Superb hotel on quiet location with very friendly staff and a excellent restaurant.
Reviewed By Willem BWe asked for a quiet room and this request was fully met. We received a room at the end of a ground floor corridor, where no other guests would pass. Between the door to the corridor and the bedroom is a hall with bathroom and WC, so there are two doors between the bedroom and the corridor of the hotel. The air condition worked well and was easy to control. We switched it off, since the room had shutters outside the window, so we could keep the window open. Even with open window, there was little noise from outside. A good thing is the WC, separated from the bathroom. We had a great dinner for 22 euro pp. The chef has talent if he is able to serve such a tasty and well presented three courses dinner for that price. No wonder that most guests decided to have dinner in the hotel! We did not use the Spa and other facilities in the hotel. The batteries of the remote control for the TV were corroded. After mentioning it to the reception they were replaced. The location of the hotel is ideal for travellers, close to the highway. If you want to see the centre of Épinal, however, you will need to drive. The hotel is located in an industrial (economic) zone, but it's still possible to have a nice walk in the environment. Opposite the hotel is an ALDI for all your groceries (or a half bottle of wine) and in 3 minutes walk your reach a nice bakery where you can have breakfast with a croissant and coffee or tea (If you are not in for an extensive buffet).

Reviewed By ee555Worst hotel ever!!! Maximum 2 stars It’s even to late to renovate, thé really should rebuild it from the first stone. I took a few photos and don’t want to spend time to give some comments, just look the photos. Eva the receptioniste was very friendly and helpful.

Reviewed By Alain RNous avons passé un excellent séjour chez Cindy et Jérôme. Tout était parfait de l’accueil a la chambre décorée avec beaucoup de goût et des matériaux de qualités. Le petit déjeuner est diversifié et copieux, de quoi se faire plaisir dès le matin. La table d’hôte est conviviale, nous avons été reçu comme on reçoit les amis. Un très bon moment passé en très bonne compagnie. Une belle adresse à retenir. Je recommande et nous y retournerons avec grand plaisir.

Reviewed By Paul HWe have stayed in this Campanile over the last twenty years and have steadily seen it deteriorate over that time. This trip after a long drive from Calais to Epinal we found out only a poor buffet dinner and I mean poor, second rate rooms and big price increases.... 17E for a bottle of crap Chardonnay!!!! So we went to Burger King!! The good side is we won't stay in it again.

Reviewed By jollygeorgeA room for two plus a breakfast for one, € 41 ! I got it via Booking.com. I thought, what the heck, give it a go! How bad can it be? What is 'bad'? I can do 'Basic' but this barely reached subsistence level, to use an anthropological term. The bed-linen was clean, the mattress good, there was peace and quiet at night. The staff were friendly, the breakfast excellent value at 5 euros. However, so many small niggles force me to rate it 'poor'. If I tell you that in the publicity literature the features listed for the rooms included 'toilet paper' and 'a rubbish bin', you may get the picture. I didn't dare use the shower. The soap/shampoo dispenser had a full bag of goo but refused to dispense me any. but the big turn-off was the absence of a bath-mat which I knew would mean a flooded bathroom floor and possibly the floor of the bedroom itself. The bathroom door had obviously suffered a lot of wetness at the bottom and the plywood face was peeling away from the interior. There was nowhere to put anything down, not enough power-points, no carpet, no refinements at all. We were offered a 15% discount for a meal at the Campanile restaurant opposite which we didn't take up. The menu card in our room had the same photo of the same creepy chef figure as we had seen at the Metz Campanile. The wi-fi was not advertised in the room. I asked the reception chap about it and his instructions to access it were of such Byzantine complication that I dismissed the idea. Having the stairs outside and the room doors opening on to long outside passageways, the hotel put me in mind of the old Peabody Buildings in the east end of London or the Glasgow Gorbals. The stairs were rough, nasty concrete. Still, you pays yer money and... etc. I stayed several times in the Seamen's Mission in Bremen, Germany, which had a similar feel, clean but ultra-basic. You get what you pay for. I didn't pay much and I got accordingly little.

Reviewed By Emma CMy husband, son and I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. My husband and I had our own room due to our son being in his 20s. We found the staff very friendly and friendly and both rooms very clean. Arrived to fresh towels on the bed and given fresh towels on our second day. Breakfast excellent for the price croissants , cereal, breads, jams nice yoghurt and excellent coffee. Nice restaurants near by. Lovely location. Would definitely recommend.

A very comfortable place to stay in the heart of Epinal

Our room which faced onto a square was surprisingly large, very clean, modern, comfortable and quiet. The gentleman on the desk was very helpful regarding suggestions for places to dine, have a drink, visit etc. Breakfast was fresh fruit, cereal, croissants/baguettes, yoghurt, cheese and ham, juice and coffee. We paid E72.54 for a double room and 2 breakfasts, which we thought was good value.
