Our guest house " Green palace" is situated near antananarivo airport 10 mn from the airport, calm, clean , secured place, our team speak English fluently, we rent daily, weekly, monthly. Each room has TV, Air condition, private bathroom with hot water, free wifi . Good place for family with kids.

Reviewed By rhinor2015Great location and very helpful staff. However if you are put in the Terrace room expect to hear all the staff shouting to each other, in our case it was the Grounds man standing inside the reception area having a loud discussion with the lady's in the kitchen??

Clean, close by, and easy
Reviewed By caitc_13We stayed here just for one night on the way in from the airport. Airport pickup was easy, and the location (near the airport) was super convenient. The room was spacious and clean with hot water, and the proprietor was very kind. It was New Years Eve and we'd just flown for 30 hours, so we were worried about noisy celebrations keep us awake, but the property was safe and quiet.

HOMELIDAYS is the nearest rooms from the airport international Ivato, 5 minutes by foot but transfer free with booking; a very gentle little guest house with a tranquil shady garden, rooms get great sunlight streaming through the door on balconies; the place has fabulous views especially at sunset; we can serve drink; French or Malagasy meals; tours are also organised; the owner speaks English, German.

Reviewed By GypsyJaxExcellent small, family run B&B - spacious bedroom, wonderful shower with plenty of hot water, lovely view out over the lake and paddy fields and a nice communal living space to chill out in. Rate includes simple breakfast. Owner can arrange airport pickup. Wifi was speedy too.

I have lately been testing out all the hotels with bathtubs because Tana can be freezing in winter and it’s a luxury after a tough safari to soak in a bath. So, this time it was Scaritel. My transfer (booked via the hotel) was at the airport to meet me, which was a good start. The hotel itself is a reasonably new building already a bit dated but the owners and staff look after the place very well. Lobby very clean, very friendly welcome, smiling staff, nice clean and tidy restaurant and very clean loos in the lobby, big screen tv in the common area. I chose a family room so my room had two double beds, spotlessly clean, fresh, bathroom very clean, four towels. Good sleep quality and no noise. Excellent HUGE corner bathtub and plenty of boiling hot water enough to fill it up. The staff were really all very friendly and came and helped me get the TV going, delivered pizza to my room, and took care of my various small requests. Very nice clean breakfast with good coffee and nice fresh juice. I’m very happy with my choice and I’ll stay again. It cost around 150,000 ariary (€37) for the family room, a bottle of water, and breakfast for one.

Minimal accomodation
Reviewed By Tim FThe room was clean and the bed was acceptable, but the mosquito netting was difficult to deploy. The toilet had signs of once having had a seat, but it was gone. The proprietor charged several euros more than booking.com had advertised, but was otherwise friendly enough. Dogs and roosters serenaded through the night (although, to be fair, this was a feature of every place I stayed in Madagascar). It served the purpose of giving me a place to sleep near the airport after a late evening arrival, but minimally so, and knowing what I now know, it would not be my choice in the future.
