Lovely little hotel in a great location !

We have just returned from a fantastic stay at Hostal Tak over the Easter Weekend. All the staff are friendly and so helpful, with a great knowledge of the area. Our room was spotlessly clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The kitchen area for guests along with the courtyard area make it a lovely place to stay and relax. The location is excellent with easy walking distance to either the beach or the old town giving you a huge choice of bars, restaurants and shops to visit. Would highly recommend staying here and we will be back!

Small breakfast, service bit unfriendly.

No locals at all here, just full of tourists. Breakfast was small. Roof terrace was nice if you don’t mind carrying your own food up four flights. Service wasn’t the friendliest. I’d probably not bother coming again.

Lovely place, perfectly clean, friendly staff, very (!) rude hosts

Reviewed By zorro007Marrakech

Great lovely place, horrible unfriendly hosts. The place is very beautiful, very clean and in the best part of Marbella, right in the old historical town, and near the beaches, but the hosts at the reception were rude and unkind for no clear reason at all. The other staff was lovely. The airport shuttle was not available although it was promised which made me miss the plane.

Toc Hostel Malaga

Beautiful hostel but needs better insulation

Reviewed By Tracy L

I booked a double directly through their website. This place is very beautiful. Not what I was expecting so I was pleasantly surprised. I only needed a room for 1 night since I was flying out of the Malaga Airport early in the morning. I stayed in room 106. If you book a room facing the main walkway/ street be mindful there is a club right outside the hostel and the party don't stop til the late in the morning. I left for my early morning flight at 5am and they were still open, music playing with people outside enjoying themselves. While the bed was comfortable, it was impossible to sleep. I did inform the nice gentleman at the front desk about the noise and he sympathize but honestly they can't do anything about it except warn guest, offer ear plugs and work on getting better insulation specifically for that side of the building. And for this reason only, I probably won't rebook here again.

I payed for a dormitory with private bathroom. The toilet was clogged therefore not usable and the door to the shower room didn't close at all. Room was dirty and small, but that's not the worst part: I contacted the structure twice to let them know I've had knee surgery and couldn't climb up to a top bunk, was ignored both times. I arrived at the hostel and of course the only bed available was a top bunk. The receptionist shrugged showing me on the booking website that they don't read messages and told me 'I don't have a solution, I don't know, put the mattress on the floor and sleep there'. Bottom line, I paid to sleep on the floor and to have an unusable bathroom. When I checked out this morning 27/2 , there was a different receptionist so I told her about how problematic and unpleasant my stay was. She couldn't care less, just replied 'ok, give me your key back'. These people don't give a crap and it shows.

She listened to our needs and was very accommodating. Another young girl from Colombia was equally as helpful when she assisted us in ordering some sun cream! Going over and above for us was much appreciated! We will be back! Thank you

Great find. The rooms were clean and the view was fantastic. Could have not wished for a more pleasant place to spend a few days. The bed was really comfortable and I slept very well. There is a shared kitchen/living room which was very useful for making tea and you could cook there if you needed to as there was a cooker & fridge. The shared bathroom was not a problem and was always free when we needed to use it. Nice owners who cared about their guests. Would love to go back one day. Thank you for a special & very memorable stay.
