expat in Addis , My family and I had a fantastic experience with EthioTours . Had a fantastic morning tour on lake Tana . Beautiful sunrise and a fantastic breakfast. The guide was really knowledgeable about all the animals we saw and explained about the fishermen and what they were doing. Saw plenty of hippos too! It was an amazing experience, we visited three beautiful islands . We would like to thank Melese for showing us all unique areas and sharing the stories . Private tour was absolute best way to relax and see the beauty of the lake. Highly recommended !

Our family could not have imagined having a more meaningful trip to Ethiopia. Our youngest dau ghers were adopted from Ethiopia 12 years ago, so we decided that our family of six would experience the sites and culture of the beautiful country togehter. Abebe went above and beyond. Despite the orphanage being closed, he connected us with the orphanage director who knew our girls well. She was able to provided us with information we didn't know and give us important family documents. Because of Abebe’s engagement and persistence, we were able to locate and connect with dozens of our daughters' family members, including a brother and sister we didn't know existed. Of course, this was not a part of the original plan, yet Abebe adjusted because he knew it was important to us. It is not an overstatement to say that this trip was life changing because of Abebe’s commitment to giving our family the best experience possible. This would have been a 5-star rating without the orphanage and family elements. I wish I could give him bonus stars.

I travelled to the Simen Mountains with Bravo Ethiopia having met Addis at Lakemark Hotel. He was very careful to ensure that all my arrangements could be accommodated. I went with his tour company from Gondar to the mountains and then on to Aksum. He stayed in touch with me to ensure all was to my satisfaction. We travelled by van to the Simen Mountains then immediately hiked to the campsite where our belongings were waiting for us. The guide was wise enough to give us many rest stops so that we could take pictures of the breathtaking views- Simen Mountains should be a must see for anyone going to Ethiopia. Under the circumstances, our meals were more than satisfactory. Even more importantly, there was a very heavy rainfall that night and our small tents withstood the wind,and the rain! I went on to Aksum in another van with some of the original group. We were comfortable though the trip was very long due to the terrain. I would recommend Addis and his company to anyone planning to see the north and central parts of Ethiopia.

I’m reviewing my tour with Yama Tours which, because of the pandemic, did not happen. It is important to chose a reputable tour operator and one you can trust. Our tour had to be cancelled because of both the pandemic and civil unrest. In these situations, you are concerned about your deposit. Yama Tours could not have been more thorough, trust worthy or understanding. Hopefully, within a year, we will be able to rebook our trip with them, having dealt with them in adversity, we look forward to joining them once situations allow, Ethiopia is a travel ambition and we couldn’t be happier to enjoy it in the capable hands of Yama Tours!

We had a wonderful day with Getnet's team in Debre Lebanos. They organised a trip for our entire group and everything worked just perfect. Excellent driver (driving through Ethiopia means something different than in Europe :)) and very knowledgeable guide. The price they offered was also competitive.
