Reviewed By 486laiadWe came with my family of 6 (all adults) and everything was perfect, from the welcoming to the accommodation to breakfast. We stayed only one night but it was definitely worth it. The owner was extremely attentive, the accommodation impecable and the breakfast filled with delicious ingredients. There was also a swimming pool thata we didn't get to use, but it was very clean. If you are looking for a place to stay, this is the place! Vam anar amb la meva familia de 6 (tots adults) i tot va ser perfecte. Des de la benvinguda, l'apartament fins a l'esmorzar. Vam quedar-nos només una not però va ser fantàstic. La propietària va ser molt atenta, l'apartament impecable i l'esmorzar ple d'ingredients deliciosos. També hi havia una piacina que no vam utilitzar però estava molt neta. Si estàs buscant un lloc on dormir, aquest és el lloc!

Horrible experience
Reviewed By Wayne TWe arrived at the hotel and had to wait nearly an hour to check in. When we commented on the issue the owner made no apologies and decided to argue and in the end refused to allow us to stay, so we had to look for another hotel at the last minute. NEVER STAY HERE!

Phenomenal place!
Reviewed By travelingCAgalOur daughter was getting married at a castle nearby so our family & wedding party & several guests stayed here for four nights. The architecture and design of the hotel is very beautiful & gorgeous. The rooms are modern & unique; each room is different. In our room (#6) the stone work in the bathroom made it appear natural and rustic and the hidden lighting in the corners of the shower resembled sunlight pouring into the shower at sunrise. A door which swung both directions from the bathroom to bedroom looked like a marble monolith. We had a little patio that got sunshine in the late morning. We enjoyed sitting outside & drinking our coffee there. There is a lovely garden in back of the hotel with string lights and a bar where guests can sit & relax. Our morning breakfast was prepared by a chef who was courteous & attentive and served the typical Spanish fare of cold cuts, cheeses, croissants, breads, fruit, juices, coffee, etc. He also was the bartender at the outdoor bar in the evenings. There is a rooftop deck and pool with lovely views of the town. The hotel reception staff (Oleguer & Anna) were friendly and gracious hosts who were helpful with check in, activities & securing taxis, etc. They exuded the warmth of a bed and breakfast establishment. We also greatly appreciated the use of the professional grade steamer provided by the hotel which we used for the bridal gown & wedding party’s dresses & suits! After spending four days here it was very hard to leave. We absolutely LOVED staying here. We will always be grateful for Palau Macelli for making our family wedding experience and our stay so very memorable.

Reviewed By Trevor55mHave to review this campsite again. After the campsite re openend after the covid 19 crisis, the campsite is totaly well maintained and clean. The sanitary facilities are meticulously cleaned all day long, the staff are working extra hard in the heat, wearing face masks all day and as normall with a smile. I felt l had to praise all the staff as they are working extra hard in these present times. Thank you all, see you September, restrictions permitting. P.S. l have no connection with the campsite other than a satisfied client.

Fabulous building in a quiet small town in the Costa Brava
Reviewed By HallinanWe (family of 4 - children aged 7 and 9) stayed here for 3 nights in August 2019. We stayed in a Junior Suite Deluxe. The hotel is located in a small town called Castello d'Empuries. It is about a 10 minute drive to the beaches on the Bay of Roses in the Costa Brava. The beaches are fantastic although quite busy and it can be hard to find parking close to the beaches. The staff in the hotel are very welcoming and attentive. Our room was very big and very comfortable for the 4 of us. The building interior is beautiful. The bathroom was very big. The outdoor pool is small but the hotel is also small with only about 10 rooms so the pool lies empty almost all the time. The breakfast consisted of a lot of fresh fruit and pastries, and was thoroughly enjoyed by the 4 of us. The one change I would make is to separate the 2 double beds in the room we had. The town of Castello d'Empuries is worth exploring. There are nice restaurants scattered around the town and interesting historical plaques next to some of the local sights.

A large one and a small one for children, ideal for their games and activities. There is also a Jacuzzi to relax in. The swimming pools are surrounded by an extensive grass area, with palm and pine trees that offer pleasant shade. Our entertainers offer all-day activities for adults and children. The adults can participate in different sports activities and enjoy dance sessions with live music or shows during the night. For the kids there's a mini-disco. Children are welcome to participate in the mini-club, in the craftworks and sports activities and in any other organized recreational activities. Animation is our specialty!

Reviewed By 790pepsisWe wanted peacefull holidays in Catalunya, but what we found? In this camp-site, just beside the Natural parc of Aiguamolls, they organize a 3 days party for teenagers. This must be banned in this special area! And just now is nesting time for lots of birds...

Reviewed By Arty26Everything was run efficiently during our one night stay. 2 tips: The manager could give some recommendations for evening meals when the restaurant is shut, with a map. Some earplugs will help guests avoid the tolling church bells all night. Why do churches do that?

Due to its excellent location the hotel is the perfect getaway for the whole country to know about. Hotel rooms are bright and comfortable Emporium. All rooms have wireless Internet and satellite TV. The hotel also has a cozy room and a fully equipped cafeteria where drinks and snacks throughout the day. Be recommend trying the tapas menu!
Terrible service in the restaurant
Reviewed By AndersonQuadrosThe service is nice at the hotel, but the people at the restaurant is very, very rude and slow. Terrible service! If you stay in the hotel, walk a block or two to have your meals and drinks elsewhere.
