The worst hotel I have ever stayed in
Reviewed By 341jlcThis hotel is by far the worst I have ever stayed in. The prices are absolutely ridiculous and quite sickening - nearly a £1,000 a night! We literally felt robbed after checking in and seeing the state of this place. Please don’t be fooled by the 5 star rating. It is a 2 star at the very best. A hostel room would be nicer. The pillows are lumpy and hard. The duvet is a thin sheet of polyester and the mattress was the most uncomfortable I have ever slept on. They also have bed bugs - my body is covered in bite marks. The white bed linen is covered in old stain marks. The furniture is in a poor condition and it is very cheap looking. The suite floor tiles are all cracked and damaged. There are no showers in most of the rooms and only bath tubs (which they fail to mention on their website). We came back to our unmade and dirty room at 5pm after leaving the ‘clean my room’ sign on the door all day! That was the final straw and we decided to check out after staying for 1 night. We wish we had done our research better as there are some great hotels and air b&b’s in town for a fraction of the price. The only positive is that the staff were friendly but I felt sorry for them working in such a bad environment. I will not return and would not recommend.

I am also not familiar with boutique-like hotels, but I will forever prefer these over "luxury" high end ones! From the moment we arrived at this majestic destination, our first time and our first day visiting the South of France, we were greeted by the more than welcoming and incredible Sarah at the front desk. Not only did she make us feel so welcomed, she was so genuinely kind and throughout the whole stay offered to help us in any way possible, whether that was offering to make us a dinner reservation, call us a cab at any time, helping us with the AC remote that may have needed new batteries, or holding onto a bottle of wine to put out when my friends arrived the week after (who also had an incredible stay). Not only was Sarah amazing, but the entire staff was simply incredible. From the overnight Swedish bartender (I want to say his name was Ben?), who was very friendly and chatted with him for most of the rest of our second evening (not to mention 24/7 BAR SERVICE!), to the lady who ran the most beautiful breakfast spread I had ever seen and enjoyed (was very much worth the $22 euro). My boyfriend ended up picking the one table to sit at that didn't have a tablecloth or table settings - and she immediately ran over to make sure we did. While we were at breakfast, we were asked what room we were staying in and by the time we got back to our room within 20 minutes, it was cleaned up with fresh towels - just incredible. In addition to the stunning views and ambiance of this hotel, your staff truly made the experience that much more enjoyable. From St. Tropez, we ventured on to Nice, Monaco and then Mallorca, Spain. When we arrived back in the US, everyone asked us where our favorite place was and it was a simple answer, St. Tropez - and honestly, because of our hotel experience.

They seemed so glad to accommodate all our requests both promptly and with enthusiasm. Our accommodations were very nice and had all the amenities you could ask for in a nice hotel. While communicating in English was never an issue, I apologize to the staff for subjecting them to my (far) less than perfect French.

Reviewed By HarryadlondonWe have just had a wonderful couple of days at Hotel Les Capucines. We arrived to a warm friendly welcome. We had just parked the car and the owner of the hotel kindly helped us with our bags to reception. Check in was painless and very quick, which was great as my 6 year old twin boys were desperate to get into the beautiful pool. We were shown to our room, which was the 2 bedroom suite. 1 very large twin room with its own TV, then a double bedroom with its own TV. The interiors have been done beautifully, white wash with pastel colours our room was a lovely green pastel. They have some lovely pieces of furniture chairs, wardrobes etc to finish the room a lovely in keeping of the area style. The bathroom had a big powerful shower, with lovely fun green patterned tiles. Double sinks. Again lots of hanging space for your damp swimming costume etc! Power sockets for hairdryers/shaving equipment. The owners of the hotel have thought of everything, lots of plug sockets, lots of cupboard space for clothing and your suitcases. Aircon was powerful and not noisy. Oh I missed we had a huge terrace, with a table for 4, also a sun-bed. The pool area is lovely, lots of sun beds, then a lovely hot tub which my boys loved. The garden is manicured and very nice with lots of sun bed areas, surrounded by stunning mature pine. Both ends of the pool-area/garden you have views of the coastline. Lovely open bar kitchen area serving delicious lunch and breakfast also in the same area. Truly lovely family run hotel, with lovely helpful staff, and great service! Nothing was too much, I had some express washing as we extended our trip they got this done in less than 6 hours (unheard of in small boutique hotels). We will be back very soon, and I just wish we had stayed here for our entire St Tropez trip. This hotel is punching well above it’s 3 star rating, I have stayed in 5 and 4 star hotels in the area which don’t come near to the quality of Hotel Les Capucines! The Lalou-Simpson Family.

It's not walking distance into the main area of St Tropez. Overall it is a nice hotel, slightly over priced for what it is, but I had a nice time staying there.

Reviewed By MaxineS953Not at all comfortable. Beds were horribly hard. Crowded. Kitchen had inadequate equipment. 16 glasses but none of them a wine glass. 16 cups but no mugs No oven. Would have appreciated some cushions on the outdoor chairs and some sun loungers or a parasol.

Reviewed By Vkong13I don’t even know where to start... This place is like heaven and it’s so so beautiful and, tranquil. The service and breakfast are equally impressive. I always prefer quality over quantity and this place really lives up to it. The breakfast served was all organic and the eggs were from the farm itself. We will definitely come back and highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a piece of heaven ?
