Reviewed By 247marinavWe spent one night at the hotel on a cold misty night. Very particular atmosphere, between past and present. Confortable room. The dinner at the restaurant was excellent, the menu offered a variety of very astonishing dishes. One would not expect it at 2400 m above see level!

The Chesa Pool was built in 1585 and its charm has lasted through the centuries to the present day. The Chesa Pool counts 19 rooms of a special kind: from a historical suite to comfortable double rooms. As you cannot reach us by car, we offer a free shuttle service trice a day at fixed hours. Alternatively you can reach the hotel walking through the gorge path in about 20 minutes. Please note that this is a partly steep forest path and not illuminated at night. Another very nice option is to book a horse-drawn carriage, the best way to enjoy this beautiful environement.

Reviewed By Camper584201The hotel stands in the middle of the walking valley, and on New Year's day there was no shuttle service. I could not walk 3 km in freezing temperatures and was forced to drive my car into the no access road. The manager the next day let me found a 100 Fr fine on my car. Never ever book this place. Pretty inconvenient and awful management.

The Hotel Schweizerhof is a traditionell swiss hotel with a history of over 110 years. We call it the Grand-Hotel in Val Müstair" and the hotel is full with antiquaries of the last century with a marvellous dining-room in the first floor. The rooms are practical and going with the time furnished with WLAN for free, TV, telephone, bathroom with shower or bathtub a restaurant for é la carte dining and a sunterrasse. For small dining or a drink we have our "beizli", furniushed in wood and vermy homy. We serve many food from the region here or directly from our garden. Welcome to the Hotel Schweizerhof.
Why I only give it a one!
Reviewed By uhu55We had single rooms, which were simple, but clean and functional. The breakfast was ok. So was the food generally, but certainly nothing to get excited about. The personell was quite friendly. So why give it a one only? The first morning the coffee machine was down. Somebody was trying to fix it, it turned out to be the owner. I politely asked him how I could order coffee when he for no reason at all „exploded“, started to shout at me, calling me names, telling me if I, as somebody from the city, was not able to have a minute of patience until the server would come, I should go to check out and leave immediately. And so on … That behaviour is completely inexcusable, whatever the circumstances. I also have to say that this was the first time ever I have seen that somebody in a hotel or restaurant dared to act in such an utterly rude manner towards a guest. And the person being the owner — incredible. So, not a place I will ever go back to and not a place I can recommend.

Cosy Hotel located in the old town of Chur. Since there are no cars allowed in this part of town it is mostly a quiet area. The building is a historic house of one of the guilds in Chur and was built around 1483. The greater part of the rooms have shower/WC. All rooms have free Wifi and LCD-TV.

Breakfast was all right and the location was near perfect, the hotel is located in the very center of the old town so it makes it very cute. It takes less than 10 minutes by foot to get to the train station and you can have a nice walk to get to a nice point of view of the valley up the hill behind the church. That was a very pleasant experience, would come again. I loved that the hotel was so nice looking in a typical Swiss architecture way.

Reviewed By romanmX4504LUVery nice and clean. Helpful and friendly staff. Made a reservation for three but we were only two. They went out of their way to change the booking and didn't charge for it even though it was totally my fault and I didn't even ask for a discount. Loved the breakfast.

Modern cuisine made freshly from local ingredients. Lovely personnel, attentive crew. Deeply impressed by what they offer for a reasonable price.

It is beyond special, as is the hiking in this area. We love this area so much better than up the valley in St Moritz . You feel like you are part of the community, and the hotel truly makes you feel like home. We intend to bring friends back here in two years

Pleasant hotell offering modern rooms, a nice sauna and restaurant with a good food offering. The fitness room was a disappointment. Employees very positive and helpful. Frequent bus services in all directions but probably smart to have a car.

Absolute Best Experience among the 3 hotels I stayed in the Maloja District
Reviewed By rememrOverall, I'm glad I went to the trip advisor forum for hotel location recommendations, I felt this is the best hotel among the three I've stayed in the Maloja District for this 9-days trip: Silvaplana > Celerina > St. Moritz. Arriving from St. Moritz: Simply take the public bus near the train station and alight at Silvaplana Kreisel Mittel. Walking to the hotel is a short 5min walk on a slight slope. A good location to go anywhere in Silvaplana. Service: Received a very warm welcome during check-in and introduction to the hotel amenities and various locations around Silvaplana, with personal recommendation on what tickets are applicable for me (transport, ski, engadin card etc). Very friendly staff I've encountered throughout my stay here. The hospitality is something you won't get from what you get from larger hotels. Active Plus Room: Simply awesome with a great view of the surroundings and mountains from the bedroom and balcony. Well equipped kitchenette, living area, bathtub in shower room and walk in closet. Radiator heater is easy to use. Food: Breakfast has a good spread of hot food (eggs to your liking) and cold platter (cheese, hams, muesli, smoked salmon etc.) Exploration Tips: Corvatsch, Val Fex, Lake Silvaplana, Lake Sils, various hiking trails. Transport Tips: Google Maps isn't very accurate in terms of the timing of public bus transport timings, so be sure to look at the bus timetables at the bus stop.
