Must Stay For A One-Of-A-Kind Experience
Reviewed By Connie PIf you’re looking for a resort type spa hotel, this is not your place, but, if you’re looking for a funky, fun, different adventure, this is the place for you. The owners of this as well as the people who work there, are absolutely fantastic. They love all animals and our cat and dog were welcome with open arms. We woke up to the most beautiful sight; Peacocks everywhere strutting their stuff. Breakfast was absolutely lovely and we got to meet some really wonderful, adventure seeking folks. There are different themed rooms as well as a couple of cabins. We stayed in the Oriental Room which was absolutely beautiful & met all our needs. Sheets & bed were super lush & comfortable. This is located between Goldfield and Tonopah; perfect stop when traveling through Death Valley. We liked it so much that we almost changed our trip to stay an extra day but decided that we would do that on the way back in the fall. So looking forward to returning there! I highly recommend this place for those who like unique experiences.

Reviewed By f2cattleThe folks at the counter are always great, friendly and help you out in any way they can. The rooms have always been clean just wish there was a pool out back somewhere not a big pool but maybe a small one just to jump in after a long day on the road.

Reviewed By Steve ANothing fancy here, but an adequate and comfortable place to stay. I would stay here again. Not a $200+/night b&b where everything is spiffy and new, but an older home. Seemed more like an upgraded airb&b since the owners don't actually live in the house.

Basic motel, poor internet, remote
Reviewed By cqfp123As others have said, it's a motel, not a B&B. Location: far from the town center and from stores, restaurants, etc. Basic decor (as expected). Unusual room layout with the head of the bed next to the window AC/heating unit; the latter was very loud and cycled on and off every few seconds. The nightstand was located on the opposite side of the room. The bed was ok but the two pillows were very thin. No extra pillows or blankets. Cleanliness seems to be ok, although I found some hair in the sink and shower. Bathroom with everything in working order. Hot water with good water pressure. Mediocre breakfast in the room. Easy parking in front of the room. Poor internet, frequently slowing down to a crawl or disconnecting. The owner was responsive and reset it twice.

A great place for a large family to visit

Great old houses, carefully and wonderfully furnished, great hosts, Mitzi and Dave provide a very large and healthy breakfast, advice and information about Unionville and the surrounding area and leave you alone to enjoy the restful peace and quite of the canyon where the bed and breakfast is nestled. We had family from the age of 7 to over 70 and everyone felt it was like home but quieted and star struck.

Big Room, Very Nice Management
Reviewed By christinamH1270BGWe stayed at the Royal Inn in Lovelock this weekend (April 30-May 2, 2021). It was a great place. The rooms were very spacious and each room had a full size refrigerator/freezer. The management was very nice. They have two outside tables with chairs, outside barbeques, laundry facilities, ice machine, plenty of parking for regular size vehicles, black out curtains, etc. The only thing that was a small flaw was the baseboard/plastic in the bathroom was detaching. Everything else was great! We would stay there again. For a small little town without big chain hotels this is the place to stay.

Reviewed By seibt4soreyesclean, cozy, comfortable & car right outside our door. the owner/manager is kind, pleasant, accommodating & went out of his way for us. we checked out & were back on the road, when we got a phone call 20 minutes later. he had found my ring in our room!! (I thought I had put it in my bag & it must of fallen out.) we immediately drove back & I will be forever thankful for him reuniting me with my most precious sentimental ring. it was my father's ring and brings back so many good feelings of him, when I wear it in his honor. the owner/manager's honesty, integrity, thoughtfulness & effort to contact us after we left is something so kind & rare, I will always appreciate what he did for me & never forget.

Reviewed By joancL1112BVFirst off, the options in Alamo, for anything, are limited. There are two motels and we chose this one. It's an old pre-fab building reclaimed from a nearby government base. They have put some effort into making the rooms cute, each one is a different theme. We had the hippie room. It was clean and relatively comfortable. Very low budget. We were happy to spend the night and slept well. It was quiet and the bed was OK. Staff was friendly.

Reviewed By josua499I am a diamond member of choice hotels, we made the reservation earlier that day, showed up after a long day of driving… the clerk told us he didn’t see the reservation come in and said he would cancel it without charge…. I later look at the statement and was charged $100 stating he checked us into a room without anything. Then I tried calling and was hung up on… I also did address it with choice and nothing ever happened.
