Excellent hotel in a great location
Reviewed By joe8667This is a fabulous hotel. Excellently located right in the centre of Figeac, it occupies a beautifully restored historic building. The rooms are great - extremely spacious, well appointed and spotlessly clean. Beds were also super comfortable and, despite its central location, the rooms were also very quiet. Staff were very helpful and made our stay comfortable and seamless, despite the covid measures in place during our visit. Breakfast had an amazing selection of hot and cold foods which was always a nice way to start the day. Being centrally located, local restaurants and the market were all a stone’s throw from the hotel which was great - Figeac is not a big place and is very walkable. The hotel has its own car park located a short walk away, making it the perfect base for exploring this beautiful part of France. Highly recommend.

Reviewed By jefsea2021We stayed in a room with a small balcony over the river. Good parking, nice bar and restaurant. We had dinner in the bar, good food and good service. Well placed to walk in the town. Good sized room with lift.

Independent hotel in a quiet location.
Reviewed By ali3240This is a lovely, independent hotel in a very quiet square just a few blocks from the town centre. We stayed for 3 nights and found it very relaxing, the bedroom and bathroom were a good size and very tastefully decorated and the bed was extremely comfortable. We appreciated the little ‘green’ touches like the natural olive oil based shower gel, the organic cotton sheets and the no plastic ideology. There is a free car park directly in front of the hotel but I’d recommend booking a space in the hotel’s garage which is spacious and easy to access if you don’t want to spend ages driving around looking for a space. The only thing we disliked was the breakfast experience which we found overly formal and a little uncomfortable. You have to ask the host for each individual item even down to a pat of butter or a glass of juice which he then dishes out in very small rations so you feel awkward asking for any more. I would much prefer a buffet system where you can help yourself to as much or as little as you would like.

Weird place to stay: rooms are fine
Reviewed By ekaterinam378We were staying in Figeac for 2 nights and I was looking for the hotel with pricey parking and reasonable pricing. Rooms are clean and have everything you need. We ordered breakfast for one time and it was very poor and no more guests were there, women, who worked at the bar are was totally unfriendly. To get to Figeac it’s possible to order a taxi approx 10-12 eur one way.

First impressions were so wrong!
Reviewed By jandb14The approach to the Manoir through an industrial estate, then a large car park had us worried! We parked under a tree beside the building, walked across a grassy area to meet our hostess. Our room wasn’t quite ready (we were a little early) so we went into Figeac, less than 10mins away, for an hour. On return we were offered a choice of a room with shared bathroom, or one on the upper floor with seperate private facilities and chose that. Walking through the house and up to our room we were amazed by the lovely old wooden floors, beautiful antique carved furniture in every room, including ours, and finally the amazing views from our window over tree tops for mile after mile. The owners, Terry and Ruth only moved into Le Manoir a few months ago. We were lucky in that Ruth was able to offer us an evening meal and we enjoyed sitting with them in the garden, sharing a delicious and simple meal of roast chicken, salads and cheeses and a stunning and delicious dessert - French-style plum tart with plums from the garden! The industrial area the other side of the hill felt a million miles away rather than 600 or so metres. Utter peace and quiet. This is a special place and we booked for another night! We wandered around the surrounding fields the next morning after a simple breakfast of pastries, bread and jam with figs and plums from the garden. In the grounds is a small derelict chateau, originally the chapel to the Manoir, a small pond with many dragonflies nearby. Walking across the grass back towards the Manoir with its lovely tower I felt an extraordinary peace come over me, as if all stresses and strains had suddenly been lifted away, quite an emotional experience and hard to describe, and my husband later described a similar feeling............. Terry and Ruth have plans to tame the grassland somewhat and possibly introduce some livestock. And some internal repairs to this large building are already under way. We hope in a way that they don’t make too many changes, their place is very special as it is. It would be lovely to return in a couple of years to see how they are doing.........

Reviewed By lpennin104Arriving via the Camino de Santiago, this hotel is on the outskirts of Figeac. It has a very dreary exterior. We were put in an annex. I think the interior of our room was newly renovated but it was lacking in ambiance. The bed was hard which I like but with only a roll for a pillow. The toilet had a strange attachment to the seat and came off three times during our stay. The shower is one of those flush with the floor. There was a great selection for breakfast this being France with more than just bread. The main building where we had breakfast looked old and with two couches with crisscrossed police tape across them and a pile of junk. I guess this is a good place for the budget conscience but the word “dump” comes to mind.

Belle maison bourgeoise du XIX ème siècle,située sur la rive gauche du Célé, à proximité immédiate des courts de tennis communaux et à une "enjambée" du Célé du centre ville ( passerelle piétonne à 100 m), avec son jardin arboré, ses arbres centenaires.Nous vous y accueillerons et vous proposerons une de nos trois chambres ( deux doubles, une familiale,et notre studio familial ( 5 couchages), au décors raffiné et sobre.La piscine ( 11 m x 5,5m) vous attend dans cette oasis de verdure en pleine ville.
A very pleasant hotel!
Reviewed By Arto ORooms were clean and decor had lots of character, both in the rooms and in the hotel in general. The host was very friendly and the athmosphere was welcoming. Garden and the pool area was a real treat. A great place to hang, have a picnic and just relax. The breakfast serving was great, although the selection was kind of limited: coffee, juice, croissants, bread and jams. All the basics were there, but could have had some charcuterie and cheeses to make it feel luxorious. Also the coffee was quite thin. I'm used to a much stronger brew. Hotel was easy to reach even with a big car. Walking distance to Figeac historic center was short and the town itself was interesting. The rooms are quite different compared to each other, for instance some had a bathtub where some have only a shower installed into an old cabinet, with no door to the bedroom. Hopefully the moisture wont affect the bedroom negatively in a long run. A strong four star performance, with only some small details chipping away the fifth star :)

Close to town
Reviewed By NorthfleetSueSimple small hotel close to town centre. Lucky enough to have a room at the rear, so very quiet. Comfy and warm, staff very pleasant. Breakfast very basic, but plentiful. Only a couple of small issues, they have a bar, but we couldn't get a cup of coffee as it never seemed to be open! Also, sadly, there is no parking, so you have to be lucky enough to get a space on the road opposite.
