Easy stay for the white water rafting

Reviewed By LWood2277

We stayed here because the white water rafting trip leaves from there and it was convenient. It's grounds are pretty but the rooms are kind of like dorm rooms. Not a big deal. They're clean. The guy running the place was very nice as well.

The rooms are soooo cute and nice. Clean, and cozy ? we had the whole place for ourselves. Kitchen with everything we needed. And a beautiful view over the mountains. Couldn’t have asked for more. Will definitely stay here again. AND it’s the place we’re the stort of Flåklypa comes from. Flåklypa is the most seen Norwegian movie ever. A puppet movie for kids. But everyone in Norway know about This. ❤️❤️

Nice location, but terrible service and cleanliness

Reviewed By Simon J

We had booked a weekend stay for a larger group. The owners clearly did not have an overview of our booking. Many different prices and a lot of mistakes done regarding bed linen, apartments and rooms. The schedule for our weekend main meal was changed to an earlier hour, due to the fact that the owners had double booked for two large parties at the same night. This resulted in a lack of staff for our three course dinner highlight - which was not a highlight at all. The staff was clearly not quialified, they did not know the serving concept and were not co-ordinated at all. Drinks were served 25 minutes after the first course, and all parts of the group had to order seperately. The main course was served before everyone had finished their first course. The dessert was served when half the group was still eating their main meal! The staff was uninformed, inexperienced and not service minded - poking several guests asking if they were finished with their meal. The service personell did not speak the local language at all, a big drawback when several of the guests were elderly and that the hotel and location brags of being a local and tradional destination. In addition, when the owners were contacted in order to better the situation, the owner blamed our group and the organization of the event, even though they were the ones responsible. Truly a fiasco event. The food was nice, especially the main course, but the first course was at a minimum and the whole three course menu was served within an hour. Not acceptable! The two-night stay was not nice - very expensive and not worth the trip unless you truly love the mountains. Hopefully, the owners will step up their game, get a grip of the organization structure and reduce the prices. This was not a success.

Nice quiet hotel

Reviewed By haakonks

Stayed here for a night on the way from Trondheim to Oslo. The hotel is at a historic farm in Gudbrandsdalen. Its a small family run place, with only a few room. Our room had the amenities you would expect, was spacious and had a nice view. An excellent breakfast was included with the room, and the hotel also offers dinner in the afternoon, which was very good. Had an excellent stay here, much more personal than a big chain-hotel. A lot of old Norwegian history around the hotel if you want to explore.

Prisvärt boende i Trysil

This is a caravan park out of the ordinary! All facilities are of great quality. There are lots of activities for children! Bouncing mat, play area indoor and outdoor, bike trail, farm, climbing park, theatre show and mini golf (the last three you have to pay extra for, the farm was free this year). Tip: If traveling with children, pay to pre-select you camping location and select one close to the outdoor play area (the same end as mini-golf and climbing park). The park even has a nice family restaurant if you don’t want to cook one night. Will definitely recommend this place!
