The campsite "La Haie Penee ****" is located in one of the most beautiful Bay : The Somme Bay. It is a four star campsite with 230 pitches for residential mobil-homes and many areas for temporary stays. Our campsite is a familial campsite opened from the 15th of September to 15th of December and has lots of green areas. We caters for camping-cars, tent and trailer camps. The bathroom plumbing are equipped with about 10 showers including one for disabled guest, washbasins, sinks and toilets. We offer you many free services on-site such as : - outdoor swimming-pool from May to September - 2 fishing ponds unlimited access (no fishing equipment on-site) - petanque courts - sport courts - playgrounds for children - inflatable games - sand dune pay benefits: - aquatic area with sauna and jacuzzi on reservation at the office - large fishing pond of 3 hectares 7 km away from the campsite.. Get the loyalty card to the office The swimming pool is heated from May (15) till September opened every day. His 36 metres long slide will delight everyone. Activities are organised such as aquarobics or games during summer season. The shorts are forbidden within the swimming pool for reasons of hygiene. Even if the swimming pool is watched, the children are under the supervision of the parents. The campsite offers you various activities during the summer such as : - aquarobic lessons - games for children, teenagers or/and adults - activities in the swimming-pool (water polo...) - Paintball - Outings in the Bay, for a ride, in a amusement park... - Theme parties (dance/fancy dress balls, karaoke...) - Theme meals - swimming-pool opened late (till 11 pm) Come accidentally or ask in reserve if you want a space well in shadow. The space intended for campers located near the pond, with access to electricity, station of purification. Mind traditional camping is always present very in our minds, and we will always do our best for you to find the best place. But think however that in some periods places become limited enough!

Reviewed By PaulH291261Stayed here for 1 night before heading back to UK in our Campervan. Pitch was ok with electricity, and quite private, toilet block and showers leave a lot to be desired, unclean and very basic, that said I don't suppose it gets used a lot as mostly mobile homes on site. Luckily was only here for one night but it done the job.

Reviewed By Les_ElaineWe stayed in a caravan for just one night and were sorry we didn't stay longer. Our hosts were the nicest of people making us feel at home with their offering of a glass of the local apple juice and advice on things to see and do. Our two grandchildren were with us and they loved the adventure of staying in a caravan in the middle of nowhere. The caravan is well equipped and the beds were comfortable and clean. The shower was really good. The caravan is close to three others but feels isolated because of the surrounding trees and winding river. We went on a nice, peaceful walk along the river bank. Breakfast was taken with a couple off ducks which were quite brave in their approaches for food. The kids loved them. If you want a relaxing break away from hustle and bustle, you won't go far wrong here. Only thing I would say is to remember you are booking into a wooden caravan so don't expect fine China, silver cutlery and soft fluffy towels, you'll be disappointed. We weren't.

Reviewed By JerseyCowBrumIt is a municipal site so basic and the toilets fit that style, but it is very clean and well organised (I did struggle to find the light for the loo at night and make sure you take toilet paper and soap!), but felt secure for a site in the middle of a town. We were literally there overnight and no issues. Our boys were less keen - but then they had come from a riverside campsite in the Dordogne, to this, where slightly noisier town environment with fences and locks.

Only spoke a little bit french but the lady at the camping was very polite, explained a lot and gave super advice partially english / french and german. Facilities are great. Nice, quiet area. Many possibilities walking arround and visiting the area. Was our first Camping trip and we had not so much equipment but we were helped out with power adapters so we could use electricity.

A comfortable,4-star campsite situated in the heart of the Baie de Somme and next to the lovely Medieval Village of Saint-Valery-sur-Somme. You will discover several villages with fishing beaches, beautiful cliff and woodlands walks. Campsite facilities include a covered heated swimming pool, tennis court, a comfortable Snack-Bar and a children's play area. There are lots of entertainments, Kid's Club during the high season.

We booked a pitch back in January, and gave details of our caravan, so were surprised when we were allocated a pitch much too small for us. We had to find somewhere to leave the caravan and go back to reception to tell them this. They seemed surprised, and gave us two alternatives, but said we had to be quick as people were arriving, so had to choose one and come back and tell them which we had chosen. This was stressful after a long journey and it was very hot, so to walk to reception and back twice from the far end of the campsite was not pleasant. Our concern is that we had booked very early and given details of our caravan, but the initial pitch was not appropriate. The pitch we chose had previously been a mobile home pitch and had broken glass on part of it which someone was sent to clear up the following afternoon, by which time we had already done it, as we had other family coming. We were also warned that the pitch was a long way from the toilet block, but generally that was not too much of a problem. Access to water was not clear, and we were told by reception that the nearest fresh water was at the motor home service point which was a very long way to carry water. However, a mobile home owner opposite took pity on us, and told us to help ourselves to her external tap, which was very kind. The toilet blocks were spotless and we never had to queue for a shower. The bar was okay, although it was closed at 8.10 pm on Sunday, which seemed early. The great thing about this site is the proximity to St Valery, where there is so much to do and see. Staff are all friendly and the site is very well kept.

Strange way to run a buisness
Reviewed By suzannerL4497YRAsked to stay for two nights and was told there was only a vacancy for one, while there internet site would have have given me the extra night. Got the impression she didn't want us.!! Themed site, internet the best thing really, quite busy, lads had to be told to quieten down, facilities shared and very basic; wont be coming back, obviously they won't be too bothered about that.

Reviewed By bertieheysWe stopped here for one night on our way back from a great week’s camping on a lovely site not far away near St Valery Sur Somme thinking that we’d have a rest after packing up all the gear. Wish we hadn’t. Chalet was clean and a nice size - but the site is cramped to say the least, all packed in like sardines. My son said it reminded him of a survival camp. Bar area small and very unfriendly. No food really, apart from a trucker type fry up booth and the ‘shop’ is a shelf of long life goodies that makes a Londis look like Fortnum and Mason, although there is a small supermarket down the road. Noise until 4am. Suggest this site is not geared to tourists. Would definitely not recommend.

Very good facilities eg football/basketball area, pétanque, games (billiards, table football), tennis. Accommodation clean with spacious living area. Delicious bread available every day. Pool is nice - shame it’s not open throughout the day.
