10 Top-Rated Hotels in Battle Creek, Calhoun County, Michigan

Known as "Cereal City," Battle Creek, Michigan is home to both the Kellogg and Post corporations. These two companies have left their mark on the city, building both office buildings and local attractions. The Leila Arboretum, part of Battle Creek's 7,000 acres of parkland, was created by the widow of CW Post, founder of Post Cereals. Post himself had been inspired to go into the cereal business after a visit to the now-historic Battle Creek Sanitarium, which was then run by John Kellogg.

Good location off the highway. There are restaurants close by, including the amazing Sweetwater's Mill Donut shop. The front desk staff was friendly and efficient. Extra towels were delivered quickly. We had a standard room with two queen beds. The decor was appealing, the beds were comfortable, and the heating/cooling unit seemed reliable. The shower did have some stained spots in the corners. Mildew? Disappointing. But the water pressure was good. One last thing, we did use the pool. Temp was on the cool side, but it was OK. The teens were satisfied. There was a layer of sand on the bottom which we found really odd, though. Overall, would definitely stay here again.

Breakfast buffet here is actually a breakfast buffet with Sherrie doing an amazing job serving. Eggs Bacon Sausage Biscuits and Gravy. (Served by the amazing Sherrie) Bagels bread English muffins and sweet muffins to toast or take. The waffle machine has cinnamon bun batter that is pretty amazing. Coffee tea juice milk bottled water. Fresh fruit. Not sure what else you can ask for in a few breakfast. The check in and out desk were friendly and efficient. All in all a great stay... and a less than 5 minute drive or free shuttle to the casino. Very impressed!

Terrible Stay - Choose Another Option

As a Hilton Diamond member, who travels throughout the US staying at numerous Hilton hotels, this hotel in Battle Creek is by far the worst accommodations. While it is a newer hotel, only built 2 years ago, it is poorly designed. There are no closets in the entire room, no stands for luggage for the business traveler and, the hotel has well water - so the water is over softened - the water feels like bathing in oil. I had trouble staying one night, suffered through a second night, but left on the morning of the third day. Don’t waste your money - there are better options in the area. Manager (named Dyshe) was of no help.

Avoid this hotel!! Beware ☠️

Reviewed By saragP8353RW

My son and I were in town for a baseball tournament, and reserved a “suite” at this hotel. We arrived late in the evening after a long drive, and went to bed shortly after we arrived. Upon checking in, we waited in line for nearly 30 minutes due to the fact that there was only one person working. The following morning, I woke up and opened a few of the curtains that had been shut when we arrived. I was shocked to see that one of the windows was shattered, and there were shards of glass poking out. We also saw just how dirty the room was in the daylight. Multiple light bulbs were burnt out. Also the main door lock stuck out a bit, so you had to slam it so it would shut. There was a television that didn’t work on one of the bedrooms. Before we left for our game, I again waited in line for 20 minutes. I showed the front desk clerk the photos of the window and the room in general. She said the manager mentioned that the window was “only broken on the outside” and that “lightbulbs are hard to find.” She also asked if we knew how to use the tv remote, and she said the door and window problems we did to the building settling. We checked out of this place, went to a beautiful Four Points hotel in Kalamazoo and tried to forget this nightmare of a hotel. Avoid it like the plague!!
