The position is magnificient: directly on the Lago Maggiore whose powerful wash of the waves untrained ears might mistake for the rush of the sea. And the absolutely clear and clean water makes bathing a temptation hard to resist. The terraced palm grove sloping down to the lake is one of the most beautiful of the whole "Verbano". The house is personally run by the owner. Breakfast is served at the table, in fine weather, on the beautiful terrace overlooking the lake.Room have private toilet, shower, radio and telephone. Television is in the living room. Free of charge WI-Fi is available in the entire hotel. Meadows for sunbathing.

Reviewed By Scenic510049Beautiful view at Lago Maggiore, unique garden above the lake, excellent breakfast served with soul...This is Rivabella, real paradise where you feel relaxed and friendly treated. You can swim in the morning and drink wine at the terrace in the evening. I and my wife come here every year with great pleasure. And feel like at home. Thanks to Quaglia family, the owners of the hotel since 19th century!

This was the 2nd time we spent our Ticino-part from a trip through Switzerland and Italy with them, and it was excellent. Location, views, hospitality, breakfast, access and cleanliness of the hotel and staff is spot-on! You can't do any better in the 3-Star price range in Ticino. We definitely will go back.

Unfriendly staff, small room, unacceptable to not have an en-suite
Reviewed By zia932017We had upgraded to an en-suite room online, the owner told us that she hadn't received that from booking.com, although we had an email confirmation. She was very unhelpful and unprofessional. She made no effort to help us out in any way. We ended up going to another hotel where the staff went out of their way to help us. The room was small and not up to standard, the location was hard to find, I would not recommend it to anyone who's looking for a nice friendly place to stay.

Reviewed By geertb423We stayed 1 night in room "giardino" and were very satisfied with: view, bed, shower, garden, breakfast. Solomon did everything to make us feel welcome and to take care of our wishes. The only disadvantage may be that the center of town and the lake are rather difficult to reach on foot. Solomon does not prepare lunch or dinner, but he provides alternative suggestions. Recommended

Really nice hotel
Reviewed By BilncrsOnly stayed the one night, but saw enough to warrant an excellent score. We had a balcony room overlooking the beautiful Lake Maggiore. The room itself was spotless, with a neutical theme. Breakfast was had on the terrace, with an excellent choice of food. We were given free bus tickets by the hotel to get to Ascona for the Jazz festival. On our return, we opted to get a taxi instead. Big mistake! CHF50 for the 10 minute journey!!

During booking I had a bit strange feeling that I have to pay 5 CHF for slippers and bathrobe. They also sell swiss brand amenities for a little price of 16 CHF, parking fee 12 CHF a night and kettle costs 10 CHF per day. I felt this is a bad trick of low cost airline but the positive reviews won me over, so I booked the hotel anyway. Now the real experieces: Entrance is nicely decorated and the swing chairs are very comfy, you have to try them! The room is very clean and they do have free organic amenities, the view is stunning! Check-in and Check-out were hassle-free, friendly, professional. Restaurant has nice ambient, quality food at reasonable price. Swimming pool area is good for chill-out, good view with mild cirus fragance of different types of orange trees and other flowers. The water temp is however too cold (23 Celcius). Breakfast was nice as European Standard with Champagne. Lovely garden with mini-golf and comfy sofa. They also have playing room for children. The hotel is up the hill but not so far for a walk to restaurants at the lake side. All in all I highly recommend this hotel. I hope they have an automated coffee/tea/hot water stand like in Japan. It would be just nicer!

We had a very large terrace with a lake view... Thank you very much again :-) Excellent breakfast and romantic atmosphere for dinner at night next to the pool with sometimes live music. They served also very good cocktails. We enjoyed their beautiful outside and indoor pool with sauna and steam bath. We can only recommend this very fine hotel!

Reviewed By CH-LivioOn 02/04/2016 the kindly host Eva give me a warm welcome and a shelter in the Casa Concerto on a e-mail request, although the season was not yet opened! Thank you Eva for your spontaneous and short-term confirmation, only because of that I was able to further plan my trip and attend a blues concert in Brissago! The half-hour walk from the bus station to the top is rewarded with a magnificent view of the lake and soothing peace. Room and bathroom are very clean and the common chat with Eva at the morning meal rounded the whole thing off in addition.
