Wasserfallsteig

Reviewed By Katiemilia - Helsinki, Finland

We visited Bad Urach on our roadtrip kind of accidentally and had no idea what to do there. We heard about this waterfall and decided to go and see it. It exceeded all our expectations and was beyond beautiful! The walking route was nice and quite short. I recommend to go up behind the waterfall, although it might be a bit wet and slippery. 2 hours including walking was enough for us to have a nice waterfall experience.

Panorama Therme

Reviewed By Thomas Desmond J - Coleraine, United Kingdom

This thermal bath is excellent value, has a wide variety of water-based exercises and activities (some guided by instructors) and the staff are friendly and helpful. The charges are far below what you would pay in a hotel and the facilities much better. The best value is in the form of a weekly ticket. Parking is ample and there is a restaurant in the complex, serving drinks, pastries, snacks and meals. Whenever my wife feels her joints are creaking or tired, we say we should make a return to Beuren, and we very much hope to do so.

Ruine Hohenurach

After striking out during our first attempt, we tried again about a month later. It turns out the ruine is losing some if it's structure so the forest/park service is doing some safety maintenance; a fencing was placed to keep it from falling on your head. What a great visit we had. The base in intact so you can see the design of the structure and the view is great! We made a third trip a few weeks later and enjoyed our lunch with a view of Bad Urach. So glad that winter came late so we could enjoy the weather before heading home after Christmas.
The recommended 2-3 is for the hike up/down and the visit.

AlbThermen

Well, it's a high quality thermal spa with fantastic outdoor hot pools. Great!
I recommend to choose basic ticket without sauna extension. The reason is quite simple. According to German tradition saunas are mixed and people prefer to relax nude. This fact itself is not a problem, but most of these saunas visitors are men of the age 60+, what gives rise to the suspicions that most of them came to take a look at young beautiful ladies and may be to find some romantic adventure. If so you do, forget it, it's a wrong place for your hopes. :)
All the rest is great. I recommend to visit it.

Runder Berg

Reviewed By Otto B - Stuttgart, Germany
