Stayed here for a last minute long weekend for the June bank holiday. The location is ok. It’s a five minute walk into the centre. It’s all depends what you really want from a holiday. If you’re wanting a relaxing holiday I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. However if you’re not fussed about a crowded concrete jungle type pool area, chaotic buffet and mainly Spanish and British guests then fill your boots. The food to be fair is pretty good for all inclusive, plenty to chose from and the staff work hard. There’s nothing intimate or pleasant about the dining room though. All inclusive drinks at the hotel are ok to be fair. Just a lot of queuing unfortunately. The bedrooms we had faced the back, they served a purpose, apart from the bathrooms were a bit like a jigsaw, really randomly designed. The maids did a good clean each day. One thing the hotel needs to address is the noise the maids make in the corridor, for any of you that like a lie in after a late night, bring ear plugs as the maids like to loudly chat from one end of the corridor to another from about 9am. It’s so annoying!! Being honest we found the Gran Cervantes to be a better hotel when we came last time and they are about the same price.

In need of a lot of TLC

Reviewed By 680anthonyp

My wife and I stayed here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We had been told by others that had stayed here that it was a great hotel. On arrival we were checked in quickly. Our room had an excellent view of the marina but had seen better days. It was clean but needed some TLC. The finish left a bit to be desired. The bathroom was half tiled and the untiled part was very rough. Around the doorframe it looked like the builder just deciced that if he hit the wood with a hammer it would fit, instead of cutting it to fit. There were sliding doors to a party room and you needed a strong arm to close them. The aircon unit had no instructions and would need an engineer to explain how to operate it. The rooms were serviced daily but some telltale spots on the floor indicated that a wet mop wasn't used. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was the same every morning but had no signs to indicate what was on offer. It is positioned right on the beach but be prepared to climb up and down a lot of steps to get there. I wouldn't be rushing back.

Excellent if you take The Level.

Outstanding hotel. But this is because of The Level. Staying here without The Level would be a very different matter. Think of this as two hotels one is a rather basic and souless 3 star. The other is a very chic 4/5 star. If you stay here definitely upgrade to The Level.

Disappointed

Reviewed By Alegna1957

Stayed here with family and was very disappointed. Beautiful grounds rooms clean staff did their best they work very hard. Food was average and very repetitive. Entertainment was good and bad with some acts being cancelled . Children's entertainment not good ,no ice creams at the pool bar or snacks for children and the buffet for children was terrible ,chips, chips, chips. Pool bar in the evening was ok but for hygiene reasons they want to up the act on keeping the floor clean as it had food and drink spilled and dried in to it also the couch chairs need to be cleaned of food and drink stains..only cleaned in the morning and the plastic glasses weren't cleaned properly. Hats off to Stefan and his assistant for the lovely photos and his big personally. I know I'm sounding dissatisfied but compared to other 4 star hotels I've been in I'd only give it 3 stars as I think the food let's it down. I didn't have a bad experience here but it's my opinion on staying at this hotel. Would I return to this hotel .. I'd think twice.

Great family friendly hotel

We stayed here recently with a 2 year old. The room was spacious and we had a fridge. My only negative about the room was that there was no lock on the window in the room. This was not safe with a small child in the room. The facilities in the hotel were fantastic there was something for everyone. The food was lovely. A great selection. The hotel is a bit away from the centre but there is a free shuttle bus which was great.

3rd time - and last time

Reviewed By Dougie82

3rd time of visiting this hotel and sadly the worst of them all. It's really changed and not for the better. Firstly the positives: Super close to the airport, so if only going for a few days it's convenient. Rooms are spotless, hotel is genuinely pretty clean too. Air con in room was fantastic- helped for great nights sleep. Supermarket right on doorstep, good access to beach. Main part of Torremolinos 10 min walk or Benalmedina 45 min walk if you want to stretch legs. Sadly the negatives: Biggest issue was the sunbeds! Was shocking. Didn't get a bed once round the main pool in 4 days. They don't have anywhere near enough that's needed and don't 'police' the reserving. Half the beds were empty all day but still reserved. Major let down not being able to sit by pool. It totally ruined the stay. Restaurant service very bad. Hard to get a table in morning, lots of dirty plates and cold food. Had dinner once in 4 nights and had to wait 25 mins for someone to take drinks order. It's great to see hospitality industry back on It's feet but this hotel really can't cope with it now. I use to love staying here, sadly I won't be back.
