Reviewed By bbnapsIf you are traveling in the Georgia area on interstate 95. the best western in Port Wentworth may be worth staying. the staff are friendly, and the breakfast is good. it located right off the highway for easy access. the only issue was is the cost is just a little high for me. Normally the best western is reasonable but it could have been the my timing.

Given wrong room rate by call center and manager wouldn't honor it.
Reviewed By lpap2022I called the hotel to make a reservation but the phone was busy so I was transferred to the call center. I was given the room rate which included my pet. When i checked out, I was charged an additional $40 for the pet. When i asked the manager why I was charged, thinking maybe they thought the pet dirtied the room, I was told that the call center sometimes give the wrong rate and there was nothing she could do about it!!!

Dirty floor and pillowcases

Although I had booked a king size bed online, I was told that they only had a 2 queen room available and I would have to pay more for the queen room. The receptionist wasn't very nice, indicated the last king was given to a walk-in and that the online is not always accurate. Not her fault. Then the floor in the room was nasty/dirty, like walking on dirt/sand at the beach, to include toenail clippings. Also a couple of the pillows had long black hairs on them. It was late, so we just threw towels on the floor to walk and threw the pillows on the floor but it just made the room feel dirty!! When I indicated to the receptionist in the morning about the floor she apologized but made a comment like it's hard to keep floors clean (she has dogs and doesn't matter how often she sweeps, you just can't keep the floors clean). WHAT??? I didn't see dogs in the room, what does that have to do with it!! For the price, I expected clean floors and pillows. Traveler beware!

Reviewed By Nancen10This was a nice hotel. It had the basics that we needed. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. It was the perfect location for us because it was about 10 minutes away from where we needed to go. Overall we enjoyed our stay. I also appreciated that there was plenty of parking even though the hotel was sold out the night we stayed.

What a Comeback
Reviewed By brsadihaWhen we arrived, we were assigned room 329. I immediately started watching tv as I was tired from traveling all day. We didn’t notice the air conditioning was making a loud noise. But we did notice a couple of different dogs taking turns barking on our floor as well as so much traffic on I95. Once I turned off the tv at 11 pm, we heard it, a loud rumbling, grinding noise that kept cycling on and off, my husband thinks the compressor was dying. We called down to the front desk and Anne said there were no more double rooms available. But after looking further, she was able to out us in a king executive suite room 217. So the kids slept on the pull out sofa and my husband I in the bed. She saved the night. Btw, both rooms seemed very clean. The next morning we headed down for breakfast which didn’t have much to choose from, but we made due. Overall, it was an ok stay. We probably won’t be back since it sounded like we were sleeping right on the highway.

If it had not been 11:30 pm, we would’ve left. I called the front desk to request another room, but she wouldn’t allow me to look at it before we took it. That told me everything I needed to know.

I unfortunately left my overnight bag on the parking lot when we left, and when I called after reaching our destination, had trouble getting cooperation from the front desk.

Very clean rooms
Reviewed By 220waynekThe room was exceptionally clean and was very easy to check in. I was surprised that a two bed room room was cheaper than a one-bedroom room so we took the two bed. If someone is looking for a place with a nice breakfast you will need to look for someplace different. The have only caffinated coffee, Granola bars, bananas, and nothing hot like waffles etc.
