Excellent hotel, picturesque village, great food
Reviewed By ossie666I have no idea why this is rated a one-star hotel. We took six rooms (a third of the hotel...), all of them were good. Comfortable bed, completely renovated bathrooms, all basic amenities, fantastic view. We were greeted by Chavi, who served as receptionist, concierge, maitre d', and everything else. At his suggestion, we took advantage of the game room and the two terraces for "family gatherings". Breakfast was good. Dinner was superb - local dishes, excellent quality. The church next to the hotel, Santa Eulalia d'Erill la Vall, is a UNESCO heritage site and worth a visit. Five minutes drive from entrance to Aiguestortres park (and maps and recomendations of trails were also provided by the hotel). Would love to come back for the "Fallas" festivities next year, and definitely stay here again.

The hotel is in the very centre of the valley and it is framed in a privileged natural setting. The cultural scene of the set of Romanic churches (World Heritage), the snow of the ski resort Boí-Taüll, the hot baths of the Spa of “Caldes de Boí”, in addition to a wide range of outdoor activities.

Reviewed By terrya443We spent 6 days in this lovely hotel in a beautiful area of Val de Boi. The hotel is family-run so there is an element of comfort and ease. The rooms are modern, quiet and comfortable and impeccably clean. We chose the media-pension regimen so enjoyed copious breakfasts and a varied menu in their excellent restaurant. The area offers many opportunities for walking and visiting Romanesque churches and quaint towns. We will return.

Reviewed By Coastal27563984971Beautiful house in a beautiful mountain surroundings. Very warm hosts and the stay was very comfortable and peaceful. Room was comfy and spacious, with an antique style. Price is reasonable. I would definitely come back if in this region again in the future.

Reviewed By aserffStayed with my family (wife and 3 years old daughter) in a triple room and was everything great. The rooms are super clean and tidy. Renovated bathrooms perfectly cared throughout the days we were there. Besides that, the most important thing, the staff of the hotel is absolutely amazing, they treat you like family. So nice and kind at every moment of our stay. Lastly, but no least, the food. You wouldn't expect to have such great food there and the food is really good. Their meat is great, soups and everything else. Great breakfast as well. Oh, yes, the location is great. Very central and walking distance to everything, and about 10-15min to Boí Taüll Ski Resort. Thanks a lot for everything! We´re definitely going to be back.

Reviewed By Chris IMy partner and I wanted to see the snow in November so we went to Pla de l'Ermita above Taull. Unfortunately for us we didn't realise that most of these small resort villages are closed in November, bracing themselves for the ski season! The owner of the hostal was delightful but although she gave us a superb breakfast there was no evening restaurant service in November which we weren't aware of until we got there. Consequently we had to drive to the next town to eat each night. The room was small but comfortable and warm. I'd like to go back in the spring or during the ski season when everything is open!

beautiful self-contained studio that accepts dogs!
Reviewed By geishagourmetMuch better than the photos, they accepted our 23-kg hunting dog (not an easy feat) in this tiny village on the west side of Aiguestortes National Park and a gem of its own for its World Heritage 12th century church (which you could see from one of our studio's windows). Though the village happened to be dead at this time of year, thus requiring a short drive to eat eat/shop etc, the studio itself was fantastic. Plusses: well decked-out (including a desk/table large enough for two), great views, super-quiet, plush bathroom, balcony where Danko could stare at the mountains...and a great price! Minuses: none that i could think of regarding the studio!
