Reviewed By RajivTStayed here on the third night of our Camino Walk. Good location and decent rooms, nothing fancy but adequate and reasonably priced. Caldas de reis is a small city and the hotel location allows walking access to nearby restaurants and river side. We had lunch at the hotel restaurant, the outdoor location and food made this a great experience.

A lovely Galician stay...
Reviewed By Skybird54Pension Residencia A Cruzan- is a very well run and comfortable place to stay. We had a really great time there. The house itself is spotless, with lovely gardens around it, and a really nice swimming pool. It's a nice quiet house. We had a lovely view of the sea and sunsets from our balcony.Breakfast was a great spread every morning, a mouth watering selection of breads, fruits , puddings, cheeses, meat and eggs if you wanted them. Gluten free perfectly catered for! Our hostess, Ana is such a kind and caring person, a lovely smile every morning, and as we had no Spanish, made great efforts for us with English! We would be very to stay there again, the only thing I would add, (for anywhere in Galicia) is next time we would hire a car…

A Cheap and Convenient Option
Reviewed By Simon BAfter needing a break from the hostel rooms while walking the Camino de Santiago, I got to Caldas de Reis and looked at a few options. The big factor with Pension Caldas is the price- €25 for a single room, which suited me perfectly. I was taken to a little house very close to the centre of town, where three private bedrooms shared a bathroom and kitchen, and a big garden. Location is great- very close to the bars and restaurants, the house itself is quite basic, but that is to be expected for the price. Breakfast is included at the bar where you sign in. If you’re looking for a cheap and easy way to get a good night sleep away from the snoring of the alberge hostels- this is a fine option.

La ilusión de un abuelo, la pasión de un padre, el cariño de una madre y las ganas de un hijo. Así puedo definir este proyecto familiar, mucha ilusión, muchas ganas. Hemos preparado una finca de casi 5.000m de terreno con todo el cariño, con una casa que data del año 1866, y de la que el abuelo era fan de ella, de ahí el nombre. Esta casa ha sido preparada para tu descanso, con un máximo de 14 personas y con una atención personalizada. No admitimos niños por las características del terreno e instalaciones y queremos premiar el descanso y silencio ante todo. La finca dispone de una casa principal de 6 habitaciones y espacios comunes y una casa pequeña que sirve de una habitación estilo cabaña, con su propio espacio no compartido. Mi nombre es Fredie, y seré vuestro anfitrión, intentaré cuidar al máximo todos los detalles para que os sintáis como en casa. Nada mas salir de la finca, tendrás acceso a rutas marcadas de senderismo, bicicleta, una zona de río preciosa... y disfrutaras de la tranquilidad de la aldea y la montaña, a un paso de las mejores playas como A Lanzada a unos 15 minutos en coche. Estamos en una zona muy bien situada para desplazarse a sitios de interés.

Top of the class for a mid-price hotel
Reviewed By CardorojoDon't be fooled by first impressions. The hotel is on a fairly busy road, but once you step inside the front door, it's as if you are in a different world. Everything is immaculately maintained, and the hotel manager seems to be everywhere, checking that everything is in tip-top order. There's a lovely pool at the back of the hotel; the breakfast is one of the most opulent I've ever experienced in a mid-price hotel; what's more, it can be enjoyed in a beautifully kept garden. All in all, an excellent hotel.

Reviewed By VivienukThe apartments are quite new and modern and are fully equipped. Staff are helpful and efficient. Pool and grounds are well maintained. Below ground car park bit tight on space but manageable. Location good but vehicle needed. Areas beach 5 mins walk, fabulous- sandy with rock pools and restaurants, and Sanxenxo and combarro 10 mins drive. Pontevedra 20-30mins. Good location and would definitely return.

El apartamento bien equipado con utensilios de cocina en muy buen estado. Hemos estado cuatro días y ha sido una experiencia muy buena en todos los aspectos, tanto por el apartamento como por la buena disposición de Antonio para hacernos la estancia más grata. Y por supuesto la belleza del centro de Pontevedra y la amabilidad de sus gentes. Y de la gastronomía decir que los sitios que visitamos eran buenísimos

Reviewed By IzasgarzeEstuve 5 días con amigos. El apartamento es muy cómodo el sofá cama es más cómodo de lo que se puede esperar. Cocina completa y lavavajillas con pastillas. Haya papel de cocina, bolsas basura y cafetera.... Medidas de limpieza adecuadas, perfecto para familias. La única pega es a anda escaso de menaje. Además estaría bien algún cambio más de sábanas y toallas sin pedirlo, aunque si lo pides te lo hacen sin problemas. El anfitrión muy servicial. El ambiente es tranquilo. La piscina muy bien cuidada. Aparcamiento genial. Las playas quedan cerca. El monasterio de Poio a 10 minutos andando. Hay un súper muy cerca , se puede ir andando perfectamente. Lavadora y secadoras de pago pero buenísimas , detergente de cortesía.
