Stayed with family and friends in a beautiful Gite with access to swimming pool, acres of grounds for exploring, fishing lakes and very friendly and hospitable hosts. Lots to do in the surrounding area but we all thoroughly enjoyed the beauty and tranquility of the accommodation and site including visits by the resident dogs. Can not recommend more highly!!

L'école des garçons cristallise le Beau, l'Art et la Nature, à l'abri des regards laisse subtilement s'exprimer la magie des lieux, valorisant la Nature, invitant ses hôtes dans cette étendue verdoyante. Une restauration authentique a été faite avec soin par ses propriétaires. L'âme de cette demeure se traduit par une atmosphère chaleureuse, mêlant confidentialité, confort et calme. Une invitation au repos dans un écrin merveilleux.

Reviewed By TesserariIn a small village outside of Le Mans, we stopped there for the night of our way to the coast. We discovered a wonderful house with spacious rooms, nice decoration and all the conforts of a modern house. We then discovered a lovely garden with many different spaces, a small pound and a heated pool. I can only suggest to try the dinner. It was lovely and original with a strong emphasis on the vegetables and herbs from the garden. With a nice glass of wine and the hosts’ warmth it made for an exceptional moment on a hot summer evening. Most highly recommended

A rural bed & breakfast in the village of Courdemanche, close to the town of La Chartre sur Loir. We have 4 newly renovated ensuite bedrooms, 3 double (1 family) and 1 twin bedroom. Enjoy a good nights sleep with traditional French breakfast and evening meal.
Wonderful cookery course with 2 nights in very comfortable rural accommodation
Reviewed By bobp10000We travelled as a family of two adults and two 12 year old boys, and stayed in two rooms with a shared relaxation area. Rooms were beautifully furnished and comfortable. Lesley and Rinus were great hosts and we felt like part of the family throughout our stay, meeting the chickens and resident owls, picking fruit in the orchard and getting advice on the best walking routes and where to get decent wine! The highlight, though was the food - the evening meal when we arrived was delicious, and the cookery course the next day kept our boys engaged throughout - making their own bread, souffles, sausages and chocolate fondants. We cooked together as a group and Lesley kept us going wih advice, encouragement and lots of really good tips, as well as some lively competition between the kids. Settling down with our hosts to enjoy the food we'd created was brilliant. Highly recommended.

Wonderful, relaxing place to stay
Reviewed By bethperry000A wonderful relaxing place to stay. Lionel the host was extremely warm, welcoming and accomodating. I stayed with my two children who loved the place and were also warmly welcomed. The swimming pool was very clean, and the rooms were spotless. The beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was generous and it was really great to sit with the other guests around the breakfast table. Although we had booked this as a stop off on our way home, we really enjoyed visiting Le Mans, which is a very pleasant city. The centre is only 10 minutes drive away and offers a good range of places to eat. Despite being so close to the city, La Brechere had the feel of being in the country. I would highly recommend this place to stay.
