Reviewed By nhc281Management was not budge or be accommodating to adjust to a group rate since I was there for an organizational event. Stairwell walls were dirty, missing light cap in room hallway, staff was not able to keep up with supply of food in continental breakfast area. Front desk staff, however, was polite and accommodating as they could be. Disappointed with management!

When we stepped out for dinner, Kevin inquired how everything was and when we mentioned the noise of the AC, within just a few minutes of our stepping out we got an update that Kevin found us another room. It included everything we wished for. Kevin checked with us once we relocated our things. We are very grateful for his help and for being a great host.

Reviewed By ITManagerIt's next to a Sonic in a dicey area off the freeway; lots of noise from cars and strange characters all around. And the room was run down; even the toilet seat was losing its paint. But the worst thing: there was a little sign in my room that said, "This Hotel is 100% Smoke Free," and the description on the Yelp page likewise says that the hotel is smokefree, but it's a lie. Starting at about 8 at night, thick, scented smoke started seeping in under the door from the next room. Not only unhealthy but I'm allergic. Called the front desk and they REFUSED TO DO ANYTHING! Cracked a window and it barely helped because there was so much smoke. Tried putting a wet towel underneath that door; barely did anything. Asking Choice Hotels for my money back because they LIED.

Reviewed By Cristi CThe entire hotel reeks of smoke so badly that my clothing smelled like smoke until I washed them at home… and there’s no smoking on or around the premises. There are stains everywhere, including the linens. And the continental breakfast was a joke; 4 packaged pastries on a plate, a cup or two worth of what I think was apple juice, and coffee. I went about 7am too. The coffee wasn’t bad and the room was a good size. You get what you pay for.

Reviewed By leilannybvThe hotel seemed to be in a fairly new area and clean upon arrival. I was traveling alone to Denver and I felt safe the 3 nights I was there. The staff was very friendly and courteous and checkin was quick and easy. The hotel and room were clean, the beds and pillows were very comfortable. I prefer a firmer bed and usually that's not what you get when staying at a hotel, the pillows were plush. Note, I'm 5' 3" so I'm short and I had to jump to get on the bed. I didn't mind, but if my mom was in the room she would have needed something to step on to get on the bed. But did I mention I loved the bed! There was breakfast and the area looked clean and was busy with other guests, but I didn't have breakfast during my stay. I specifically called ahead of time to ensure there was reliable and fast internet in the rooms. Thank goodness, the meeting I had scheduled for Friday afternoon was cancelled, as I may not have been able to get on Zoom. 90% of the time I tried to get online from my laptop, it would connect, but it would just buffer and spin. The same was true on my phone, I ended up just forgetting the network and using my data. Overall, the stay was great, the area had lots of restaurants near by, was close to the city center but far away at night to feel quiet. Also driving distance to Lookout Mountain (about 40 minutes) and about 1.5 hours to Rocky Mountain National Park.

Towards the end of our first two weeks there, when we were about to take over payments from my husbands company, we considered finding a cheaper hotel or extended stay, but decided to stay there because we figured the little extra we were going to pay, would be worth it & it absolutely was. Let me start off by saying you have access to a really nice, full gym, for free.. & 100% free laundry, other than detergent. They sell it there or you can buy your own. They have this amazing “pantry”, big room with two coolers full of a variety of drinks/frozen meals, Shelves full of snacks, coffee, sugar, etc. there’s a patio area in the back with a really nice grill that’s offered to guests. You even get a really decent view of the mountains from the patio, & any room facing that direction. I’m not sure about other rooms, because we had an extended stay room with a full kitchen, minus an oven, but we had a stovetop in the room & access to a toaster oven we could use in our room. We had a dish washer & full set of dishes/silverware/pots & pans. The beds were nice & clean, the room itself was clean. We had the option to have the cleaning staff come in & clean our room for us, but we were there for so long, I kept it clean & just let them come in when they had to. Now, for the staff… they were absolutely AMAZING. Literally, all of them. Steve is the general manager there, he is so kind & understanding of other peoples situations & helped us so many times resolve issues we were having. Linda & Tony have amazing customer service skills. They were always so kind & professional. Always had a smile on their faces & none of them ever made us feel like we were unwelcome or like our kids were too much. All of these people need raises! We will forever be grateful to these people who made us feel welcome coming from almost across the country, to start our lives over. Y’all are truly the best!

Nice, clean place to rest our heads while passing through the area
Reviewed By andiz79Great hotel. Clean. Friendly staff. Hotel is new, or at least newly updated. Rooms are spacious and have everything you’d need including shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. There were four workers at the desk when we checked in. None of them we’re wearing a mask which was kind of surprising seeing as how it says on TripAdvisor that staff wears them, but not a deal breaker for us. Even when we checked out in the morning, the person at the front desk was not wearing one. The only thing that could have made this better would be if they had digital keys. I enjoy when I can check in online before I get to other hotels and can go directly to my room without stopping at the desk. Enjoying this hotel, I would definitely consider looking at Holiday Inn Express again, despite being loyal to other brands in the past.
