Total escape, idyllic setting, amazing team
Reviewed By 680ladypGreat five-star hotel located in Propriano. Location is stunning, the whole staff is extremely nice and tries to make your stay as memorable as possible. The hotel has 2 in-house restaurants: - La Paillote (lunch and dinner), at the beach, affordable. - La Verrière (dinner only), delicious gastronomic restaurant with the newly onboarded Chef James Chauchat-Rozier accompanied by Chef Samy Loison for desserts. Tasting menus only (not à la carte), expensive obviously. Breakfast is very nice with a large choice of options: fresh seasonal fruits, different teas, healthy options (nuts, granola, goji berries, dates, honey, fig jam,…), but also croissants, a variety of breads (fig, cranberry, cereals,…), cheese from Corsica, smoked salmon, eggs, sausage,… Don’t hesitate to ask for lactose free options that are not necessarily displayed (I asked for an oat milk coffee latte and got it! As well as an almond milk yogurt). The cherry on the cake is that every morning, there are specialties made by Chef Samy Loison (google him if you don’t know who he is), the Pastry Chef from the gastronomic restaurant La Verrière. A couple of things can be improved: - the room was ok (comfortable bed, beach-view room with an amazing view) but the shower is made in a weird way: it doesn’t have a door which turns the bathroom into a messy wet-floor bathroom every time you shower, and that, even if you try to be careful. - The hotel is in a 5-star location but the service can be improved (heterogeneous staff: some staff here and there is extremely junior and lacks experience). Despite those 2 points, I HIGHLY recommend this hotel: - On the 1st issue, we reported it the next day: apparently the hotel was renovated recently and this issue has been well noted. They accepted to make the room twice a day to accommodate the inconvenience. - On the 2nd one, I do acknowledge that the hospitality sector has suffered from Covid and finding the proper staff has been quite challenging for the entire industry. It isn’t a problem unique to this hotel. Special thanks to: - Léa at the reception who gave us a warm welcome, a daily smile and was always helpful, - Laurence for her tips (what to do around the hotel and in Propriano) and for her daily talks at the breakfast making sure we were all ok, - The waiter at the Bar Williams, - The staff at the beach, - Emmanuel who recently took over the organisation of the breakfast and the service at La Verrière ; extremely professional, helpful, smiling, welcomes feedback and has great ideas for the improvement of the whole set-up: no doubt visitors this summer will be spoiled and lucky to stay at Marinca, - Laëtitia who is the best waiter, period! She serves at the restaurant La Verrière and in the morning for breakfast. Passionate, smiling, competent, definitely in the “5-star-range” staff. Thank you for making this stay a great one!

Reviewed By southernbelle007We have stayed here before on our trips to Corsica, and have always found this hotel a perfect fit. The rooms have beautiful sea views. They are spacious, and ours had an outdoor terrace with which to dine or enjoy the weather. There is a nice beach area, and a bar and restaurant which makes staying here very relaxing. The staff is helpful and friendly. We enjoyed cocktails on the beach regularly, and enjoyed a few meals in the restaurant and our room which were delicious. Thank you staff for a great stay!

Located in the southwest of Corsica, at Olmeto, Valinco Gulf, the resort offers 2 swimming pools , one is heated in the low season; a bar/lounge, a Restaurant/Pizzeria from june to september which serves healthy food with products coming from our vegetable garden, a new boutique/grocery, a playing ground for children, outdoor fitness and stretching and comfortable new cabins or large places for tents not delimited. The first beach is located at less than 1,5km with a free parking down. In 2019 a New Spa and Events Space will be available ....
Good camping, inhospitable reception
Reviewed By Esther MWe arrived on this campsite near Olmeto and Propriano without reservation. As the reception was closed, you could find a place yourself and report to the reception later. You cam choose to stand where you want. There are very view campsite places with a view on the gulf/Propriano. The good views are for the rental houses and the pool. We found a nice spot at the upper part of the campsite. Not all parts of the campsite are flat. The reception was inhospitable. A younger girl (trainee?) who did the reception and an older lady who kept interupting in french. Their overall attitude was concern that we would leave the campsite without paying, ‘because that sometimes happened’. So to be sure they treat all the arriving customers with this message and distrust. I have never in my life ever left a campsite without paying. We had the tent near a toiletbuilding, but after we made camp we found out that is was closed up. There was only one toiletbuilding of average quality. There were 9 toilets for the whole campsite of which 3 were permanently closed. The toilets were uncomfortable narrow/small. All facilities in the toiletbuilding are shared unisex. At night we found out that our part of the campsite had no lights at all. We paid 25,30 euro per day for 2 people,1 tent (folder) and electricity.

Super hotel in fantastic location.
Reviewed By BubblyJubblyGreat choice of breakfast and very good food on offer in the evenings. Excellent views and friendly staff in spite of language barrier. Our room was nice and modern, with efficient and quiet air con and we heard no noise from adjacent rooms or the road. We slept very well in a large, comfortable bed and enjoyed the excellent en suite shower room. There are two lovely swimming pools, both with accompanying views and sun loungers. There is also free parking nearby and Olmeto is well-placed for visiting beaches and towns such as the delightful Sartene. Highly recommended, though with Olmeto's steep slopes and steps, not really suitable for those with mobility issues.

Terrible service, mice in the resturant and overpriced
Reviewed By TB72CaracasThe location is nice, on the beach, but the hotel is not worth a 3 star hotel, At most a 2 star. The restaurant service is terrible: you have to wait for an hour to be given the menu, then another hour to be asked for drinks and eventually an hour later your food order is taken. My daughter saw a mouse running behind the breakfast buffet one morning. Some of the people there are nice and friendly but overall this is not a place I would ever go back again with or without my family. The beach 'suite' is extremely overpriced at more than 600 euros a night and at that price you could hope that some sort of room service for a coffee in the morning would be part of the deal. You have to go to the restaurant to ask for your cup of coffee.

Shady, terrace camping with wonderful pool
Reviewed By Kiem TNice campground on the road from Porto Pollo to Propriano. We had a great pitch on top of the hill with a few of the sea. Bread service in the morning, beautiful pool overlooking the ocean and the beach is a 5 minute walk away. Clean, basic sanitary, fridge for rent, decent restaurant with animation.
