A hidden gem.

The neighborhood looks a little sketchy, but we 100% would recommend this hotel. The staff was polite, our room was immaculate, the beds were comfortable. The rooms don't allow much outside sound, and the ac works great. 10/10 would recommend, and definitely will stay again if we are in the area.

Well designed Family Suite

Reviewed By architect714

We stayed in the Family Suite on the first floor. It has a cute little one bedroom off the side of the king bedroom. This was perfect for our 5 yr old that was worried about how things would work on this vacation. Glass double doors between with blinds so it feels very connected, yet let us stick to his bedtime and then we could sit out on the private patio and enjoy the birds. The view is peaceful. We were told ground floor can be a little noisy but we didn't notice. It was so nice. We do travel often and love to stay at bed n breakfasts like this. This place was much quieter than most. We loved the charming coastal feel. It was very clean. I have animal and dust allergies and felt great here. The food was delicious. Honestly gained a couple pounds from the wonderful wine, cheese, pastries and omelets. We will be making this one of our regular vacation spots now.

DO NOT EVER STAY HERE

This is possibly the worst place to ever stay at. The rooms are nothing like the pictures. It is run down. People that work there are just temps and do not know anything about the property or who owns it. If you want to do yourself a favor you will not stay here.

Very unpleasant visit

Reviewed By carlhand1

Booked a two-room "cottage" for 3 nights in mid-May 2022. Had several distressing experiences. During 2nd night, could not get into room because of key lock malfunction. Took us 3 hours to get back in to get to our needed medications. Finally, locksmith was called to replace lock. Final day, toilets backed up causing sewage overflow in adjacent bathroom and next apartment tub. Took a long while to clean up. The so-called cottages are not stand alone but actually 2-room suites in an old building with no views. Would not recommend these for seniors as there are no grab bars next to toilets or in some tubs. Bars on rear windows create a safety hazard. Cleanup of rooms on daily basis was poor. Fixtures and kitchen appliances were not up to modern hotel standards. Besides all this, room prices were on the high side for this location.

Walk of shame!!!

Reviewed By Bea A

It was a fantastic plan for a weekend away to LA from our destination-las vegas-. Our experience it was A WALK OF SHAME!!! We ve reserved a room with booking.com and we had plans to visit hollywood that evening and the following day ( another reservations made for sunday). We drove from las vegas to los angeles and we saw things around along the beach and when we thought we were ready for check in at around 6:30 pm nobody was at the front desk; then we decided to look for a parking slot and after getting our head around for an hour we ve parked ( they don t have parking). When we have arrived we have been told that my name is not on the list. At arrival we have been told by the “night manager” that the reservation has not gone through. He gave us his phone to ask them as it looks it was not the first time when in happens. We contacted Booking.com explained the situation and they even talked in btw themselves manager -booking agent and things got nasty; the manager said it happens all the time blaiming on booking. He has been asked why they took the money from the account if they are fully booked and the manager did not want to listen and hang up on the lady. He could not care less he had a list with written name and my booking was made at least 3 days prior to our arrival. I was petrified. He showed no empathy for our situation. The cruel fact where will we sleep …where? On the streets? Not impressed him. We could not find any hotel room in our budget and we drove back to las vegas. Overall It was terrible, disappointing, tiring -we have put out lives at risk for driving nearly 10h in total and all the plans, bookings for that weekend vanished. It s a disgrace and something like this should never happen to anyone! I would not recommend this hotel and his management it looks they have a “history” of overbooking and leaving ppl on the streets. Stay safe!

Trip to Hollywood

Reviewed By douglasbbarton

A truly remarkable and classic little hotel with a distinctly European flair and old world charm reminiscent of days gone by. The Trylon Hotel's location is ultra convenient. While no restaurant exists on sight, there are hundreds within a short walking distance. There is a grocery, a 24 hour 7/11, a laundromat, gas station and 24 hour CVS Pharmacy, located half a block away. For the great price, high quality accomodation and impeccable service one receives at The Trylon Hotel, no other hotel in the Hollywood area even comes close. The hardworking manager (Ray) and his lovely wife are very helpful, conscientious and accomodating. Any request I had was immediately dealt with. I asked for more towels, more coffee and tissue on three different occasions. In less than a minute I heard a knock at my door and upon opening, a smiling face was there with my request. I've not had such impeccable service at the finest hotels in the world. The beds are super comfortable, and everything fastidiouly clean. This hotel is truly a hidden hideaway in the big city and gets my best rating possible for a discreet place to stay.

Parking in Venice is a huge plus !

Reviewed By tattooedtraveller_uk

Nice apartment, everything that you would need for a stay. Its in a very good location, 5 minute walk from the beach, 2 minutes from the canals. Its a bit further to get to a supermarket or somewhere to buy basic provisions if you have just flown in. The huge plus for me was that there is parking included with this, and that seems to be almost unheard of in this area. I would try this place again if I return to the area.
