Attention to details! Cool modern western vibe with fun surprises all around!

Reviewed By Danausc

We were craving a staycation and decided to do this over the memorial weekend. Best decision! We loved the eclectic luxury and the fun new western design. I’m not a cowboy type at all (sneakers are my life) and I loved the how hard they represented Fort Worth and the western roots. Super opposite of a lot of other modern new places that are trying too hard to be a city they aren’t. Highlights: 1. The rooms! We didn’t get the best view but the decor and attention to detail was insane. Fun surprises everywhere from a dozen lighting configurations to the smoothest sheets my toes have ever touched. 2. The grounds - the lobby was straight out of instagram. Be prepared for the coolest backdrop to surround you when you sip your cocktails. The pool also had a super chill but fun vibe. Also the place feels small and boutique but the more you explore, the more you surprised you find (like the front swinging loungers to the corn hole stations and fire pits. 3. Friendly service - the pool attendants were on point and helped with all requests. Same goes to the servers. I didn’t love the front desk experience since they seemed rushed and didn’t explain much about the hotel, but I highly Recommend downloading the Marriott Bonvoy app and using the messaging features. The responses are so fast. They even hooked us up with a great kids experience when at the last minute plans changed with our 3 year joining us, and I let them know in the app and they added some cool kid friendly amenities to the room (stool, stuffed horse toy, crayons and scavenger hunt). TripAdvisor Note: - I read previous reviews and agreed that they did cook some of the reviews since it’s obvious the valets wrote at least a dozen of them. They were fine but no reason to write a hotel review about the valets. Not loving this. Management - are y’all aware of this? - the negative reviews are from people that paid very high rates. I can see this being frustrating if you paid a super high rate during a very busy stay. Not sure if it’s worth $650+ a night for a standard room (we didn’t pay that) especially if service is busy. Hoping we didn’t just get lucky on the service! Tip: stay if there is a special Drover event (eg around Christmas). We learned about the hotel when a friend invited us to go with them to see Santa there. They hook it up nicely for their guests during special holiday events! (S’mores!) Highly recommend the Drover, especially if you can get a “good” rate during a less than super busy day.

Great little place to stay

Reviewed By F6475BTjm

This is a charming little boutique hotel located on Brushy Creek near the Chisholm Trail. It’s within walking distance to downtown Round Rock. The rooms are quirky and modern. They are very neatly kept. It’s a step off the beaten path, but it makes it very nice since no road noise can be heard. The balcony was nice. And overlooked the creek. You could watch ducks, geese, and kayakers pass by drinking your morning coffee. They have an in room espresso machine, but not a coffee maker. They also did not have a microwave in the room, but you could go to the fitness center and use the one in there. The bar was cute. All of the staff were extremely nice. We only had a couple of issues when we stayed… but neither of which was the hotel’s fault. We had very rude next door neighbors that decided to get rip roaring drunk and forget anyone else was staying at the hotel or might be trying to sleep. We alerted the hotel staff, and the issue was taken care of immediately. They were also very helpful with suggestions on local places to eat and visit. Very lovely place to stay.

I’ve never had a bad experience at a Comfort Suites until now. Nothing looks clean and it smells. The rooms are not at all what the pictures show! The beds were awful. Just nothing good to say about this location. I know momma said if you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all but people need to be warned before making reservations!

Non existent housekeeping during a 45 day stay (rates were full price)

Reviewed By smontgomerycasa

I am a Platinum Hilton Honors member who was staying 45 nights after a speedy sale of my home. The rate was standard without discount for a long stay which was fine but the lack of housekeeping, despite frequent requests, was not fine. My shower was cleaned zero times. Disgusting! The sheets were rarely changed unless I completely stripped the bed and piled them on the floor. I even sent an email to the owner of this Hilton hotel with my experience and did not receive a response. It was truly astonishing how bad it was.

My husband and I are frequent Marfa travelers. We love the area, and the discovery of new experiences -- and people -- each and every trip. We have lodged in all of Marfa's best hotels, and have enjoyed some remarkable Airbnb accommodations, but nothing could have quite prepared us for what Adam and Clark have created with the Lincoln. Our casita (number 7) was simply wonderful -- well appointed, spacious, every conceivable amenity, quiet, convenient. Nothing in central Marfa is more than a 10 minute walk. With an understated charm often sought but rarely achieved by hosts and boutique hotels, The Lincoln has nailed it. After 14 years of coming to this enchanted region of Far West Texas, we are hooked. We cannot wait to return. Thanks, guys, for making the Lincoln Marfa's best home away from home. We will be back.

This location is great fot those who need to be near shopping, restaurants, and more. Convenience GALORE!! There's a gas station and great convenience store right next door that sells some delicious breakfast tacos in the morning. A modern washateria too. And if you want to save gas, there's a Houston Metro bus stop right in front (route 161). The hotel has a beautifully updated interior design. A great cable package. Clean and well-appropriated exercise room right in the front. And the staff is so very helpful and friendly! ? Shout outs to Ms. Rukhsana, Ms. Sandra, Flavia, Valerie, and not to mention the manager, Vip, and the rest of the front desk staff. We could not have found a better place to stay in West Houston. ✔️
