Very friendly staff and great rooms. Garage available for motorbikes. Great choices for food. Good buzz at the bar with outside seating in the street. Was only going to stay for one night but stayed for 2. Overall a very nice hotel. Will definitely use again on next trip.

Nice hotel. That said TV didn't work (not particularly bothered), and the bloody fire escape light over my bedroom door kept me awake all night, and what can I say about breakfast! ? After eating two pieces of dry toast and drinking a coffee (I'm not a morning eater!) I placed a banana on the table in front of me that I planned to have later in the day, omg! The remnants of Stasi fruit police must have had me on video! The commandant of the breakfast dining hall, Frau Himbanana was straight over with a small printed sign saying no bananas must leave the room uneaten! ? Distressed and saddened, I left said banana that was immediately secreted into the commandants waitress pouch! I left the dining room showing signs of visible distress only to find that our group leader of a motorcycle tour, a man who only weighs 11.5 stone wringing wet, and had only himself had a tea and a small bowl of cornflakes, was stalked and caught red handed attempting to liberate a later morning banana himself! Several other people in the gulag archipelago were also, I'm sure, denied their mid morning snack! ? Would stay again but would definitely travel with a spare banana! ????

A large comfortable posada (guesthouse), with half a dozen en-suite guest rooms, and a sitting room and garden terrace for guest use. The posada has a quiet rural location in Frama, about 4km from Potes, with commanding views. The posada serves only breakfast and Frama village has no facilities. Most guests have their own car. It is otherwise a pleasant walk of about 40 minutes to the centre of Potes for meals, or there are taxis. Little English is spoken.

Beautiful house, with lovely light bedrooms and views to the mountains up and down the valley. Only 3 bedrooms available so you may be lucky and have the whole house/garden to yourself - including a very nice living/dining area. Lots of books and CDs, chess, etc. Everything is very clean and well furnished. Elena is particularly friendly and helpful - and freshly bakes for delicious/huge breakfasts - make sure you have them! There is homemade fig jam from the garden! Elena speaks good English if you need it. Convent short walk into Potes centre and good location for the Picos. Highly recommended.

Second time in Potes but first staying at this accommodation. Building is lovely in a great part of Potes old town. Pool area is a huge bonus and apartment reasonable size . That said it was a little bit tired and needed some attention to detail especially the bathroom where there was mould stained tile grout and a loose shower screen door. The kitchen area had very little items to cook with and all the knives were so blunt you could not cut anything with them. I know it is self catering but usually places provide adequate toilet rolls etc which this didn’t. Finally I recommend throwing away other people’s used and filthy pot scourers and not leaving them for the next guests. Trust me no one wants or uses these so supply fresh clean ones or just leave the accommodation without one Staff very friendly

For us this was the best option to stay in Potes. You are at the center of this beautiful town, our room has a nice balcony with view to Potes sign. Room was super comfortable, clean and with all the amenities that you need plus the welcomed gift of chocolate Orujo. Staff downstairs, at the Sierra del Oso Store, were very nice and with wonderful suggestions for dine and site visits. Certainly, we recommend this property for anyone visiting Potes.

Our family of four stayed in a two level apartment (#6). The location is great - a 12 minute walk to the charming town of Potes, across the street from a supermarket, and lovely views of the mountains. The check in process was easy and plenty of parking was available. The apartment was clean. Our only complaint was that the wifi was not very strong - we were never really able to use it. Overall a good base to explore the Picos de Europa.

The Hotel has 15 centrally heated rooms with en-suite bathroom and television. It enjoys excellent views over the village of Potes and the Eastern Massif of the Picos de Europa, with Pena Vieja (the highest peak of Cantabria)in the background. Also available in the hotel is a breakfast room with a comfortable area to sit and relax,as well as a lounge bar,a reading room with library and an attractive patio-garden. We also have modern 4X4 vehicles for touring the Picos de Europa National Park.
