Reviewed By Emmamac11We were not expecting much from this hostel as it was so cheap compared to all other accommodations, but we were happily surprised. The rooms are basic but clean, you have your own private bathroom but what makes it stand out is the beautiful outdoor area, which has live music I think most nights. Also the breakfast, for 5 € , is great value. You get coffee/tea, glass of juice with a choice of 3 varieties, a freshly made sandwich, a fresh pastry and a piece of fruit. We were full for hours. Also worth a mention, is Rosa on reception, who is always friendly and helpful.

Reviewed By JenniferkimsimpI have never stayed anywhere as clean as this! The room and communal hallways were absolutely spotless! It is quite possibly the cleanest place I have ever stayed! Our room also got made every day which was lovely to come back to and not what I expected from a Hostal ☺️ The room had everything we needed, extremely comfy bed, big wardrobe for storage, desk for makeup and lovely en-suite shower and loo. The Hostal is in a great location too and I would highly recommend visiting Tossa de Mar as it is very picturesque and lovely. The staff at the Hostal are extremely friendly and we chose to eat breakfast there on all days of our trip as for €3 you got 2 pieces of bread (toaster available for toasting + different jams, spreads and cherry tomatoes), orange juice (unlimited), a hot drink, a croissant and a mini muffin which we thought was amazing value. The only downside of the hotel was that there was no lift, but this is only a very small thing. Overall we loved our stay here and would stay again in a heartbeat! It was such great value and tossa is lovely!

The owner is the hardest working man on the planet, from the moment you meet him and his wife they make you feel so welcome, nothing is too much. If you want the usual monotonous modern hotels then this is not for you, but if you like friendly, warm and family orientated hotels this is for you. It is just like walking into someones home, the old traditional decor adds to its charm it is situated on one of the many colourful little cobbled streets. It is well positioned to walk to restaurants, friendly bars and the blue flag beach. The rooms have everything you need and are spotless, the breakfast in the mornings is cooked to order and there is a huge choice of meats, eggs, breads, yoghurts, cereals teas and coffees. The large terrace on the roof is the cherry on top the views are stunning and it is a beautiful place to sit and have a drink at the end of the day. A delicious jug of white sangria made by Luis up on the terrace as its getting dark is the perfect way to end an evening, with all the light's of the town creating a stunning backdrop. Once you visit this hotel you will understand why people have been returning year after year, the guests are as welcoming and as warm hearted as the owner and his family a few drinks at the end of the day is very like having a family get together in a friends or family’s sitting room. I will definitely return to this amazing hotel the whole town is filled with the friendliest people you very quickly feel at home and want to return.

The staff are friendly, the room nicely decorated and lovley& clean. The bed is very comfy .the only downside to staying here (and I have seen this on previous reviews )Is that the walls really are paper thin!!!you are above restaurants that have early deliveries so that is fairly noisy but with patio doors shut its not to bad & didn't bother me at all. However ,my next door neighbour did not have any regard for others! And with the walls being very thin & him being very vocal you could hear every conversation he had!!! Including him snoring at night (of which cant be helped lol)so if you are sensitive to noise bring earplugs !!!having said this it really is a lovley little place and I would recommend a stay here.

great place in a wonderful location
Reviewed By Emma MOne of the cleanest places i’ve seen.It is run by a family and they are the nicest people you could ever meet.I had a superior room with a balcony on the second floor but upon our request to have twin beds ,they were nice enough to move us on the first floor.Rooms are big,most of the balconies come with a table,the reception area and the interior garden is full of flowers and everything is very clean and tidy.Breakfast is also good ,you have plenty of options to choose from and is nicely served and prepared by the family who owns the place.They will help you with directions and recomendations.The hotel is located 4min walking distance from the beach on a very quiet street.Many thanks to the the owners for accomodating us in such a professional and warm way.Really recommend the place!!!

Disappointing stay, left after one night.
Reviewed By Tom DI left L'Hostalet after one night and wish I had booked another hotel in the first place. While the location at first blush is great, right off the beach and near many bars and restaurants and the staff was friendly and helpful, the hotel has several strikes against it. Rooms are extremely basic, truly like a hostel rather than a hotel. The bed was extremely low and hard, room had a bit of a body odor/musty smell. The hotel, while close to the beach, is right next to the large church in the town and the church bell rings from 9am until 12am, so if you need a siesta or to go to bed early, bring earplugs. I left after one night and for 20 euro more booked another hotel across town which was also near the beach and which was at least two stars improvement in quality. I believe many of the positive reviews here are actually for the restaurant attached to the hotel, which I did not try.
