Perfect getaway with pets

Reviewed By CountryFloss

My husband and I spent 5 nights here with our little old dog (who is like our child). Lisa and Wayne were so welcoming and lovely and our little man was very welcome. We stayed in the room with the little private deck and it was very clean and comfortable with modern furnishings in a relaxed atmosphere. The motel is only a few km away from nice restaurants, cafes and CBD, and there are also some clubs and eateries in walking distance. We highly recommend the Narimba motel (with or without pets) and we will definitely be back.

Lovely resort

Reviewed By Natimay86

Lovely resort located close to the CBD and beaches. Underground parking included but it’s a very small lot if you have a big car. We were staying on the top floor and there’s is no lift. The apartment was big with2 balconies and foxtel. 2 things that were issues for us was the bed was so uncomfortable and the ceiling fan made a Constant rattling noise so we had to turn it off overall a good overnight stay. There’s also a lovely pool as well and contactless check in

What a Shi*thole. Stay away!

Accommodation was booked for a group in two rooms. Advertised as backpacker accommodation, my expectations weren't very high. This place didn't even remotely approach my expectations. The band playing the hotel that night started their sound check just as I entered the room. As the sides of the hotel building are open, I knew we weren't going to sleep that night and we had an early start the next morning. The hotel smoking area is also adjacent to our rooms and the place reeks of cigarette smoke. Ashtrays are provided on the crappy wooden seats outside every room and it seemed that every guest spent their entire waking hours puffing away outside the rooms. Probably because there is nowhere to sit inside, no aircon and a feeble fan mounted above one of the double bunks in such a way that it is ineffective in providing any relief. The rooms and buildings are in a terrible state of disrepair. The windows haven't been cleaned in years, the flyscreens were hanging off, the whole building is decrepit. I went to the communal kitchen to find it locked. It remained that way for the entire weekend. Stay at your peril!

Very pleasant place to stay

This B&B is close to a main side street through the centre of Coffs Harbour so quite convenient if coming by road, although it's about 10-15 min drive from the railway station if coming by train. There is only on-street parking for guests. For driving anywhere in the Coffs region, it's a very central base. This is a traditional B&B with the owner living there. The accommodation is an attached but independent section. There is a nice entry and backyard, and the property is well presented. The room was comfortable, with a small windowed hallway, bathroom and bedroom/living room. It had a double and single bed, desk and chair, bedside tables, small fridge and tv. All furnishings were nicely matching and in excellent condition. Since the previous review the TV is now a LCD panel (approx 22") and digital channels are available, although there is no wi-fi/internet. The bathroom had a comfortable shower, hair dryer, basin and toilet, all in good condition and presentation. The shower head was an adequate height. Toiletries were also provided. Breakfast is included, and the host is generous and flexible in providing either a hot or cold breakfast. They made a great start to the day and the owner is a great conversationist, and people person, but without being intrusive. Highly recommended.

DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS!! WISH I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS

Reviewed By Trabee44

I planned and paid $600 for a hens night that could not take place due to Covid-19. I phoned this venue to be reimbursed, i was told to bring in my receipt and there would be no issue. I phoned a few days later to organise a day to come in and see the manager for my refund as promised, to be informed that the previous management (Nick) had done a runner and the NEW people running this show now refuse to refund or even re-book the event i had already paid $600 for!!! disgusting behaviour! not to mention $400 of it was for the kitchen who have not even ordered let alone prepared any food i paid for despite the SAME chefs and staff that still work there and did not do a runner. The new manager i spoke with was uncaring, rude, used inappropriate language and gave ME attitude when i explained the situation. I have worked in the hospitality industry for over 20 years, NEVER have i seen anything like this! Grafton is a small town and when word gets around how these new owners do business, they will not last. Absolute atrocious treatment! There are MANY pubs in and around Grafton, PLEASE do NOT support these rude, selfish S O B s!!!!
