Great location and value
Reviewed By EmilM1038I checked in for new year`s in the afternoon. It was quick and easy. I am happy with the separate bedroom. The bathrooms and floors were clean. They give you chips to enter the building an the floors so you can come and leave at your leisure.

Worse than I expected
Reviewed By algogotaHappily, the breakfast was acceptable and good, not much variety as in other places. Unfortunately, I am very disappointed with this hotel … it was worse than I expected. First of all, it is very old (that’s not the main problem) but with a lack of maintenance, old and bad looking furniture, structure … Second, is VERY dirty…. a lot of dead insects on the floor behind the curtains and beds… the tables dirty with juice … Bad canalization.. No air conditioning on the room, we had to sleep with the window opened and woke up with mosquito bites. The parking is paid, the Wi-Fi is paid… More to say… but my last advice for this hotel is to use and save the money they receive to MAINTAIN and RENOVATE! If not.. I really think they will lose clients.

Unforgettable experience with some of the nicest people we’ve ever met

The people we met made us feel right at home and we were happy to talk to musicians, painters, artists and explorers, which felt like our everyday scenery at this super cosy and friendly place.

Homado Hostel is located at the heart of Varna City, only minutes away the Dormition Cathedral. The late 19th century house which the hostel occupies is situated on a quiet back street, away from the traffic noise of the big city. From here to the Central beach of Varna and the Sea Garden it is only 15-20 minutes walk along the main pedestrian shopping street.

Very recommendable, clean, extremely organized and respectful place to stay in Varna. Coffee and breakfast cereal with milk included in rates!!! Cat lovers come hug the Kitties ? ? ?

Best hostel in Varna
Reviewed By Robin JI was originally just going to stay at the hostel for 2 days, but had to extend my stay for 8 days. Because this place is just to amazing. James and Tonnie are just the perfect people to run this hostel. The atmosphere and the activities here are so fun. They got drinking games for days like beerpong, battleshots, flip pong, card games beer bongs, and they have bingo cards for visitors. Different parties every night in golden sands. They also got a very nice cinema room to chill and watch movies. This is my favourite place on earth right now. I felt welcome from the first moment I stepped foot in this place. I will definitely come back here. ❤️✌️

Great hostel, if less than ideal co-hostelers
Reviewed By RJ SGood hostel, especially for efforts of management team, who were friendly and welcoming. The place is super small, so look elsewhere if you're hung up on private space. Location is excellent, about halfway between beach and cathedral, a couple of doors down from Sundogs bar. When I stayed there were some older guests, a family local to the region, that kind of took over the limited space, ate in the bed area, talked loudly during the day, then went to bed by nine and made a bit of a fuss when I wasn't quiet as a mouse getting settled later. They were night backpacker types, and that kind of killed the mood of the place. That's not necessarily hostel's fault, esp. if just filling beds on off season. But that was my experience, less than ideal for traveler.

Apartment with two bedrooms, balcony and part sea view

The apartment we stayed at had two bedrooms, a small entrance, with a refridgerator, and a bathroom with toilet/shower. My friend booked this apartment through Airbnb and all questions we had, prior to booking the apt. was promptly answered by the host. Please note that this is a Hostel (the area also includes a hotel with the same name). The host arranged transfer for us, from the hotel we were staying at to the Royal Hostel at a good price with a friendly taxi driver. The host was very friendly and helpful and was very easy to communicate with :) This Hostel is located in a calm area approximately 2 km from Golden Sands.The closest beach is Cabacum Beach which is located within walking distance, This beach is not as crowded as the beach in Golden Sands. Much nicer and calmer, you can enjoy a relaxing day at the beach. I highly recommend the Royal Hostel.

We Love the owners AND their sausage dog!
Reviewed By David NWhere do we start. This was the most welcoming hostel, the owner was great and helped to sort bungee jumping and scuba diving and recommended good places to visit and eat! When we turned up we were immediately shown to our private room (en suite) my girlfriend was tired so she was able to go straight to sleep but there was a group of people outside for me to chat with and i had a very interesting night! the next day another person staying there showed us to the secret beach which is a short walk away and deserted during the week - this was a fantastic place for a bbq and a beautiful way to meet to know the black sea! sausage dog gerel followed us all the way there the second time and we had to make a trip back to return him home and get him put on a leash, but had a lovely picnic breakfast after. very diverse range of people staying here! host very very helpful recommending different things to do and see, gave us lots of Ozo. And a beautiful roof terrace with deck chairs to look out to sea from! And although a bit far out very cheap to get a bus in to the town of Varna and they run till late at night. We liked it so much we left a few times to explore the coast and came back! Highly recommend :)

They refused to open for us
Reviewed By martin9619Notice that the reception is open only 13-19. We arrived at 20 and they just said they wouldn't open and so we couldn't stay there and we got no refund...so we can't really say much about the actual accomodation.
