Reviewed By OnAir28232164235This is a truly great place to visit, and a must when at these parts of Norway. The room standard (Junior suite rorbu) was excellent and of high standard. We had dinner at the Karoline restaurant, and had superb service from the waiter (originally from Belgium) in all possible ways for the food and drinks. The only reason why we could now give the highest score is that although the staff was correct in their behavoir at arrival and breakfast, they were not really friendly (with one huge exception) Maybe improved service training would help?? A short «Have a nice day» should not be too difficult…

Sakrisøy Gjestegård is housed in a former manor house dating back to 1880 and is located in the area of Moskenes. Free WiFi is featured and free private parking is available 70 m away. All rooms feature a sea view. Between 15 August and 15 April it is possible to watch Northern Lights from the rooms. Bathroom facilities are private or shared. Guests can cook their meals in the shared kitchen. Bike hire and car hire and car rental is possible it this facility. The area is popular for cycling and hiking. Leknes Airport is 62 km from Sakrisøy Gjestegård and Moskenes Ferryport is just 8 km away.
Amazing old building
Reviewed By maxpalmieri1981The building is really amazing, not so easy to find, maybe a sign will help. The staff was a little rude and not so kind but neither aggressive or unpolite. The room was very very well furnished, even with the smallest sink I've ever seen, it reveals a maniac care of details. Very good experience even if the staff was not present the morning we leave.

Reviewed By Amrod_xThe hotel is outside Henningsvær in the only road that arrive at the village at 5 minutes walk, just before the last bridge at alternate one-way. The rooms aren't big but neither little but with an amazing view on the sea. Really good breakfast and kind staff.

Reviewed By FlorenceLomprezWe had the panoramic room looking over the fjord. You can choose between cabin facing the fjord or glamping or room with no real view dépend of your budget. Breakfast wasn’t in the price of the room so we hadn’t but you can boil water in the room and use the tea bag they provide It’s very calm and not so far of the main road and some restaurants It’s a bit pricey for what they offer but I guess it’s Norway

Good alternative while in Lofoten
Reviewed By EhatlestadWere septic when reading reviews of this place but were surprised by the stay. Short story: 2 friends traveling on budget ordered a room with 2 single beds. When we arrived we understood that we were given a “family room” with 2 bed rooms, shower room and toilet room. There was free wifi, tv on each room. Rooms were clean and kept clean by the staff so kudos to them. Hotel offered free parking which is good. Breakfast was simple but good enough with hot meal (eggs, bacon, sausages and beans) in the weekend. Very helpful staff in the kitchen. All in all a good stay and will definitely book this hotel again. Only minus is the location to the city center was a bit long in the winter weather walking.

Skårungen is the perfect choice for a basecamp in Lofoten. You can reach the entire Lofoten Islands within 2,5 hour drive, and the view is impeccible.

Superb view, small basic room
Reviewed By picolinaI gave this an average because while conveniently located in town (the hotel provides a spectacular view of the surroundings from its top balcony), what you really get is a very small room that looks and functions more like an IKEA dorm room. There's a pleasant shared space (living room & kitchen) with 2 other rooms, however it's first come first serve so I can't imagine comfortably sharing this space with other guests. Parking is extra in an underground public space. Svolvaer is a pleasant town before you drive deeper into more remote locations in Lofoten. I have the feeling this modern hotel is one of the finer options to stay in town, however I would also check out Thon hotel nearby.
