Reviewed By JamRes4Hotel room was filthy and infested with spiders. We were charged entirely too much per night. We would have been better off staying in Philadelphia and making the drive to our event that Saturday morning. We never dart the doors of this hotel again.

Good hotel not too far from Philly on the way back west
Reviewed By MichaelS848484Our stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Exton was good (but not great). The front desk staff is friendly & accommodating, but there was rarely someone AT the desk; they were always in the back, & there was not a bell to ring for attention. So guests stand there awkwardly, trying to make noise (clearing your throat, etc.), hoping someone will hear & come out. The hotel is laid out a bit strangely. The entrance & lobby are at one far end of the building (instead of the middle). As such, the walk to the room can be far from the elevator If someone in your party has limited mobility, be sure to ask for a room close to the elevator. The breakfast was typical for HIE. They had the hot foods (pre-made omelets, sausage oatmeal) & continental items (muffins, bagels). They also had the signature HIE cinnamon rolls. The layout of the breakfast area is also a bit odd. There is a room for the staff between the dining area & the area with the food, so you have to walk through a wide hallway to get back to the food. It’s not a big problem, but just a strange design choice. The room was fine. The 4 pillows on the bed gave good choices of thickness/firmness so you have what you like. The curtains let in a bit more light than I typically like (they are blinds instead of curtains, & light gets around the sides). The one complaint I have about the room is that the cold water in our room (435) came out very warm. I wonder if this is true of other rooms as well. I also saw some small ants in the bathroom (some dead, but at least one still moving). Overall, I wouldn’t avoid staying here, but I wouldn’t rush back, either.

Reviewed By Seadog64Clean room, comfortable bed. No Vent Fan in the Bathroom so the mirror gets fogged up. Important... found only one USB charger (on the back side of the TV) No pens or pencils in the room Plus nothing to write on. Breakfast was $15 NOT Complimentary. Coffee was weak.

Reviewed By deetalley2001I came last weekend with my family to celebrate me and my brother's college graduation. It was my first time there and it definitely won't be my last! My drinks hit the spot (I had a lemon drop and then a blueberry cosmo). Those popovers are addictive; with the butter and lemon curd they are fabulous! My first course was the escargots, and it was so delicious I practically inhaled them. As my entree I had the duck, which was simply wonderful. For dessert I had the chocolate peanut butter lava cake, and the way I'd describe that would be chocolate peanut butter heaven- as I write this I can practically taste it in my mouth again. Our waitress, Amy, was one of if not the best waitresses who has ever served me. She was SO enthusiastic-- we were there for more than 3 hours and she did not once lose an ounce of steam- she should be serving on a luxury cruise ship instead. Our bill ended up coming to half a grand (including the tip), but the money was so worth it and I can see I chose my grad celebration spot well! Keep in mind, I graduated from pastry school, so my testimony is (hopefully) saying something! Well done DK!

DO NOT STAY AT THIS DIRTY, PATHETIC ATROCITY
Reviewed By shannonsP9019XZMy family & I stayed at this location in June of 2021, and it was appalling how disgraceful it became since then. Upon entry, our room had not been cleaned. The responding employee treated the situation as if it was FUNNY. She brought US a vacuum, cleaning supplies and all of the items typically restocked in hotel rooms. We always sanitize rooms ourselves upon arrival in this day in age, but the things we found in this room would make you sick: just a few examples include: molded bread AND an apple under the ac/heat unit, random pills/used condoms under the tv stand, goldfish/toys/gum/candy under the couch, used qtips & hair in the tub…ick. Beyond that, the remote was broken, the WiFi didn’t work and the room (ntm hallways) smelled of either weed, urine or dead animals. The general manager is NEVER anywhere to be found. The front desk people, and who can blame them, have NO idea how to use their system. They cannot even generate a simple invoice. Our bank transactions did not match the rates we were told we’d be charged. The pool has not worked in over a year. The washers and dryers were broken, not only to the guests but also in the WHOLE hotel, resulting in them not being able to provide clean towels or sheets. It is simply despicable and downright sad—this property used to thrive, years ago. Now it just exemplifies poor management, lack of quality and a serious cry for help. We saw a number of high school teenagers staying there; in fact, I saw one of them being dropped off by his mother. Parents, do NOT let your children stay there! ANYONE, STEER CLEAR! The only redeeming quality on this property is that many local community resources volunteer to help struggling families who have no other alternative. To them, we thank you for all that you do. Many individuals/families are bettering themselves because of you. God Bless.

Unbelievably Terrible
Reviewed By bendP872EOI will keep this short as it will only take you a few seconds to understand my rating if/when you see this property in person. This hotel is an absolute mess. It is literally falling apart. The exterior is completely unkempt. There are birds nesting in the soffit and ceiling of one of the conference rooms. The parking lot is treacherous. The landscaping is overgrown with weeds. The pool is empty and looks as if the area was abandoned years ago. Mismanaged is an understatement. The GM only has his "apologies" when there is a complaint, but there are no resolutions. The place is a dump. There are many other options in the area. Stay away from this place.

Reviewed By formerslpI was staying with family for a wedding celebration for the weekend. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful in recommending local restaurants. Our rooms were spacious and immaculately clean. The beds were very comfortable. Room design was somewhat Japanese in style. Breakfast was buffet style and included in the room rate. We played cards in the comfortable dining area. My aunt and uncle stayed in a handicapped suite and were very impressed with the spaciousness of the rooms and the wheelchair accessible shower. Their room even had a signal system for the hearing impaired. Also noted that rooms were well soundproofed as we were unable to hear anyone in the hallway or traffic outside.

Reviewed By terb23This is a Marriot property? the wow - underwhelmed impression...from the TV that didn't work, stuck on the annoying Marriot channel, to the ONE clothes hanger that was broken, to the now 'embedded' soaps hung on the side of the shower to the breakfast that was a cold display of high carb and low value foods complete with coffee and tea with no available option for real milk or cream, just the nasty little plastic chemical ones...If this is what you are looking for in a room - well then this is your place. Oh yeah and the price, $169 a night, after being fully loaded with fees and taxes comes out around $269 a night. unwelcome surprise.
