A brilliant long weekend wedding!
Reviewed By bevvv97A fantastic trip from start to finish. We stayed from Friday-Sunday with a wedding in between on the Saturday. The facilities were great! Huge, clean and cool pool, great restaurant with yummy poolside meals, great selection at breakfast and a staff who were extremely accommodating and friendly. Rooms were also impeccably clean and had everything you would need for the weekend; shower worked well, air conditioning worked well and room was spacious with a safe. The rooms were also incredible value for money, meals at the restaurant were cheap and so was breakfast. As for the wedding, the staff at ilunion hacienda mijas exceeded all expectations. The event was organised brilliantly from start to finish. Staff were extremely attentive to guests and their needs, constantly supplying people with food and drinks, always smiling and friendly which makes all the difference, and just generally very pleasant. We all had a great time and commented on the quality of the decor, food and ambiance. The ceremony by the pool was beautiful with views out to the coast, the canape area was also beautifully decorated and so was the indoor food/dance hall. Overall, what a beautiful place to stay for the weekend AND host a wedding! Will definitely be recommending to all family and friends. Fantastic job all at Hotel Ilunion Hacienda Mijas!

Los Amigos Beach Club by Diamond Resorts is the perfect peaceful holiday accommodation in Costa del Sol for families and couples offering spacious apartments, fantastic outdoor swimmingpool and indoor spa and plenty of activities for everybody.
Lovely accommodation but that's it
Reviewed By Emer WOkay the accommodation was amazing best we ever stayed in but rest was not great firstly the grocery store onsite should be closed I never met such a rude bunch of people in my life nearly try to fight you going in everytime you would be afraid to ask them a simple question, my husband asked if they knew were smokes were sold and the rude Chinese guy shouted "no I don't smoke" and my 12 year old son opened his ice cream as he walked out door and guy screamed at him "no ice-cream in here" honestly worst people I ever meet and they'd put me off ever returning to this resort. Bit more signage around resort would help too because as we arrived we were completely lost didn't no we're reception was and were told we had to book sun longer but we're never told we had a Pacific number to sit at. Bar guy was friendly but happy hour we never got money off drink and bar was closed on tue only day bar guy had off. Sorry but won't return

Like all of our Macdonald Resorts, in particular those in Spain, you'll see how much time we spend creating the most beautiful grounds and landscaping around the resort. Waterfalls, sculptures, palms and flowers line the resort and frame the uninterrupted view of the Mediterranean. Centred around the outdoor swimming pool we have three apartment blocks, no more than two storeys high and sloping down towards the sandy beach ensuring sea views from our pool, bar, restaurant and a number of central apartments. The traditional white walls, tiled steps and other features gives this resort a really traditional Spanish feel unlike many other coastal apartments in the region.

Reviewed By Phil EA very friendly hotel, with excellent restaurant and good facilities including a beach within a 100 metres. Conveniently placed for day trips. easy access to boardwalk which stretches for kilometres along the beach / coast line.

Cleaning staff puts you to do their job
Reviewed By jassuk22We arrived on Thursday morning and read that the cleaning staff will arrive on your fourth day to change you sheets and towels. They will not come in if you are there. My husband was wondering if that is only a trick to put you to do their job. And it was. On Sunday morning we opened the door and there was a big plastic bag outside with clean sheets. They do not even knock on the door. They just leave the sheets outside and sneak out.

Superb holiday in an amazing location
Reviewed By med137My wife, myself and my 12 year old daughter stayed at this hotel from 28 May to 4 June on an all inclusive basis (travelled with Jet 2 holidays). It was our 4th attempt at trying to stay here, given the pandemic. We were not disappointed at all and very pleased that we pursued our stay here. We booked a premium room which was on the 6th floor - the views were amazing. The staff were brilliant and were always only too willing to help. I thought the food was excellent, with a good selection of dishes at each meal. The rooms were very nice and quite spacious. La Cala De Mijas is a truly lovely resort, with an array of shops and bars. The beach is fabulous and very clean. We had an excellent holiday and would definitely like to return again next year. Thank you to all the staff for looking after us so well and for your patience with me practicing my Spanish!!

Reviewed By FerrariladIf you want a great simple apartment for a day or a month then you will not go wrong here, it's just great, apt number 5 is a 3 bed unit with separate bathroom, kitchen and lounge, fully furnished and kitted out with everything you might need together with simply stunning views over the village and beyond over the med. The lady who runs it is brilliant, so friendly and welcoming, the whole place is very very clean with your room is made up every day and bedding, towels etc changed too. This is the second time we have used this place and we will definitely use it again, it is just such good value.
