at the north end of Rockaway Beach. Outside, there are gas BBQs and a crab cooker available to help you enjoy the bounty from the sea. This area offers seven miles of sandy beach, stretching between Nehalem Bay and Tillamook Bay and Sea Haven is right in the middle - halfway between both bays. There is so much to enjoy - beach combing, hiking, crabbing, clamming, fishing, shopping, and of course, eating! Next door to our motel we have "Sea Haven's Guest House", a six bedroom home that can be reserved by small groups for reunions, sport or cycling groups, business retreats, etc. Whole house rental (for the main floor with five bedrooms) starts at $125 (mid week, winter), with a varying price structure for length of stay, season changes and adding the sixth bedroom. Each bedroom has it's own TV with DVD player. The majority of bedrooms also have a queen bed, small desk and closet (one bedroom has a full bed) and the upstairs bedroom is great for a small group - with two sets of twin bunk beds and a queen size bed.

Needs some work and better cleaning

Reviewed By lovesmusic

This motel hasn't been reviewed here for a while -- I don't know if it's changed owners or different management, but we booked our room here through VRBO. There are no managers on the premises. There were pros and cons with this place: PROS: It is just a couple of blocks from a very nice long beach which is great for strolling. It was very reasonably priced, even with the extra fees and cleaning charges that VRBO adds on. The kitchen was very well stocked with dishes and it had a full sized fridge, so if you wanted to cook for yourself, you would be in good shape. There were plenty of towels. There were 3 of us and one slept on the futon so we each had our own bed. CONS: The room was very small, with not much room to navigate around the beds. The TV didn't have any service, though possibly we could have connected it to the internet for streaming, but we didn't try that. Maybe if you had your own cords you could hook it up to your laptop or something. There was evidence that they are working on some of the units. Ours had broken blinds and no privacy curtains so anyone in the parking lot could see inside the unit. We got there just after check-in, so we were able to see that, though there were sheets for the futon, there were no blankets or extra bedding, so we called the management office and they said they could send someone because it was during work hours. But if we had arrived late, we likely wouldn't have gotten any service. Our biggest problem with the unit was the animal hair all over the floor. One of the beds had animal hair on the sheets and bedding and even paw prints on the duvet cover. We had the guy change the sheets when he brought the bedding. But we still ended up with dog hair all over our clothing during the stay. The place is a little too dog-friendly. But with a little more effort in the cleaning and fixing up a few things, this would be a fine place to stay in Rockaway Beach. We got some Indian food from the food truck next door, "Taste of India" and it was quite good.

Fantastic location right on the ocean.

Reviewed By Takara1

This resort is right on the ocean with the waves just a couple hundred feet away. You can walk down to the sandy beach and walk for miles in either direction. To the south is Twin Rocks which is a great photo opportunity. The condo itself is dated but kept in good condition. The resort staff were great and very helpful. We loved traveling to nearby towns and to the marina in Garibaldi where we went crab fishing with a 3 day license. Rockaway Beach is located close to other nice beach towns like Cannon Beach and Tillamook. The resort itself has a pool with jacuzzi and a game room. We loved our stay there.

Not Worth the Money

Reviewed By Deniseg7606

One of the positives that came out of staying at this Inn ( not really inn) was that it gave us the opportunity to see our daughter & her husband because they allowed pets, they have 2 dogs. It’s not quite on the beach it’s about 100 yards away. Furniture look like it was dumpster dives & the mattress on both beds (queen & full) were so spongy that it felt like sleeping on a 70’s waterbed. Every time your partner move it was like riding a wave! The 4 slice toaster was only a 2 slice which burned your toast & set off the smoke detectors. The stove’s electric coil burners were so warped that your food slide to one side of the pan & didn’t cook evenly. It was kind of useless to have a sign on the wall asking guests to remove their shoes considering they allow pets & the kitchen floor was very slippery. I’d say they’re looking for a lawsuit! Bathroom amenities were practically nonexistent, one tiny bar of soap, small bottle of shampoo & conditioner. Only good thing they did provide plenty of towels. Showed liner was moldy! The book containing local information was outdated & dirty even tho the pages were in sheet protectors! Never could get the TV to work but one station. The pictures on- line make the place look better than it actually is. This what we paid for 5 nights $1,016.68! After seeing the place we could have done better somewhere else.
