Reviewed By 186terrygDestany elevated a good hotel experience because of her great customer service attitude. When my wife and I visited there was a large and very demanding tour bus group. From the start, she made sure we didn’t get lost in the scrum. It was obvious the hotel (like everywhere) was short staffed. I don’t think I ever saw Destany when she wasn’t in motion helping someone.

Reviewed By ThekansaspyetWe stayed in rm 330; a king room for one night. One half of the lobby area was undergoing renovation and was covered with plastic sheeting and sheet rock. Our room had the smell of chalk, until our senses got used to it. The room had recently been renovated-new carpet, daybed chair, room lighting, (and a spectacular new bathroom sink, mirror and vanity lighting-the best we've seen recently). Loved the sink area! The bed was comfortable, and sockets allowed for easy bedside cell phone recharging. However.... the individual switches for the bed wall lights were on the far side from the bed, so you can't turn them off while lying in bed. The daybed chair wasn't comfortable, so we didn't use it. And with a blank wall in the bathroom, you would think someone would think just where the used hand towels are going to hang if the hooks behind the door are used to hang clothes? No one wants to lay hand towels on the sink counter. Opportunities lost. We were so exhausted, we didn't notice the road noise when we checked in, but both woke early due to the heavy truck traffic the next morning. The hotel is parallel to the adjacent highway, and room 330 is on the highway side.

You get 1 channel on the remote. If you complain the night clerk, and I can't figure out why she was there, would dig in her drawer and give you another one that didn't work either.In the 1st room it was Fox News, and in the 2nd, they moved us due to the a c wasn't working, was Lifetime. In the 2nd room all the light bulbs were out except when you walked in and the b/room, and lamp if you can get it on and off. Then the card has to be reactivated every singled time you come back to your room. There was food or drink or breakfast because they were redecorating and they always had an accuse. The night clerk needs to be fired. She was either on her cell phone talking, or playing on it. She was sleeping and huddled up in some old coat. I asked repeatedly for a manager and there was never one there! I would never stay at a La Quinta Hotel ever again!

Reviewed By bnghty741I have stayed at this property many times in the past. My stay was usually pleasant until the last three years. My recen stay was very disappointing and I will probably not return. The entire building had a musty odor. The odor in the rooms was worse. Dead (thankfully) roach in the restroom. My opinion is that the rooms do not have adequate ventilation when they are unoccupied.

We are the only Full Service Hotel in New Iberia. We have both non-smoking and smoking rooms. Cafe' Le Jardin opened for breakfast and dinner Sunday thru Friday and breakfast only on Saturday. We also have guest laundry, gym and free Wi Fi. We are the only Hotel with a full size outdoor pool surrounded by beautiful courtyard. We have approximately 5000 square feet of meeting space for various types of functions.

Reviewed By templetiveyParties that are not patrons at this hotel come and go at will. Parking at the hotel, using the facilities available (pool) and leave when they are done. We watched several vehicles come and go (they parked next to us) over the time of our stay, they never entered a room, only came to swim then they would leave at dark. There is no security at this location, rooms, parking lot, grounds, etc all need cleaning. Professionalism from the staff would be nice. Our room was barely cleaned once within the 3 days/4 nights of our stay. However, he beds were very comfortable.

Reviewed By S1715YKheathermI stayed at this hotel a few years ago and it wasn't too bad. 6 years later, I am sorely disappointed. After our air bnb fell through, we needed a place to stay in a pinch. Unfortunately this place was less than ideal. The door on first room they gave us would not latch, so anyone could walk into it at anytime. The second room has roaches in the kitchenette and rodent droppings in the bathroom. The shower had no pressure unless it was set to hellfire hot. The TV in our room was broken. I reserved a handicapped accessible room for my parents. Im not sure how it is considered ADA compliant as there was no roll in/walk in shower. Lucky my mother didn't fall stepping in/out of the shower.

Reviewed By sygrieL'hôtel est situé dans une zone commerciale, assez silencieuse la nuit, et les chambres sont grandes. Ce sont les seuls points positifs. La chambre était tellement sale que les chaussures collaient sur le sol; nous avons essayé de nettoyer avec les serviettes fournies, elles sont revenues noires de crasse (voyez mes photos). La climatisation est vieille et très bruyante, au point qu'il faut l'éteindre si on veut dormir. Le réfrigérateur (vide) est lui aussi très bruyant, on a du le débrancher. Aucune isolation phonique, on entend les voisins comme si on était chez eux, et pour couronner le tout, notre chambre était à côté du local de service où les employés ont commencé à travailler à 4h30 du matin. Il y a un wifi, mais il est tellement faible qu'on ne peut même pas l'utiliser pour télécharger des emails. C'est pas cher, mais c'est encore trop vu les prestations scandaleuses.

HORRIBLE. SLUM LORD OWNERS DON'T MAINTAIN HOTEL

Came here Nov 2021, hot tub still not working and lady behind desk said they never fixed it... 5 years and never fixed it! THAT SAYS VOLUMES. THEY COMMIT FRAUD BY ADVERTISING THEY HAVE A HOT TUB. Also got to room and found NO smoke detector, desk chair has broken leg. Lights flicker, electrical outlets loose, holes in wall, stains on floor and sink doesn't work. You can find better maintained hotels in the ghetto! Shame on Choice Hotels for keeping hotels like this on their franchise.
