Very cute hotel for a very reasonable price

It is located in a very ancient house and the common spaces are furnished with traditional furniture, which provides for a very typical mountain experience. We stayed in a double room-studio, with kitchen included, which was spacious, comfortable and with a nice view on a small square and the mountains in the background. The furniture was very nice, with a small "living corner" with couches and coffee table. We didn't use the kitchen but it looked fully-furnished. The bathroom and toilets were in the corridor, but it wasn't a problem for us. And the breakfast was delcious! We will definitely return there!

Incense and chrystals
Reviewed By Rosie LFriendly staff and a well equipped, clean room. The room was a bit on the small side, but considering I was using it by myself it wasn't a bother this time. Breakfast is very nice. The hotel is very feng shui, with minerals and chrystals everywhere, and wherever you go a very overpowering smell of incense, which is burned around the clock. Bit too heavy for me, but i guess that's a matter of taste.

Modern cuisine made freshly from local ingredients. Lovely personnel, attentive crew. Deeply impressed by what they offer for a reasonable price.

Exceptional Family Run Hotel
Reviewed By handyspannerWe came to Scuol for a couple of days to take in the air, enjoy the views and use the thermal baths, Hotel Gabriel was recommended to us by a friend and all I can say is "what a lovely find". From initial reception to final departure Andreaus and the family could not be faulted. We had a lovely room that is all pine and very comfortable, with a large and spacious bathroom with an excellent hot shower. The breakfast is very good and provides for most tastes with cereals, yogurts, pastries, cheese and cold meats with breads and preserves too. We ate both evening in the hotel restaurant and both meals could not be faulted for quality and value, with Andreaus and the staff providing excellent service. On both evenings during our stay the restaurant was busy with guests from the hotel and people who came in just to eat. We came to Scuol mainly for the thermal baths, however, we found a little gem and no doubt we will return to enjoy the summer time in the future, together with another winter dip in the baths!! Thanks for a great stay!!

Reviewed By Peter BWe just stayed for one only night and were give the Tower Room, a kind of maisonette apartment with living room on the basement and bed room on the first floor. This offers a great view to the impressing mountains from three windows! Very friendly and attentive owner and host. Serving a nice breakfast.

A faded lady but still comfortable and welcoming
Reviewed By doyouskiYou will not find friendlier or more helpful management than Elena or her son. They will go out of their way to make your stay here a success. But, be aware that this hotel is not in Scuol itself. It is several kilometers away by road in the village of Vulpera (there is a walking path up and down a deep ravine to Scuol – ask management for directions.) If you don’t have a car you will need to depend on buses. Depending on the season they may only run once an hour. The cost to ride the short distance seems high at CH 3.60 one way, but this is Switzerland after all. The hotel itself is somewhat outdated (there was only one electrical outlet in our room and it had cords for the TV, cable box and a lamp hanging out of it), but it is clean and comfortable. Some rooms share a bath, but there are en suite rooms available. Wi-fi is generally not available in the rooms, but you can get a decent signal in the restaurant or breakfast room. The hotel was reopened about three years ago after being shut for 10 years, which explains its behind-the-times ambience. The food at the restaurant/pizzeria is really tasty. Don’t be thrown off by the pizzeria description. There are a lot of pizza offerings, but you’ll have other main dishes to choose from too. Try the “capuns,” a regional dish made with geschnetzelte dough with dried meat pieces wrapped in chard and covered in a cream sauce garnished with grated cheese and bacon pieces. It’s a unique taste sensation. The pork schnitzel was excellent and huge.

Schöne und grosse Ferienwohnung
Reviewed By 54_XenonAn perfekter Lage, direkt neben der Bushaltestelle und gegenüber des Coop, liegt im Hotel Scuol eine sehr schöne und große Ferienwohnung. Zu fünft hatten wir mehr als genug Platz zum Schlafen, kochen, essen und spielen. Alles war sehr schön und praktisch eingerichtet. Die Gastgeberin war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir werden sicher wieder im Hotel Scuol buchen.

The rustic, small and cozy three-star hotel is peacefully situated, right in the center of the village, 5 - minutes walk from the famous spa "Bogn Engiadina Scuol" away. Who looks for a homely one, warm and intimate and not overcrowded atmosphere is, in our good hands.
Fantastic place!
Reviewed By VVV77This place is fantastic. We stayed for 2 nights in August 2014, in Lischana (the name of the room). The place is gorgeous, small and cosy. The price was very reasonable for Switzerland. The place is thoughtfully furnished, and the owner has thought of everything-a bar fridge, lots of storage, huge soft towels. The bedroom in this room was on the next level up from the living room. It was all very spacious. The location is great-less than 300m from the baths. For 15CHF we got an all-day pass to the baths (Bogn Engiadina) which are amazing and well worth at least a few hours. The breakfasts were really good-all sorts of breads and cheeses, spreads, mueslis etc. For 30CHF we got dinner in Hotel Astra which was pretty good-I have written a separate review. The only reason it got 4 starts and not 5 is because the WiFi reception was pretty useless. The owner said she is aware of it and trying to find a solution. The only way we could get reasonable reception was by sitting on the stairs. I think when you advertise that WiFi is available it should be, and in your room. I would definitely recommend this place, and would not hesitate to stay here again (provided the Net access was fixed!).
