Reviewed By kimSaeRiDon't get me wrong here, the place is nice. And the hotel rooms were all gorgeous, its just that, I don't think I have the most out of it during our stay there. The were calculated, and by it I mean, you would only get a limited choice of toast or rice meal. And the list goes on... They don't offer free coffee and no glass is available once you check in aside from the bottled water they would offer once you arrived. Overall, I guess this is just a regular hotel you could find anywhere in the City.

Nice place close to the airport
Reviewed By BWarneliusLocated really close to the airport is a good choice when you are arriving late or leaving early in the morning. Rooms are clean and comfortable. I specially enjoyed the restaurant, having a breakfast early in the morning in the terrace was very nice. It is really close to several waterfront resorts but a bit far from Cebú city, specially if you want to take a boat to continue your trip around.

Our hostel provides clean and budget-friendly accommodation that is just 4 minutes from the airport. We are located a few minutes walk to shops, restaurants, lechon houses and businesses.

Reviewed By hensonc247The place is about 5-10mins drive from the airport. The owner and the staff was very kind to us. Recommending the place if you have an early morning flight to catch the next day. They arranged a packed breakfast for us.

Filthy bedroom and bathroom
Reviewed By bangkok_resident1986The HideAway Dive Hostel really deserves its name, it is in the middle of nowhere. Fortunately, Google Maps/GrabCar was able to find it. The first night was horrible because the room was filthy. Dead flies on the bedsheets. The maid cleaned up on the next day. It was much better, but there were still some small black spots on the bedsheets. I did not receive a fresh towel. The shower needs maintenance. The shower head holder is broken and will eventually fall apart. The washbasin is not properly mounted to the wall. Just like the rooms, the shower room will need daily cleaning. You have to explicitly demand basic amenities like a towel. They do not have soap or shampoo in the shower room. The hostel is too expensive as that they could afford to not provide their guests with basic amenities and cleanliness. I must say that the hostel employees were very nice and helpful. They provided me with valuable travel information. They ordered Angkas motorcycle taxis for me and provided me with valuable travel information. The staff was great. The breakfast was basic, but delicious.

Close to airport
Reviewed By BalikpapanRainI stayed at this hotel for one night because it is on Mactan. Not much happening around it. You will definitely get the 'local flavor of life' walking around that area. A few ok BBQ places nearby, and a mall within walking distance. Not an area I would go wandering around a lot at night as a foreigner.

Reviewed By aguaflordelizaUpon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the owner. Rooms were clean and tidy, bed was comfy! Walking distance to Beach and Supermarket. We had a JOYFUL STAY indeed! :) :) :) Would definitely recommend to everybody!

Budget friendly
Reviewed By JheziePI wasnt expecting alot with the amount we've paid for. But it was able to meet my expectation. At a very minimal cost we were provided with a room with 1 double bed and a 1 bunk bed. Location wise, you have to pass through a small road but eventually that same road is a short cut going to the airport. So, it's really an advantage.We didnt have a hard time finding a ride since we used grab. For a better service, they should double check the facilities before giving the room to the guest. The glass door of our CR wasnt fixed, we didnt complain at all since all we want was to take some rest after our wholeday travel. Overall, it was a good place to stay.

DISGUSTING.... It should be ZERO stars.

But for 90% of other travellers... NO NO NO!!! Don't let the many official looking certificates plastering the wall fool you. I appreciate the need for 'budget' places to stay for a night or two, BUT this is a opportunistic business trying to benefit from the many naive foreigners transiting into and out of Philippines through Mactan Airport. CLEARLY run by money hungry leeches who pay peanuts to the young uneducated, migrant staff... It's not a hotel, its just a building with space.. one that's quite simply a grim, give us your money, accept anything and don't dare complain shack pretending to be a safe and clean and well run place to stay. Instead of a room for 1 or 2 people for PhpX, these people have realised that it's better and more lucrative to offer a room for 4, 5, 6 or more people sharing bunk beds etc for a night for PhpXX. Very clever!!! BUT clearly an additional profits are not being spent on anything to benefit visitors or the young staff, or to improve basic standards for a place offering accommodation. Dirty soiled sheets (see picture), unclean blocked filter aircon, smelly room, low water pressure, towel the size of a napkin, no where to hang clothes, no basic items like 'soap'. There are many alternatives nearby, and close to the airport where its costs the same, a little more or cheaper on occasion and you'd be offered clean bed linen, atleast a little soap, toilet paper and fresh air, oh and a towel that covers more than your groin. I paid, complained politely, was met with ignorance and so I left with the owner refusing to do the honest and decent thing by returning atleast part of my payment. And so another example of the corrupt immoral attitudes and culture that is destroying the Philippines.
