Really charming little zoo. With good selection of species and enclosures which look quite comfortable for animals.
Big cats, hippos, giraffes and gorillas can be found. Also wolves and owls.
Perfect place to spend couple of hours. Looks like it gets crowded with school trips so week day afternoon can be most quiet time to visit.

If one wants to see how people lived in past centuries, it is advisable to visit the place. It shows small peasant huts, old workshops and present the well preserved atmosphere of villiges which have disappeared nowedays. Besides there is a good restaurant there, where one make teste the peasents dishes. I recommend the visit to families with children - both, young and tens.

One of the main historical attractions of Opole, recently modernised and equipped with some information media (sound, shadow, CGI panoramic view) is a "must-see". And worth visiting, as it offers a great story of Silesian history (between Czech, German, Polish, Jewish, Austrian, etc influences), and even an impressive view of the town and surroundings.

I you like Gothic architecture you will be more than happy. It takes you max half an hour to visit a church. I would recommend also going for a lunch in old Opole market (Rynek). The church is beautiful. As far as I was informed It was erected in the mid 16th century.

Go into this place if you really have a lot of time. There is interesting things, you can listen to polish songs (actually museum exposition and audio-guide IS IN POLISH ONLY), but you really need to spend over 4-5 hours here.

The brigde is a great place to see the dam and the river. On clear weather one can see for miles. On a foggy or misty morning or evening the atmosphere is eerie. All in all its a must see when visiting Opole

Locate next to the city museum, an old tenement house has been renovated and each floor has been decorated in a different style and era connected to the city's past. You can see what everyday life looked like for the citizens of Opole. Thumbs up.

Хорошее месторасположение. Уютно и все сделано со вкусом, часто бывает что-то интересное). Минус конечно это ее площадь, хоть и два этажа, но довольно маленькая.

To urocze miejsce na odpoczynek i chwilę zadumy, znajdujące się zaledwie 30 km od Opola. Sanktuarium św. Jacka to niewielka kaplica. Mieści się w zamku z osobnym wejściem po schodach prowadzących w górę. Obiekt ten pełni także funkcję Centrum Kultury i Nauki Wydziału Teologicznego Uniwersytetu Opolskiego. Wokół rozciąga się dobrze utrzymany park z bogatą roślinnością, niewielkim jeziorkiem i ciekawą dzwonnicą. W pobliżu znajdują się 2 restauracje serwujące obiady i desery. Obok Sanktuarium znajduje się Sanatorium, które to budynki tworzą jakby jeden kompleks. Można tam miło spędzić kilka godzin, bądź zatrzymać się też na dłużej i skorzystać z noclegu i bogatej bazy zabiegowej.

Nie jestem z Opola, o Śląsku Opolskim wiem tyle co z lekcji geografii czy historii, czyli mało. Muzeum Śląska Opolskiego powinno zatem być miejscem, które pokaże mi historie i tradycje tej regionu. Na samym początku zostaliśmy skierowani na wystawę czasową o piernikach. Ciekawe historie, bardzo dużo do czytania, więc spędziliśmy tam sporo czasu. Następnie panie wskazały nam kolejną wystawę, wystawę ceramiki, która mnie niestety nie porwała, kolejne wystawy to malarstwo, stara apteka, wystawa zdjęć (bardzo ciekawa zresztą), archeologia. No ale gdzie w tym wszystkim historia tych ziem? No więc po ponad godzinie spędzonej na zwiedzaniu tej mieszanki wszystkiego, zmęczeni dotarliśmy do tego, na czym nam zależało najbardziej. Szczerze mówiąc natłok informacji i wrażeń z poprzednich wystaw sprawił, że nie za bardzo mogłam się skupić na historii regionu, minęliśmy zatem wystawę, od czasu do czasu podziwiając eksponaty.
Jeśli idziecie do muzeum w celu poznania historii i tradycji Śląska Opolskiego, to polecam iść od razy na górę. Darujcie sobie ceramikę i całą resztę. Albo rozłóżcie zwiedzanie na kilka razy.
