Awesome hotel for wedding reception and out-of-town guests
Reviewed By stansbecMy wife and I recently had our wedding ceremony and reception at this hotel and everything was perfect! The event planner, Dawn, was very professional and helpful. She guided us through the process for selecting the best banquet room for our number of guests and configuring the room for the wedding ceremony and reception. She also gave us excellent advice on options for table center pieces and other items related to room set-up, table linen colors, food choices, and places to rent specialty items. The event staff was top notch and very customer service focused, so the execution of the event was flawless. The event Team Lead Manager, Steve, was exceptional and ensured everything ran smoothly. It really could not have been any better. I highly recommend this hotel for hosting events. Also, my wife and I spent the night at the hotel, and several out of town guests also stayed in the hotel, and we were all very happy with the quality and cleanliness of the rooms. Several out of town guests brought their family pets and they were very happy this Holiday Inn is pet friendly. I highly recommend this hotel for special events and also for when you just need a hotel room. The staff is professional, friendly, and customer focused and clearly focused on exceeding customer requirements.

Rude Staff and Dirty Rooms
Reviewed By 761samI was disrespected by the staff - their names were Sachin Sena and Vamshi. When they felt the need to speak behind my back, they spoke to one another in a different language. When they spoke to me in English, they were rude and dismissive. My card was swiped multiple times showing a pending fee of over $600. I paid online so the room was paid for before I arrived to Dayton. I was then told by the staff that my card declined and I was not allowed check-in because I could not afford the room. I called my credit card company to confirm and was told one charge was approved. I was then asked by the staff to provide another card for a deposit of $100. Once I finally received a room key, the room was dirty. The remote was completely covered in black dirt when I cleaned it with a wipe. I was told at checkout that a manager would call me because I wanted a full refund of $205 due to the terrible experience I received while staying at this location. As of Monday, June 6, no one has called me. I will never stay here again. As a Wyndham owner, I am highly upset. I only use Wyndham and they have failed me in this situation.

Ken the manager is amazing and so helpful and caring!!! Room are always refreshed and comfortable and we never have a problem with our 25 plus rooms we always get! It’s one item I always know I’ll not have to worry about!! Close to Everything, quiet and clean. Coming from Florida, this is where we will always stay on our group trip from UCF!!! Pegasus Winterguard loves you Redroof Fairborn!!!

Reviewed By Matthew CI'm a big fan of Hilton and stay at them pretty often compared to other hotel chains. This was my first time in a Tru and I was different than the Hilton I've come to expect. It had a hipster theme to it. Nothing wrong with that per se - just different. It all didn't have many membership benefits - which is one of the reasons I choose Hilton to begin with. Breakfast was mostly processed foods - waffles, pancakes, cereals, etc. To their credit, they usually had a meat, fruit, and eggs, but the real-non processed-food selection was limited to just that. Left much to be desired on that front. Staff was friendly, room was clean, most of the basics were covered.

Reviewed By SauderfamWe usually seek out Hampton Inn, as we did for this stay. Big Mistake. Hotel was not in line with Hampton Standards. Dirty. Mildew all over bathroom walls, hair in shower, cobwebs. No maid service. Asked for clean towels, were told after 1 am!??? Breakfast was thin, attendant would put out 2 muffins at a time and area was dirty. Rooms INCREDIBLY small...bathroom door hit the toilet seat. Parking a disaster as lot is shared with Clarion Hotel, not enough spots, parts were flooded and lights burnt out. We claimed the Diamond member spot as it was the only one available. We felt like this hampton was about to go under and we were on the sinking ship. We can say that as we've stayed at Hamptons across the country....And this was not at all what the brand represents.

I had a reservation it was paid for and since they are untrained I was charges 2 times for the room you have to wait for a manager to come the next day

Reviewed By jth3309After reading the other reviews I agree with them. I gave the hotel an average rating because it could been worse. The first floor is being remodeled and other parts of the building need attention. The room was okay and the bathroom was good. Even with the breakfast area not being complete they could have provided coffee and juice somewhere. The only coffee was the instant in the room. They offered a grab and go breakfast. We stayed there because it seemed to be close to the Air Force museum. Would reconsider that.

Don't stay here
Reviewed By DaisybrazI made reservations here using my points plus Dollars. When checking in, they had a new employee who didn't know what he was doing and refused check in. Had to put reservations on credit card, so I paid for the same room with points and full price. Sure new employees make mistakes, but it took 3 hours on the phone to work it out even though they saw I paid twice for the same room. Find something else to stay unless you want crappy customer service.
