The 4-star Hotel Tactica is located in the Business Park of Paterna, 15 minutes from the center of Valencia and 5.5 km from the Manises Airport. It is a hotel located in a modern building opened in 2008. It has 103 modern and functional rooms fully equipped. All are exterior and have a private bathroom with all services. They offer adapted rooms. It has a restaurant for dinner and the hotel cafeteria serves drinks and snacks. In addition, there is free Wi-Fi throughout the facilities. The hotel has parking (for a fee) and a charging station for electric vehicles (available for a fee).

Reviewed By Sa2014bI have a very mixed feelings about this hotel. Also, it was probably a very bad idea to visit Spain whilst there are still some restrictions in place because of Covid… One thing I definitely noticed, there is one rule for the locals and one for foreigners…! They ‘remind’ you of the rules when it suits them, but let their locals off with anything. For instance: rules of smoking! Whilst usually in Europe it is not allowed on premises, at this hotel the hotel manager seems to find it awkward to bring this up with rouge guests (if they are Not foreigners), so if you are a non-smoker then you likely get annoyed with continuous odour of smoke! In terms of the staff members: find some very grumpy and nasty receptionists, that just not the person you would want to deal with… On the top of that there are very few of them speak (or willing to speak) English! I first thought was lucky as I had a lovely receptionist (Aru) in the first few days of my staying and the maintenance guy was very kind and helpful to sort out any discrepancies I had in my room. They are definitely worth mentioning! Unfortunately after a few days this has all gone away and with other staff members on board, it was more and more of a struggle to try to obtain any requests or discuss any issues; and some staff members I found particularly nasty. In terms of the facilities, the rooms seem to be adequate, the cleaner who usually cleaned my room was very kind and helpful - so she certainly deserves a credit too! Needless to say that the nice ones mostly are the ‘immigrants’. ☺️ The pool and the sauna are good, but be aware of lack of health & safety standards. Although as I observed it H&S is practically none existing in Valencia (perhaps you find this elsewhere too), but certainly well below of the UK standard. So overall, my recommendation is that try to avoid going to Spain for a couple of more years at least, if you can, until they overcome Covid fears and perhaps make some long overdue improvements. That way you may get better value for your money…

Reviewed By bharat pEverything not acceptable for a hotel this size (a) Attitude of the staff, bordering on being racist (b) Ineptitude in changing the room when complained about blocked basin (c) lack of adequate number of staff to attend to our minimal requirements (d) although a Spa- no access during decent morning time citing Covid as an excuse and a charge of EUR 10 (e) cold breakfast, seemed catered from outside with no intention of making anything nice (f) Dinner time only one guy taking orders and delivering in a haphazard manner as if working was too difficult (g) strange room layout, separating each of WC, bath, shower, and basin thus no sense of privacy, dignity eor hygiene as the WC glass door is the partial height

Good budget hotel
Reviewed By Alma_AmbGood location if you are just passing by Valencia or going to the airport. The hotel offers free parking which is very useful. The hotel is alright, basic rooms, the bathroom could use a little extra cleaning. The breakfast was worth the price, with a 24/7 coffee machine. The only problem we had that we got a room next to the elevator and there was a big group of people on our floor making a lot of noise during night and early morning. Otherwise good budget hotel

Good value no frills accommodation

The rooms are basic with some of the fittings a bit worn but the bed was comfortable and plenty of space. The restaurant had good food served quickly. Not a huge choice but enough for my needs. It doesn't open until 20.30 but they will serve drinks before then. The hotel is well situated for the business park and you could walk to it. About twenty minutes or so. Just as well because the parking spaces at the business park fill up quite quickly. There is some noise from the road but not enough to keep me awake at night. I would be happy to stay here again.

Well located for arrivals and departures from the A7 (Barcelona, Madrid and Alicante) Valencia 10 minutes and quietly to rest by noche.Buen price and good quality of service.

The negatives - Pool was not clean. 2 sun loungers and both were split so that your flesh would catch in the cracks! Breakfast was dreadful. There was a school group in the hotel and by the time we arrived for breakfast (at 9.30 am) there was hardly anything left. No juice, water, pastries or hot food, just some curled up cheese. When my husband asked if he could have scrambled egg, the waiter was extremely rude and said they didn't do scrambled egg. The attitude of the waiters was dreadful. They spent their time clearing up after the big school party an resetting their tables (presumable for lunch). The other guests were ignored. We had booked 4 nights here because admittedly it is cheaper and supposedly 4 star but we checked out on day 2.

Very well placed comfortable cheap motel

The room was small, but very comfortable and had everything you need, including a small fridge. I found the walls a little thin, but wasn’t a great problem. A very short walk to heron city for loads of restaurants and a supermarket, and cinema. Very well placed for the motorway. Would stay again if passing through.

Reviewed By Andi WHey folks, Nice place, good price, very clean rooms. However, you should be aware that WITHOUT A CAR YOU MIGHT BE TOTALLY LOST !!! The place is far away from the city. There are some buses, but they won't help that much, especially in the night - the last one departs at about 20:00 o'clock. Sometimes there are no taxis due to strikes (it's called "huelga general" in Spain). This happened to us on a Sunday, and no one of the Spanish people helped us to get to the airport (which is only about 8 minutes by car !!). Finally a kindhearted Frenchman took us there, the staff did not care at all. I should also mention that the WIFI did not work when we were there. Two days there was no connection, on the other days the connection was very poor. Finally, the name "wellness" is misleading: There is no sauna, fitness room or SPA in the hotel. The lesson is clear: This place does have its benefits - but we will not return. Don't forget to bring or rent your car!

Reviewed By mortgagemanWe have just spent four unforgettable days in “this hotel” We found it very difficult to recognise many of the attributes shown on their website. Our room had two single beds with a pice of rough stained carpet that had not seen a deep clean in years. There was no television, no working fridge, no plug in the bathroom, a toilet With only half of the flushing system in place. A 21st century shower which if you are unlucky the water is so hot it can boil you!! It is miles from town if you go by bus, or you can make a 20 minute walk to the tram station and get of by the town gate. The main problem with the tram is you have to get a local to work the ticket machine for you. The bus drops you well outside the tourist area. We never actually found out where we were. The web site talks about a courtesy bus to and from the airport. We were told to get a taxi!! Even the taxi driver did not know where the hotel was. It is in fact in a gated complex with a security guard 24/7. Breakfast was quite reasonable but if you want tea, take your own tea bags. The best thing about the hotel is Carmene who runs the establishment. She was the one thing that made this place reasonable. I see on some sites this is rated 3/4 star. Forget it, maybe 1 star if you are easily pleased. Put it this way, despite the attention of Carmene we will not be going back.
