Went here tonight for a family meal. Great service and great food. We had the 3 courses for the price of the main course which was a great deal but actually it's 4 courses for the price of the main as tea and coffee is also included. None of us could finish at all as portion sizes are very generous ! The manager Rhonda and her team couldn't have done enough for us. One suggestion though....... What about a cheeky glass of wine or beer instead of one of the courses...just saying ;-)

Came across this tranquil little restaurant on a day out we will really quite hungry and decided this looked really nice.
Inside is quiet friendly and very busy so that was a good sign.
Their menu is varied and have daily specials, we decide on a cooked breakfast which didn't disappear the food was fresh and of a quality it was delicious their tea was some of the nicest I have tasted.
Friendly staff they were so attentive I would recommend this place how highly.
Pricing was a little expensive but as I said it was of a very high standard.

A wonderfully kitsch and terribly quaint cottage just opposite Dunluce Castle. Asides from making a great pitstop on a rainy visit to the castle it serves delicious cakes and various other food items. I tried 3 cakes and all were yummy. The open hearth was very welcome on a cold day! My friend also bought a woolly hat as it sells some gift items.
Nice staff.

Elliot's Bistro

Elliot's Bistro has earned itself a well deserved reputation for its good quality food! Fresh, locally sourced produce has been an important part of the way we've done business since well before it became trendy! Elliot's offers a wide range of classic and contemporary dishes, a large choice of wines and cocktails, friendly staff and good value for money. We always have a good selection of vegetarian and gluten free dishes on offer and can cater for a wide range of other dietary requirements. We also serve Celia Organic Gluten Free beer. A buffet lunch proves popular each lunchtime, and with entertainment at weekends, it is definitely the place to be whether for a quiet business lunch or 'a good nights craic' on the Causeway Coast!

Popped in just after 2pm and the lunch time crowd was just thinning out. We only wanted drinks and scones which was fine unless you wanted the Raspberry and coconut ones. They were obviously either very popular or in short supply. Not a problem we still had a choice of plain, cherry, fruit or walnut, so we were well served.
We didn't sample the hot food but it looked very appetising from those dishes we saw on the way past.
Note the regular coffee would be a small in my book and I saw no evidence of free refills mentioned by another reviewer. But it was a pleasant refreshment stop nonetheless.

I'm a regular in this coffee shop, mainly because they serve the best scones in Coleraine. Their coffee is also top notch, not too strong like some of the more well known chains of coffee shops. Another favourite are their toasted sandwiches, very tasty with crisps and salad on the side. They have a loyalty card so I usually get a free coffee once a month.
The only slight criticism I have is that some of the staff could do with injecting a little enthusiasm into their work. They can barely raise a smile some days, it can be a bit off putting at times. Having said that, there is one lady who works most days (her name escapes me, dark plaited hair) and she is always very pleasant and chatty, her co-workers could do with a few lessons!

Whoosh

Thai & Vietnamese food.

Reviewed By Jellybellydancer - Burscough, United Kingdom

I'm not a big fan of sandwiches for lunch, so Whoosh sounded perfect for a light lunch while passing through Coleraine.
The menu is not extensive, but it still wasn't easy to choose; i ended up with chicken fried rice, Daughter 1 had beef and broccoli noodles and Daughter 2 had chicken satay skewers. After ordering, we took a seat at one of the tables. It is very 'no frills'; no cutlery, napkins or condiments on the table, they all come with the food, which is in generously sized take-away boxes.
I cannot fault the food, it was delicious. It tasted fresh and not at all greasy like some takeaways can. Best of all, when we were full, we simply fastened the boxes and took them with us for later...
We enjoyed it so much that we stopped of again a few days later ad I the most authentic Thai curry I've had outside Thailand. I only wish I lived closer!
