Nice clean and warm

Reviewed By Victoria W

We stayed here for a night in a two bed suite. The rooms were very clean and comfortable with hot water and heat working perfectly. The kitchen was old but had ample kitchen accessories. The beds were comfortable and bedding very clean and warm. The suite was much larger than the photos showed. This motel was excellent value for money. We would definitely stay again. The little town was friendly with a gas station, nice sandwich/breakfast shop and a couple of restaurants.

Basic room

Reviewed By 241judye

A very basic hotel. The room and lobby were clean. Lack of carpet made for a fairly noisy experience as could hear the people above us very early in the morning. The bed and pillow were moderately comfortable. No personal items in the room such as shampoo and coffee. Unfortunately the lamp buzzed intermittently throughout the night as well. I’m sure if we had have figured out what was causing the buzz the hotel staff would have replaced it.

West Yellowstone Lodge

Never had a chance to stay here

Reviewed By Starfallmo

I never had a chance to stay here, but wanted to write a review because of a shockingly horrible reservation process. We reserved on agoba.com and all seemed fine. Then there was an email at 1:30am that we would be switched to a different room halfway through the stay unless we responded by 10am (with a reply link that expires). We missed that deadline as the reserver was working in the ER and tried to get a phone number from Agoba to call and sort it out, but the number they had was to a transportation company in Bozeman. I left a message but received no response. Then the reserver got an email that the credit card was declined even though there is no issue with the card. We put in a different card on the Agoda site but there is no way to double check the address on agoba to see if maybe the zipcode they were using was wrong. The second card was also declined though it is a fine working card with plenty of credit. The lodge did reply on the moving rooms issue through Agoda and we asked if they could do the card over the phone so we could figure out what was the issue with the credit cards but no response. We put in a third credit card - also denied so the issue was likely with the zip code possibly being put in wrong when we originally reserved, but they would not speak to us to try to fix it. We were both trying to get through to the phone number they gave us but the extension given was not working. Finally I got through and the person answered. He did not answer as though he were answering a business phone (did not say name of lodge). When I said I was trying to pay for a reservation he asked if it was the name of the person who booked and when I replied yes he said “why won’t you people leave us alone? We are not interested in fraudulent reservations.” When I politely said “sir, I can assure you we are not trying to make a fraudulent reservation.” He said “get lost!” And hung up on me. After traveling to 45 countries and all over the United States this is the most difficult time I have ever had making a reservation and have I ever been treated this way by any accommodation provider. I was actually quite shocked by the phone interaction. We reported the incident to Agoba who told us they were sorry this happened but the reservation is non-refundable and still marked as booked. We have no idea if any of our cards went/will go through on this reservation for which the owner has clearly told us we are not welcome and Agoba’s only suggestion was to call again in the morning. I think that is a pretty unbelievable expectation given how we were spoken to. Yellowstone is a tough place to get a reservation so I understand this place will get business regardless, but it is really unfortunate that people treat others with such disrespect simply because they can. And I would recommend using a site other than Agoba. Their portal is much less sophisticated than others, their customer service is not at all helpful, and if you have an issue they apparently have no power to help you get it fixed.

Antlers Lodge Cooke City

Antlers Lodge is located on Main Street [US Hwy 212] in Cooke City, Montana, just 4 miles east of the Northeast gateway to Yellowstone National Park. This quaint mountain town is nestled in the heart of the Beartooth Mountains just 3 miles from Montana's highest peak in the Rocky Mountain range. Our resort is the largest and most private in Cooke City, boasting a beautiful, historic lodge, built in 1913 which is situated just off main street in town. Enjoy lunch or dinner at Antlers Taphouse, located in the lodge, or enjoy dining on the patio and take in the amazing views! We serve beer and wine in our restaurant and feature 15 Montana beers on tap, a "taste of Montana"! Located behind our lodge, away from the noise of the street, in the shade of the mature pines, manicured lawns and flowers, you will find our cozy log cabins or if you prefer, one of our new, modern motel rooms. Our cabins come in a variety of sizes; from two beds all the way up to our newest, large two-bedroom cabins, which sleep 6 or 7 comfortably. Regardless of what you choose, you will find a cordial staff and immaculately clean accommodations.

Nice place! Friendly Housekeeping Staff.

We stayed for several nights and enjoyed this easy-going, western style motel with cabins. We stayed in a roomy, VERY CLEAN, motel style room that had a TV and limited wifi access. The bed was great. Wifi is spotty every where in the Wy mountains so that's not a problem for us. I truly enjoyed the super friendly housekeeping staff. I really wish their lodge restaurant had been open but understand the staffing issues. Also wish this motel or the town of Cooke had a laundry. Also I really needed ice and had to buy it at the convenience store, so ice on site would have been very helpful - or an in- room refrigerator in the motel rooms. I understand the cabins have tiny kitchens which would have been great. But overall I would rate this motel as very good and a great place to stay close to the park while in Cooke City. I appreciated the family friendly atmosphere very much. Also kudos to the staff for the lovely flowers and flower pots on site - very pretty alpine feel to the whole place!

My fiancé and I were very disappointed with our stay. We booked a queen room that we expected would have an en-suite bathroom. Instead we got a double bed and the bathroom was down the hall. There were multiple long black hairs and pubic hairs in our sheets. They did not respond to our email complaint that we sent them the day after our stay. All in all, very poor.

Stayed about a week with Tony at the Lure Me Inn. The cabins were great, quiet, very clean and very well maintained. Everything was provided in the cabin that we needed, pots, pans, even a charcoal grill. The best part of our stay was the owner, Tony. He had knowledge of fishing in the area, local shops, and eateries, etc. He checked on us everyday. Enjoyed. Looking forward to coming back and staying again.

Hidden Gem in Montana

Reviewed By Karen J

We just returned from a five night stay at the Silver Bow Club (SBC) in Montana, and five stars doesn't do it justice. From start to finish this hidden gem was perfect in all areas. The staff was friendly, responsive and professional. They greeted us warmly when we arrived and that warmth continued throughout our stay. The food was delicious and certainly not the "ranch" food you might expect. We went from a full breakfast to interesting lunches and gourmet dinners! The chefs went above and beyond to accommodate special needs/requests. The accommodations were homey and rustic but in a luxurious way. Finally, the activities that were included in the package were so much fun. I know many people come to this area for fly fishing, but we really enjoyed the other activities that were offered at SBC. We did trap shooting, horse back riding, fly fishing and an ATV tour, with a special shout out to Sam and Earl for the harrowing but fun ATV excursion; they took us way up into the mountains where the views were incredible. It's worth mentioning that there are many activities on property as well, including corn hole, bocci, fishing, exploring the huge property on the readily available golf cars and many other indoor and outdoor games. Honestly, we had planned to do more off property but only ended up going on one side trip to Butte (which was definitely worth visiting) because we loved being at SBC. Overall, we had a wonderful stay at SBC and would definitely recommend it to others.
