Reviewed By Z1447FEdenisefAnother enjoyable stay. I always feel that getting repeat guests says a lot. It had been a couple of years since I’d been to the area. I am happy to report that the staff were all as friendly and helpful as during previous stays here - from the front desk, housekeeping, and management. If traveling with a dog, I highly recommend contacting Bella Capri directly to be sure you are aware of their dog policy, dog fees & deposit. Other reviews I read sounded like guests weren’t aware ahead of arrival. I travel with a small dog and have a specific room I like. I was able to request and get that room. It’s a small room with full-sized bed, and perfect when I’m traveling with my small dog. The room has everything we need including a small fridge and microwave. It’s clean and the hotel has old-style charm. The location is safe, and enjoyable for walking my dog both in the early morning and evening. I appreciate that Bella Capri is dog friendly. For those of you who are traveling with a dog, please be sure to read and abide by the Inn’s pet policies so that they will remain dog friendly! I personally go beyond in assuring that I leave my room in great condition … so that no one would even know that I’d traveled with a dog. I bring an extra, clean blanket from home to drape on any furniture my dog might get on, plus he wears a full-body slinky (thin dog PJs) to assure we don’t leave any extra dog hair behind. He’s never left unattended in the room, either. Other precautions to consider … if you think your dog could possibly have a potty accident, use a belly band/dog diaper. Keep in mind a barking dog may disturb other guests (leaving a dog unattended, you have no idea if it’s barking). Thanks again to all Bella Capri staff for another nice stay. Note: this is a quiet hotel that IMO is best for quiet adults/couples. Sorry, photos were taken upon check out after my stay … forgot to take photos on arrival.

Reviewed By Patrice HWe were supposed to stay at the Hummingbird Inn for just 1 night. On the day of the stay, our daughter was not feeling well and we had to cancel the trip. It was 6 PM, so I left a message for the Inn stating that we were not coming, and that we knew it was too late to cancel, but that we wanted them to know that the room would be free in case they had a last-minute inquiry. Later that evening we received a message stating they were able to occupy the room with another guest and they gave us a full refund. This is extremely ethical as they did not have to do that according to the cancellation policy and very honest as we would never have known that the room was sold after all. Fantastic service!

Reviewed By j_becks619The grounds of this motel were beautiful. My dog absolutely loved the outdoor area to run freely in. The pool area was very well maintained and could not be more relaxing. The only reason I gave this place 4 stars was because the bathrooms in the rooms could use a little updating. Jacuzzi tubs in the rooms were certainly a plus. I’m not sure if they were in every room though. Oh and this motel is walking distance to downtown! Overall great place to stay!

Reviewed By TakinTheScenicRouteBuyer beware. Cancel and book elsewhere now!! Booked one night at the inn on the beach. Arrived at 5pm and no parking was available with only 5 spots avail. When I went to check I mentioned this to from desk. He said, "sorry youre completely screwed and youre just going to have to deal" I asked can you recommend where I park since I am not from here. Had no answer said not my problem and was super rude. The hotel is dated and very dirty. Front desk needs obvious training. It would of been as simple as pointing to nearest parking lot. Front desk agent was clearly disturbed and didn't want to help. Seemed to be larger problem. When I asked for receipt of canceling desk agent said I wasn't getting one cause he was upset for what I don't know. Wouldn't never recommend lots of great hotels nearby.

Cigarette smoke, dusty air conditioning filter, no water pressure…OH MY!!!
Reviewed By kinhoy3The motel is old but had an old time charm to it. When we got there, the smoke alarm went off and was taken out of the room. The room smelled like cigarette smoke and the filter on the air conditioner was filthy and dusty which also contributed to the cigarette smell. We couldn’t use the closet to hang up my dress or jackets. The water pressure in the shower was horrible. It took forever to rinse yourself off and the bathroom door didn’t close properly. The internet service was slow. I didn’t feel secure because even the door handle to our room seemed like someone tried to break in previously. The only thing that I can say was that it had a large room, a refrigerator, large television and the king size bed was really comfy. The room had a microwave, but you had to decide on keeping the refrigerator or light on or unplug one item to use the microwave. They need more electrical wall sockets or at least some power strips to accommodate for other electrical items such as phone chargers and laptops. When we drove out of the motel, there’s an alley. In the alley by the motel, they have a chair there stating “good stuff” which had bottles of drinks, food and alcohol. Is this for the homeless? We did see a few sketchy people around the area, but if the motel is leaving these items for them, it doesn’t make a good impression.

It had marble counter tops, laminate floors, within a clean attractively decorated room. The proprietor was as delightful as the decor. My husband and I both felt thoroughly refreshed after sleeping on their comfortable mattress. Good deal and I am glad we stayed here.

The floor was tile but there was hair and dirt along the edges of the floor and a cockroach in the bathroom. The comforter was stained with some liquid. The manager and his wife were very intrusive and asked personal questions.

Older property, but wonderful location!
Reviewed By ninadrbThis is an older property, but it has a stunning location and grounds. Sometimes it is hard to believe you are right next to the highway….No private balconies, however. Unfortunately there is not a microwave in the room, and not even a coffee maker. And there is no coffee provided in the lobby. Both would be good, considering the price of the hotel rooms….There was a very unpleasant worker who actually yelled at my husband when he went down 10 minutes after the breakfast had ended, to get more coffee! We had seen this same individual being rude to two other guests at dinner the night before….However, the restaurant is great- good food, not overly expensive and a beautiful setting. Guest parking can be very tight, however. The provided breakfast is limited and starts at 7:30, which makes it difficult if you are leaving early. The daily maid service is nice, and quite a rarity these days! Overall, we would probably stay here again. I just wish they would at least get room coffee makers, if not microwaves!

Large suite with living area, kitchen (with coffee, tea, a few snacks and cans of sparkling water), bedroom and bathroom. Quiet, clean and comfortable except for the overhead lights in the bedroom that were not positioned correctly for reading in bed. Great location as easy walk to everything in town.
