Lost vest

On our last evening at the restaurant I left a small armless west hanging on my chair. Before our departure the following morning I did not notice the loss. The staff of the restaurant could have contacted as by our table reservation, but they did not even try. Two days later we phoned and the hotel told us they had found my vest and would send it via a transport company, which would send us an estimate of the transport costs. After a few days I received this estimate, but when I called them they told me, that they could not pick up my vest at the hotel because there it got lost again. When I called the hotel, they confirmed this. After another week the reception called again said they had no success with my vest. They offered me a voucher, which I declined. Never in my life will I visit this hotel once more, because the only explanation for the loss of my vest is that somebody stole it.

Reviewed By RproliveiraThe hotel has been renovated with style. Very good breakfast with a lot of choices and all of very good quality. All staff very friendly and helpful in all our requests. The room was big and especially the mattress was really comfortable. Prime location with a great view right in front of the beach.

The price is very keen and so we were aware that we were not checking into the Ritz but altogether would have no problem recommending this place because of its charming staff.

It now boasts three stars instead of two and does offer mini-fridge and electric kettle in the rooms. The restaurant and its chef are a big plus: healthy well-prepared meals, prettily served, and generous portions, too! Admittedly the rooms are small, but you will be just one short block from the beach in a setting that is clean and well-maintained. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Another big plus: the air conditioner in our room functioned perfectly and was astonishingly quiet. So overall 5 stars and three cheers for good food, high level of maintenance, and prime location.

A comfortable room with a bed 160/200, air conditioning, free and unlimited Wifi connection, flat screen TV, small fridge, safe, private bathroom with walk-in shower, hairdryer and courtesy products. A heated swimming pool, next to which you can have lunch thanks to our free buffet. Bread and pastries are cooked on site.

Poor performance
Reviewed By Scenic39361393628The situation at breakfast was awful. There was no cutlery, no crockery, no juice glasses. Food items missing and generally an experience which was not acceptable. The staff were not fit for purpose and seemed incapable of dealing with the numbers present. The manager and receptionist were impolite, when I complained about the coffee I was served in the bar and on departure tried to charge me double for 2 coffees. There is a pleasant pool but no pool loungers. There was evidence of enforcing Covid 19 protocols.

Perfect location
Reviewed By lillisan115We were a group of 56 people in 28 vintage cars. We stayed 5 nights and had breakfast and dinner there every day. The personel went out of their way to serve us, with big smiles. They were there early morning till late night and always friendly - cannot praise them enough. The dinners were delicious and varied every day. The only fly in the ointment: the breakfast buffet is really not good enough; only baguette, no toasted bread or bichottes, fruit salad out of a tin etc etc - it wouldn’t take much to upgrade this !

Reviewed By DazzrWe have stayed many nights at this brilliant hotel, both in winter and summer time. The rooms are very nice and comfortable. Canal + and bien sports. The food is superb and the buffet is always has a large selection. The swimming pool is amazing and just want you need on those hot summer days. All the staff are fantastic especially Ingrid and channon, they always had a beer ready for us ? The hotel owner Georgie treated us like family and made us feel very welcome. If you are in the area stay here you won’t be disappointed.

Long weekend bank holiday
Reviewed By BrentwoodDanny1We had turned up without a reservation and were offered 3 different priced rooms to choose from and at competitive rates as on the internet. We chose a sea front room with balcony with B&B not bad for a 3* hotel, have stayed in worse 4* hotels and paid more. Staff were all helpful and spoke English and could not fault the room and the service was excellent the hotel is opposite the beach. All the cafes,bars and restaurants just outside by the front door and a carrefour supermarket just few minutes away. If returned yes we would stay here again.
