Terrible hotel all around

We waited in a long line to check in, the staff didn’t know anything about dining options in the area, their own restaurant wasn’t offering outdoor dining despite advertising that as an option. They have luggage carts for use which are a liability. They roll and crashed down 3 stairs hitting our car. The hotel handled this incident terribly. They have no staff helping with bags or even opening the heavy front door for guests wheeling the luggage carts. We requested a refrigerator when we reserved the room which they neglected to provide. After harassing the front desk staff finally they rolled one in reeking of salad dressing. The worst was that we were woken up at 1am by other guests. The walls are paper thin - do not expect to get a good night sleep. This hotel is overpriced and not worth it. We regret staying there.

Reviewed By 344cathWe booked a very last minute one night stay to Cooperstown. Purpose of our visit was to golf at Leatherstocking. We read the reviews of The Landmark and decided to give it a try. It exceeded our expectations. Staff and owners are super nice, helpful and friendly. Our room was upgraded to the much sought after Summersuite. We did not ask for upgrade… such a nice suprise. We lucked out. This room is decorated comfortably to perfection. An inroom sauna was an added bonus. The king size sleigh bed with super soft linens was so comfortable . The funest green leather chairs in the giant bathroom. I never wanted to leave this room. No detail has been left to chance. The decor, the planting, the ambience are top notch. Breakfast was simply delicious. Pancakes, fruit, juice and coffee. Each room is decorated differently. Staff was attentive but not in your way. I have to go back.!!! Dont miss out

There are charcoal grills and lots of chairs to enjoy the area around the motel rooms. We would definitely return if in the area.

Reviewed By hammymayTheir were outlets that were broke and unsafe for kids to be around. The remote to the TV didn’t work so we could use the TV. The pool was out of order so that was a disappointment. They put my family in a different building away from the main building that was dirty and unsafe feeling. The main building looked so nice and the building we were in not so nice.

Completly re-built from the ground up the Lake Front Hotel is in the heart of Cooperstown on the south end of beautiful Otsego Lake. 1 1/2 block from Main Street and the Baseball Hall of Fame. On-Site restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner is season from Memorial Day to Columbus Day. Kayak rentals and boat tour on site. This Lake Front is sure to please both couples and families.

Reviewed By melindas415We were a group of 4 couples visiting Cooperstown to see a concert over the weekend. We had a last-minute change with some of our group and they completely accommodated our needs. Every detail was wonderful; from the Adirondack chairs along the babbling brook at the rear of the property, horseshoe pits and outdoor couches to beautifully appointed rooms all newly remodeled. The beds are really comfortable. Continental breakfast was available all day!! Short walk to town. We will definitely be back!! Loved it!!

Reviewed By pamerlaWe weren't sure what to expect. Upon our arrival we were thrilled with the appearance of the buildings and grounds. The office staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. Check in was a breeze. Our cottage, #132 was so much more than we could've hoped for. Large, clean and right on the water. The kitchen has everything to make a meal including all the plates, glasses, mugs and silverware you could possibly want. The bathroom is also large and the shower is great. The beds are firm yet offered a great night's sleep. This cottage is not next to any other cottages and is quiet. Comes with a large flat screen tv with cable. There is a fully screened in porch and a very nice deck with an umbrella table and full size gas grill. I could not recommend this place enought!

Clean and Comfortable Lakeside Motel
Reviewed By TravelFamily1531We stayed in May 2022 for a concert at Brewery Ommegang. Checkin was quick and easy. Our room was very clean and the beds were super comfortable. The little beach area has plenty of seating and a fire pit. We took out the kayaks and the water was calm and clear. We will definitely be back. Not a negative for the hotel, but there were no Uber/Lyft drivers available and we couldn’t get a taxi since it was an event weekend and we didn’t reserve in advance. There is no food nearby, but it wasn’t an issue since we brought snacks and Cooperstown is an easy drive.

Reviewed By Beverly CMy sister and I took a trip all over New York and one of our stops lead us to the Red Carpet Inn. The motel is quaint, very quiet and just a treasure! The bed was comfortable, we enjoyed having a refrigerator in our room and the staff were very friendly and professional. We were pleasantly surprised with the motel.

Complete Misrepresentation
Reviewed By Tom NComplete bait and switch. There is really no lake access and is certainly NOT lake front. You have to walk hundreds of feet thru and past private property down a steep hill to access only about fifty feet of rocky beach. More appropriate at $75 a night, NOT the $200 current rate. Don’t be fooled, find another accommodation!!
