The room was very clean and the night clerk was very friendly and helpful. The hotel could use renovation as it is dated, but it served its purpose. As I said earlier, the room was very clean with clean towels and the amenities that I needed such as an iron and a blow dryer.

Reviewed By Chris HSpent two nights here in a king room. Really nice room except for the lack of room lighting, the uncomfortable bed, and the dated bath—clean bath but really showing its age. The rest of the room was great. Had large dorm style refrigerator but no freezer compartment—bummer for our freeze packs. The room really needed more lights—was overall very dim, especially at the desk with no light near it at all. There wasn’t any hot breakfast and less selection of cold foods offered than usual for typical hotels in this price range with just cold cereal, bread, bagels, packaged pastries, etc., and some fruit. Only seven seats. There is a pool here that we used but even in Florida in May, the water was very cool. Really nice staff. Note that the hotel WiFi is totally unsecured. No daily room service.

While it was free it was not what I am used to staying at Holiday Inn Expresses. The coffee was terrible the food non existent, the bagels hard as rocks, bottom line the Chobani Yogurt was good but that was about all. This was not a good way to start the day we went to DD.

Reviewed By agolddogIt's a small roadside motel. As such, it's what you should expect--nothing fancy, but clean and ok. Like most of these places, could use a little TLC with paint etc, but nothing wrong with it. Owner a real nice guy, pleasant to meet.

BED BUG INFESTATION
Reviewed By hannahoJ5538CUI stayed at this hotel last night and noticed my room had many bed bugs. I have bite marks all over my side. The pillow covers and mattress cover had old blood stains on them. I asked for another room but I left instead. Who knows how many other rooms have them.

Kingfisher is cute but lots of stairs
Reviewed By EasyBreesy71037My sister rented the Kingfisher cabin for us. Slept 6 comfortably BUT lots of stairs outside then 2 more sets inside. Top floor was a stocked kitchen, living area, beautiful covered patio in the trees but NO bathroom. 2 cutely decorated bedrooms, another living area, 1 full and 1 half bath downstairs. Picnic table & hammock under cabin with fire ring & chairs looking at creek. Additional bathhouse in front of unit was handy after doing our EXCELLENT river tubing tour. Wonderful staff, beautiful grounds, lots of unique cabins (schoolhouse, caboose). Definitely will return!

The staff went above and beyond time and time again to deliver amazing hospitiity! There was a random cold snap forecasted for the day of our event they purchased electric blankets for all the Glamping tent guest! Everything about the cabins feels “homey and personal” there’s nothing that feels commercial or institutional! Even the towels are fluffy and high-quality! (And not white lol ) The staff was very present throughout the entire event and willing to do anything and everything to help things flow smoothly for event! Mary wiping down the glass doors right before things got started was a great touch and Nick was so incredibly flexible with every little detail as plans kept changing at the last minute. The location is a beautiful place to have a wedding, the ability to have out-of-town family all stay in the same place is wonderful, but the crowning glory of this venue is definitely the hospitality, kindness, and flexibility of the people who serve there. I promise it makes all the difference! I HIGHLY recommend Cold water gardens to anyone, for a simple family getaway or for an entire wedding!
