Misleading communication and then not taking responsibility
Reviewed By 767imrevI'm very disappointed with this hotel. We booked our stay for 26 Dec on 3 Oct already, and it was confirmed by e-mail. The pdf attachment contained the following details explicitly: the room type (Suite Pavillon) and that pets were allowed ("Haustiere/Hunde in den Pavillons erlaubt, CHF 15.00 pro Nacht"). Then we got a call from the hotel on 26 Dec in the morning. Our room got double booked for the first night of our stay, so they wanted to give us another room for the first day. Why did it turn out only on the first day of our stay? The booking was done almost 3 months ago. It also turned out that pets were not allowed, neither in the booked room nor in the offered replacement room. The best they could say was "sorry, we cannot do anything", even when we referred to the fact that it was explicitly written as allowed in their confirmation. The only thing they could offer was to cancel our booking "without any charges". Nice. So we're left with our luggage packed, but without any booking and trying to find something somewhere else on Christmas day...

We are very thankful to the administration and staff of Sorell Hotel Tamina Bad Ragaz for their hospitality, humanity and care in providing us with accommodation with breakfast and parking between the dates of March 19th, 2022 to May 30th, 2022. The room in the hotel was very bright, spacious and comfortable for the stay. We had everything we needed. The food was delicious, with a carefully selected menu full of nutritious dishes. The staff at Sorell Hotel Tamina was very professional friendly and supportive during this difficult time of separation from our motherland, which helped us adjust to the new environment. Wonderful 5 night stay visiting friends over Easter

We were strongly recommended to stay in this hotel whilst visiting friends who live in the beautiful area of Bad Ragaz. This was our first visit to Switzerland and we were really impressed by the courtesy and efficiency of the staff. In no way is this a ‘ stuffy or pretentious ‘ hotel; where else would you experience guests walking around at all hours throughout the hotel in dressing gowns? They were obviously making use of the wonderful spa and medical facilities contained within the grounds. There is too much to list here about the facilities contained within but they are terrific. We had the pleasure of eating at two restaurants; Verve by Sven and Zollstube and both were first class. The atmosphere was relaxed and the staff were very easy to converse with as they knew our friends very well - they are frequent diners in the hotel. Breakfast was a fantastic spread covering everything you could imagine and we were looked after in an excellent manner by Vladya each morning - she always met us with a smile and took time to talk to us when taking us to our table. One point I would like to make is that not one of the staff passed without acknowledging you and this was also true of the the majority of the guests. This is something that many five star hotels lack and can make guests feel uncomfortable. I can honestly say that that this is one of the very few times where I would happily have extended my stay it was that good. We look forward to returning, possibly in the autumn if time allows.

Reviewed By zimmchiroI recently stayed at this new property in tiny but beautiful Bad Ragaz (on the eastern side of Switzerland, very near Austria and the principality of Lichtenstein). The rooms are very comfortable, tastefully furnished and quiet. The owner and housekeeping staff are extremely nice.

Reviewed By Christian WThe price was good. The bedroom was good. We had a room, where we shared the toilet (no problem), but we had our own shower cabin standing in the bedroom. Ask for that. The service was great and friendly. The hotel is situated in a small town close to the Austrian border. There is a super pizzeria in the main street called Pizzeria Trocadero. Both recommended.

Reviewed By julie jWe stayed here for one night. This is an old traditional building and I believe has been a hotel for many years as there were pictures on display in the nearby town. The room was old fashioned in regard to furnishings but was clean and comfortable and met our needs. Parking is available in allocated parking bays further along the street. It is situated in a quiet area just a short walk from the centre. The buffet breakfast available was excellent with a wide array of fresh produce. The hotel does offer evening meals but not every night and none were available on the night we stayed.

Tout est parfait, une machine bien rodée qui nous rend fières des hôtels de luxe dans notre beau pays. Les chambres / suites sont spacieuses et propres, les restaurants excellents, les piscines et autres spa juste parfaits, le personnel impeccable, a l’écoute, souriant et poli. Le seul micro hic - la deco des chambres, rien d’original. Très bon rapport qualité/prix. On a déjà recommandé l’hôtel à des amis et on envoie ma Belle Maman au mois de septembre pour une petite semaine de remise en forme. Encore une fois Bravo et un grand merci de la part de nous 4!

Great room in a quiet, convenient location
Reviewed By sooziegirlWe spent just one night here but just loved our stay! Our room was lovely, the bed was very comfortable and we had a balcony as well. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was good. We were able to borrow a Swiss power adapter as we didn’t have one which was very convenient. We didn’t have a fridge in our room but there was a communal one and we all had our own section. The location is quiet and just a few minutes walk to the town centre. It was a 5-10 minute walk to the Thermal baths as well. If we ever return to this beautiful town we will stay here again!

Reviewed By River RThe Rossli is plain on the outside but award winning on the inside. With the Gault Millau rating of 16 the restaurant is unassuming until you experience the food and service. Centrally located in the town and a short walk from the bus stop at the "Post". This is the year of the snail in Bad Ragaz. The snail being the mascot for the art expo.

Reviewed By jac-hobyThis is the kind of place we like to stay. Very nice peoples and very helpful. The breakfast was exceptionally well prepared. All BIO products from the region. The room price was adequate. The room we got at short notice was very clean and small, but functional. I dont like the carpets, but by and by they will be changed to new more clean materials. The location is central for visits all around. The have parking lots nearby. Shops all around and good bakeries.
