Reviewed By MFC31Our flight was due to land late, and we wanted an early getaway the next morning so this was the perfect stay for us. The room was decent. It had good wifi and shower facilities, the bed was comfortable too. It would’ve been nice to have a kettle in the room to make a coffee before we hit the road, but other than that, a good stay!

Reviewed By AkridoBooked at short notice because of a flight the following day the hotel was unexpectedly good. Clean, comfy bed, excellent shower, surprisingly sensible dinner menu, well-priced basic wine list, quiet, close to the airport, wonderfully entertaining host. The only slight irritation was patchy Wi-Fi coverage but overall it was terrific value for money.

We are located in Velika Mlaka, on the main road which connects city of Zagreb (15 minutes from us by car or public transport) with the city of Velika Gorica and Zagreb Airport. Guesthouse "Stari Jasen" house, located one kilometer off the main road, is perfectly suited to accommodate travelling business people, guests in passing and tourists looking for a place to rest in a peaceful surrounding. Adjacent to the Guesthouse there is Grill&Beer "Stari Jasen" in traditional wooden house from the year 1923 offering local Croatian cuisine with the best ingredients from bio production and meat from small local butchers.
Quiet country inn
Reviewed By WilliamC3937This country inn is clean and quiet. We had a very pleasant stay. The proprietor is friendly and helpful. He speaks English well. We had a little difficulty leaving the airport in our rental car. Our navigation apps had not been updated with some of the new road construction. We finally figured it out.

Layover before flight from Zagreb
Reviewed By YamideeI used Ikar guesthouse for a night layover before I departed from Zagreb airport. Rooms are spacious and most important clean with AC,TV and parking infront of the house.. Owner is very nice, and he can arrange for you a pick up at the airport or drop you there if needed.Velika Gorica "small" city center is approx. 1,5 km away where the ATM’s and shops are located and few pubs.

Good rooms, bad environnent - airport not so close anymore!!
Reviewed By IraNenaFirst there was no parking place for us because the bar was full. Then I had to enter the bar to ask for reception witch was awfull. A bar full of drunk older men and cigaret smoke... I was very uncomfortable to go in. The waiter/receptionist woman was in a hury to go back in the bar, so we didn't get a warm and friendly welcome. In the room, only one set of towels, so I had to go back in the bar to ask for more... We didn't ask for breakfast, but if its also in the bar...I'm happy we have left early. The rooms were clean, warm, with aircondition, hot water, tv, wifi...very quiet. Some things could be improved (like key chaine). The view was bad, and a chair could be usefull for guests in the room. Also, they should have a key in the front door, I didn't feel very safe sleeping in a house where anybody could go in at any time of the night. The price - very good!

Rooms very clean and comfortable with A/C, free WiFi, good terrace with local beers, and very friendly and helpful personnel! Breakfast was a bit simple for Finnish taste... Do not stay ever one night there
Reviewed By OliviaTravelocity2I was placed there with a tourist group for 1 night for early transfer as it close to Zagreb aeroport (but extremely far from any spot of civilization). We arrive at 9 PM after long driving. The electronic keys were not working for 2-3 rooms reserved and we have to gallope to reservation again. Receptionist find physical metallic key. The door was opened but key card become desactivated and no electrify turning on. Go again down and ask to activate the card. About at 10PM finally get to very poor diner organized- no ever drop of any juice, only hot water for tea. In the room I find also couple of gray insects, approximately 1 sm size, I do not know how to call them. And, can you imaging, on the top all of this the flushing water in the rest room stop flush. It was 11 PM. Hotel do not have anybody on the lobby unreel the morning. Is all of this possible in the 4 stars hotel, or ever without any star hotel? So upsetting to have all of this with tyedness that I had , very early transfer and very long flight with connection ahead. Could they be prepared better? Such a disgusting attitude to the tourists! Do not stay in Garden Hill Hotel - Velika Gorica close Aeropostale’s location ever 1 short night!

Simple and convenient
Reviewed By jontheanimalsThis is a clean and convenient stop-off, within 20 minutes of Zagreb Airport. Our room was in fact a suite, with two double rooms, a small sitting room and ensuite bathroom. Although the furnishings are simple, the rooms were spotlessly clean. The room was surprisingly quiet, for a town centre location. Rooms are air conditioned. Staff at reception were helpful and welcoming. We were not able to have breakfast, as we were taking an early flight. Wi fi is provided, though we were unable to access it.
