A little outdated but great staff and location
Reviewed By Bas_8We stayed in one of the older not yet refurbished rooms and the hotel feels a little outdated. Nonetheless, the staff is very nice and friendly. You can park your car in the underground parking garage for a reduced fee. The walk into the old center is short and the location of the hotel is convenient. They have a pet friendly policy.

Fabulous Stay!
Reviewed By Bill SWe were fortunate to find the Hotel Costabella for 2 nights in June/22. We weren't too sure what we would find when we booked since it is rated a three star hotel. Do not be afraid! This is an excellent place to stay. The hotel is an easy walk to the Old Town. On the way there is a large supermarket a block or two from the hotel. The rooms are immaculate. It is true that the hotel is directly across from a hospital but worry not - we did not hear a thing. There is a pool with a lot of lounges to enjoy a drink and hang out in the sun. Very nice! The breakfast has been the best we've had in our first week in Spain. Delicious and plentiful. Its essentially a buffet with tons of options. Wonderful! There is lots of free parking which is always nice in Spain. Lastly, the staff are fantastic. So helpful. We will definitely return to the Hotel Costabella if we are in Girona again. Awesome!!

Helpful. friendly staff were the highlight
Reviewed By 684timcA taxi brought us from the station right to the door, so we did not have to drag our luggage over cobblestones. Our room was very well-equipped and comfortable, with double glazing. Excellent breakfast in the highly-rated Restaurant Blanc. But the helpful. friendly staff were the highlight all during our 3 day stay.

Reviewed By Matthieu BA very comfortable hotel: spacious rooms, good beds, excellent breakfast, extremely friendly staff! The interior reminds somewhat of the eighties but is very comfortable. It is a little further away from the city center, but is extremely good value. The only minus is the fact that there were only Spanish speaking TV channels available.

Reviewed By Francesca FI cannot imagine something worse! I arrived here yesterday at 11:20 p.m. and told them that unluckily our luggages had been lost by Vueling. I asked them toothpaste and toothbrush and … amazing they had it, but they didn’t have a charger for an iPhone, a plug, a brush … they didn’t know about any place where we could find something to eat (we found a place with tapas open till 2 in Placa Indipendencia). Today I asked them where I could buy a plug they told me the direction but they were not able to print … tonight they told me they have no sparkling water … is this an hotel? Would be better to call it an hostal but one totally inadequate.

Reviewed By noble-tasteLocated a short walk from the very centre of Girona, with restaurants and shops very close by, Hotel Nord 1901 is a beautiful cosy hotel that gives you a comfortable stay at a reasonable price. Room was large, bed very comfortable, bathroom was large with thermostatic shower, bath robes and all that you need. Clean place, good ambiance, well done to those behind this hotel. The only downside was that the toilet seat was broken or not well installed and that the shower mixer is round and can make it tricky to turn round when your hands are wet and soapy. Would stay again here, nice staff, good price, good location.

Great Hotel for Great price

First, the night we came we came at 1am with the receptionist there ready for us to check in We loved the room that night because it was conditioned and not any noice. We awoke the next morning with the receptionist speaking in English recommending the best places to go in Girona. Girona was wonderful if you want to go for a relax in the sun and see the Spanish beauty with many cafes and little shops. For the next few days the hotel recommended the best places near Girona to visit (Banyoles, Tossa de Mar and Cadaqués) the restaurants are great and can and can speak very good English. The only problem I had with the hotel was I couldn’t stay longer, great place with great service and would fully recommend.

good as a night stop over while traveling
Reviewed By Nikola SWe stayed in the IBIS hotel while doing our road trip. It is not that far off the motorway. This was one of few hotels in the city which had actual locked underground parking as our car was fully packed and I wouldn't like to unpack all our possessions to the hotel room. We haven't been able to book the parking but we have been lucky and got the spot for 12 e. The garage is not big so if you need secure parking, I recommend coming not too late as the hotel got busier in later night hours. We have read some reviews that free off-road parking is not secure and that some of the hotel guests experienced window breakage and theft of their possessions. The hotel by itself was average. There is also an IBIS budget hotel in the same areal. It was nice and warm inside. Bed was comfy. They accept dogs. The bathroom doors in the room 124 can't be closed.
