Great stay at this lovely hotel

Reviewed By Yvonne C

We stayed here for 6 nights in January 22, having been recommended it by friends. We really enjoyed the hotel . Due to Covid-19, the hotel was quite quiet, and maybe not to the full availability of food choices in the restaurant, but this didn't stop us having a good time, as still plenty of choice. The staff are lovely and location great, being minutes away from the wonderful beach. Would definitely stay again in the future.

The hotel was nice and cool. The room was clean although the safe had to be rented. The room with separate balcony overlooked the golf course. The bed was comfortable and the shower was good. Breakfast was plentiful with hot and cold food, fresh fruit and fruit juices. Outside there was a couple of pools with sunbeds available.

La Alcoba del Agua Hotel Boutique

La Alcoba del Agua is a novel idea inspired by tradition from a modern perspective. Tradition that is removed from the stereotypical aesthetics of Andalusia but is used as a point of reference. The light, the patio, the colour, the white, the water, the salt, the fountain, the seashells, the esparto, the textures. The hotel as a destination in itself – for discovering, for enjoying. Somewhere modern, conceived through the concept of comfort and cosiness. Bright spaces with simple lines that wrap the visitor in a soft atmosphere of serenity and balance. Located in the historic quarter and full of little details. We pay special attention to the wishes and needs of our guests. Getting nicer every day.

Modern and stylish

Reviewed By Teddington_reviewer

We really loved the design of this hotel. It has a lovely communal area with a small pool and relaxing lounge area that we should have made more use of. Our Deluxe room was spotless with a huge bathroom. There was just about enough room for our things in the main bedroom, so be aware that the standard rooms might be a bit small for you. We usually get up too late for hotel breakfasts so booked room only. We paid 110 euros per night for the room plus 10 euros for parking. This did bust our budget a bit, but it was great to stay in such a calm and lovely place. Centrally located, this place is great for couples.

We have just had a visit to this superb Hotel in Salucar De Barrameda called the Hotel Barrameda. It was a great stay even though it was only one night. The rooms were very comfortable and the beds were superb and bedding as well. The Staff were so helpful to us and we would like to say thank you to them for being so kind. Nothing was too much trouble. The price to stay was so reasonable and we all agreed that the star rating should be higher. The location was so central. We really recommend this Hotel.

Delightfully understated, stylish, cool and calm hostal in great location

Reviewed By MrsH2813

This was my favourite place on our trip to the Sherry Triangle and my favourite room of the trip. This hostal occupies a floor in a town centre building with commercial offices on the floor below. The location is superb for seeing the town (although parking consequently some way off, so you may need to drop your luggage and go to the car park, as we did. Parking is discounted for hostal guests). Mercedes was a lovely hostess who struck the perfect balance between giving help and space to guests. She will mark up a map for you and give recommendations for eating, drinking, walking and other sights. We had a really interesting chat about the explorers who feature prominently in Sanlúcar's sense of its history. Our fresh, bright room overlooked the main street, tastefully and cleanly furnished, lovely big bathroom, coffee machine, big towels, a TV, and decent-sized bed (but yes, only a tiny bin as someone else has pointed out! ;-) ) There is a stylishly appointed communal lounge area at the end of the hall, but you will want to get out into the street where all the life and action is in this wonderful little gem of a town. We loved it all.

Room With A View

Very comfortable and well priced hotel. Our room on the 8th floor had views of Donana in one direction and the Barrio Alto with its older buildings in the other. The bar on the top floor is fabulous and reasonable, while the bar on the ground floor was excellent value, 2 coffees and a large Magno for €5.70. The breakfast spread was variable including scrambled eggs and bacon and an excellent coffee machine. The staff without exception were efficient, friendly and polite. Voices can echo a bit, while we were staying there was a conference which was quite noisy, I think they might have been representing Spain's finest

Great choice

Reviewed By Peter S

This hotel is very comfortable and just 10 minutes walk to town.. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and have wonderful views of the mountains and village beyond. The rooms could do with some refurbishment but don't let that put you off. It has a small fridge which is useful, good shower, comfy beds but you may need to ask for extra pillows, the ones supplied are very thin. Soundproofing is good between the rooms as it is a solid stone built building. There are spacious comfy lounges and a TV room and gardens. The breakfasts are basic Spanish style...toast, cake, hot and cold drinks, cheese, meats and an array of jams, pates etc in small tubs. The reception and bar staff are very friendly but I am afraid to have to say that the breakfast waiter, a bearded man was the most unfriendly surly specimen of a human you can get. Not once did he greet us, speak to us, acknowledge our presence. He simply brings the necessary items for breakfast to the table and walks off. If we wanted anything extra or different, he turns away and brings it. If anything was to spoil the hotel, it is him! The pool is good. We didn't eat there in the evenings. All in all, excellent value for money.
