Reviewed By Elizabeth RVery pleasant well appointed room. Very comfortable queen bed. Very friendly staff at reception and in the restaurant. The total area was Secure including parking at night. The buffet dinner was excellent value. There was another menu if you did not choose to have the buffet.

Really surprised
Reviewed By 49difWe have not stayed here for a couple of years and in my last post I wasn't happy, but we decided to try again that was for two reasons, price fantastic compared to other parks the second was position, perfect if heading up north, we stayed 2 nights with absolutely nothing to complain about, Capricorn is very clean,quiet and safe I have no hesitation in recommending this caravan park and will return again.

Does everything you need for an overnight stay
Reviewed By limeclawDated but very clean and functional. The rooms are large, well appointed, beds are comfortable with clean linens. Good working air conditioners and nice television set. The bathrooms are dated but very clean with good water pressure and separate toilet. The service is friendly and efficient. There is plenty of on site parking. Guest laundry and pool. Walking distance to the foreshore and town centre. Good value continental breakfast included in the accommodation price. Ticks all the boxes for good value accommodation.

Avoid if you want a pleasant experience
Reviewed By SammieInitWe stayed here for one night. We had originally planned on another site but due to our friends booking here we decided to book here too. We were considerably late due to unforseen circumstances (vehicle engine problems) on the way. Unfortunatly due to lack of phone service we could not ring and advise them of this. After a stressful journey here when we finally arrived happy to get some sleep we were met by an extremely rude small blonde woman who proceeded to give out to us for arriving so late, that she had to stay up and couldnt go to bed(didnt even ask why, also dont see why when it was paid and all we needed was to pull in and hook up, no help from her) , attitude from her about how 'the deal was one camper not two'. Two were booked and payed for under seperate bookings (which she didnt even enquire about before giving bad attitude). Once she had done her giving out to our tired and stressed group she swanned off without another word. We slept till the morning, used the shower facilties( not the cleanest), packed up and left not before receiving dirty looks from this female again as we pulled out. I would not recommend this place and would not stay here again as it really took some enjoyment from our trip.

We have a Beer Garden with a Wood Fire Pizza Oven and can also cater for your next function. The Front Bar Just the spot to enjoy an ice cold beer. With a big screen to catch all the latest in sport. With the friendly service and great atmosphere we guarantee you’ll be back time and time again!

Reviewed By S9710QWandrewhThis has got to be the most disgusting slum in Carnarvon. It was that bad I seen hordes of rats leaving the room as it was too dirty for them. The service was awful, the bedding looked like it hadn't been washed properly. The pillows were yellow and filthy and the bathroom had definitely not been cleaned prior to us getting there (take a look at my photos). Defo will not be anywhere near this hole every again. This place needs to be closed down now.

Quiet and comfortable
Reviewed By mazhadWe stayed just for one night . We were very happy with the facilities which are spacious, clean and comfortable. Nice to have a kitchen area. Maybe do something about the shower curtain which tended to blow onto you while having a shower. We had a very pleasant eat in meal while watching the State of Origin rugby league match.

Fine for a stopover
Reviewed By SoretoesWe stayed in a unit as a stopover on our way north. Contactless checkin worked seamlessly. Rooms are fine for an overnight stay they had everything we needed and the camp kitchen is close by. Linen and towels are well worn but this didn’t bother us.

Old school grassy sites with shade plus great staff
Reviewed By DadandCabDidn’t have a booking but reception were able to accommodate our three night stay. Check-in was straightforward, the site assigned was good (we’re tenters) & amenities were very clean and though not totally modern, were renovated. A couple of nights the recreation room was opened with a big screen TV to show live AFL games which was well attended. Camp kitchen was a slight weak point being small compared to other sites of this size with few facilities and a small fridge freezer for the size of the site. Possibly a reflection of the number of caravans? All in all though a good stay apart from having one really noisy neighbour, a family, all seeming to need to shout to each other even though only a few feet apart. Not the campgrounds’ fault, but why do some people at campgrounds think they’re surrounded by brick walls when under their caravan awning?

We can cater for long or short term stays, business or pleasure. We have a great discount on 'ROOM & MEAL DEAL' for workers that makes accounting easy and your staff happy. Our restaurant is open 365 days of the year for breakfast and dinner. The smorgasbord has a different theme each night and includes soup, entre, mains & dessert. Large bookings can request early breakfast. All rooms are air-conditioned with en-suite and forty rooms have basic cooking facilities and a full-size fridge. There are also ten 2 bedroom apartments that have a large kitchen, dining and lounge area and sleep up to 6 people. Parking is our biggest advantage, we have plenty of room for trucks, buses, boats and trailers. We have a disabled room, excellent wheelchair access, 2 pet-friendly rooms, swimming pool, 2 guest laundries & free wi-fi.
Unsafe with poor customer service
Reviewed By ToscanicOne of the worst places I’ve ever stayed. I had an electrical shock from the hot water tap in the shower, there was no hot water and the toilet didn’t flush. Other than that the room was generally dirty and poorly kept. On raising it with the owner in the morning, he raised his voice in response and seemingly tried to make it all my fault! Incredible. The chef on the other hand, was conversant with coeliac dietary needs and was able to provide a well cooked steak and pepper sauce.
